    Sugar cider donut

This place is awesome for kids! My cousin had purchased a Groupon ticket for us to do the corn maze, the original price is $10.99 a person (I think or $11.99). We were a group of eight (adults). When we arrived, they was a station selling pumpkins, a farm stand that sold their homemade bakery goods and veggies, and their fun filled activities for kids. We had finished the corn maze in 30 minutes. I have to say, if it wasn't for the Groupon, I wouldn't have paid full price. I think kids will definitely make use of all the activities have. I did buy their cider donuts, very good. Their hot cider and homemade raspberry lime Rickey, both were too sweet for my taste.

    Hay Ride

Groupon for 4 people for a hay ride and a shot at the corn maze. Upon arrival, we were worried about the desolate location. Sure, it's a farm, sure, it's in Ipswich, but the only other hay ride that I have experienced was constantly packed as it functioned as a high-selling farmer's market. This place is very different. We started with the hay ride. Just our group, VIP/tractor style. The driver was knowledgeable about the fields and we took full advantage by inquiring about every section of the farm. However, it was a short ride. I love tractors and could have spent at least 30 minutes with itchy hay. After the ride, we ventured into the corn maze. It was ~space~ themed, which felt appropriate given the crop circle phenomena circa the movie Signs. There are child like clues and activities scattered throughout. Truth is, we never got out. The clues and activities are hilarious in a 5 year old kind of way. Being the only ones in the maze, we blasted Shakira and just roamed around for an hour trying to get out. Bothered by hunger, we left through the entrance. No regrets. Pretty hard maze if you are not keeping track of your movements. 100% fun. The farm also has some fresh produce and hot cider available for purchase. Nothing else to say about that. Overall, we had an enjoyable time, but it was mostly because of the group that went. The facilities were fine and if you're in the area, have a groupon, and have fun friends, then please head on over. Otherwise, if you're 20+, it is probably not worth it.

They left us in the Corn Maze. Luckily a worker noticed our car in the parking lot and came back to check. Horrific.

The contract called for a minimum of 80 guests and we put down a deposit of $10,000. No one could have foreseen what happened with COVID-19, but by the summer it became clear that the wedding we planned would be impossible. Bramble offered us 3 options: 1. Hold the date of December 11th but cut down the guest list to 30-50 people. 2. Postpone the wedding to another date in 2021, but pay an additional $2500 to reschedule 3. Cancel the wedding and forfeit $6,053 of our $10,000 deposit. The first option was not even possible given the legal limitation on indoor events that were in place in July, 2020 and remain in place. We couldn't have had a wedding with 30 guests under orders issued by the Governor of Massachusetts. The second and third options were equally unacceptable for obvious reasons. We loved the venue and don't blame Bramble Hospitality for all of the problems caused by COVID-19. That being said, we shouldn't have to forfeit more than $6,000. We have been going back and forth with Bramble but have not been able to reach a reasonable compromise. Anyone considering booking with Bramble Hospitality at Willowdale should consider our experience before booking your wedding.

You will find beautiful decorated rooms, Christmas music playing in the background and wonderful volunteers ready to answer your questions about the history of the place and its former owners. In addition, they set up the kitchen with freshly baked cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. They also set up tables where you can enjoy your included treats. Plan ahead and book it before you arrive as they are only open for selected weekends during the holidays and can/will sell out as they limit the number of people/cars that can enter the property. They charge an additional fee for this event but it is so worth it. This place is also one of my favorite places in New England and you can visit at different times during the year and enjoy walking on the grounds with their amazing water views or exploring their gardens. Everything is so well maintained and you can even come and have your picnic and enjoy a relaxing afternoon during warmer months.

They give you a map upon arrival to aide your exploration. We were able to see pretty much everything on the property. The estate is also located right on the water so not only are the grounds beautiful, but you get to enjoy pretty views of the ocean as well. I will say while it was still beautiful, it was very cold visiting in March, as it was windy right by the water. Nothing inside was open so you had no place to warm up. Despite this I still enjoyed it. Also none of the gardens were obviously in bloom so keep that in mind. It was $10 per person to view the grounds at least so I'm not sure what they charge when it's actually open. Overall great experience and I would love to visit again during the summer.

This was the best experience I've had planning an event, which I've planned plenty. The Staff on the day of event was more that accommodating, they were pleasant, and willing to do anything needed to make the event the way we envisioned it, From Nik going the extra mile helping us set up the back drop!!! The room was set up beautifully and all Nik's recommendations where perfect. The bartender Kristin was pleasant, happy and fast! The waitress Kathie.... was more than accommodating, she was on the go... if we needed something before I could look for her she was there and ready to help. There was no leaving us to figure anything out, they literally took care of it all. My biggest thing is service always and the staff and facility were exceptional! We'll definitely be back for any future functions. A & T Dalton

He's very friendly, organized, professional and a phenomenal communicator (always made himself available for a phone call and responsive via email). We had tremendous confidence in him and it's one of the main reasons why we chose the venue. The other two primary reasons is that the venue is beautiful (it's a hidden gem) and the food is excellent (we are harsh critics and confirm it's great). All of our 100+ guests raved to us how beautiful the venue was and the food (food comes from the restaurant downstairs - go there for dinner!). Thank you again Nik along with all of the wonderful staff. We will always remember you all and your generosity making a rainy day nothing short of perfect!
