Mariola and her husband, Mike, has been cleaning my condo since 2024 and they broke my trust today. I was working remotely today while Mike cleaned my place and I noticed that the toilet bowl didn't look clean. I asked him if he had already cleaned it and he said yes but that he couldn't get the hard grime off the toilet bowl. He said he didn't have the chemicals for that and that I need to scrub it daily to get it off. Fine. After he left, I went to the guest bathroom and looked at that toilet and it also didn't look cleaned or scrubbed and looked like it was just wiped down (like I said, they have been cleaning my place for a while now so I know what to expect). And when I looked at the tub in that bathroom, I noticed little a few specks of hair in the bathroom tub and the whole tub was dry (there should be signs of water if he had cleaned it!). So I ran my finger against parts of the tub and dust came off! He literally didn't even bother cleaning that tub! I texted them and he said that if I want a deep cleaning then that would be extra. Umm I didn't need deep cleaning, I just needed them to clean my house like they are supposed to! What made it worse is that they didn't even apologize and instead tried to gaslight and blame me for not calling them every three weeks. Well, they do regularly clean my place (3-4 weeks) and it was just this month that I had to reschedule for another two weeks out due to my job situation. Getting a house cleaning done is a luxury in this economy and it's really disappointing that people are not genuine and reliable anymore and will instead try to cut corners if they can get away with it. I sent a quote for various cleaning companies Mariolas was the first one to respond with a nice message, but please don't be fooled from her message. She states to give her a call or text to a certain number so I called right after I called no pick up but they did send me a text. She said please text here I said can you please give me a call instead to speak on the phone. No call I end up calling back and asking questions she then asked if I could send her pictures of the home to give her me a better quote me thinking why not just come and see the home yourself? I asked her for eco-friendly products and which one she uses because I am very particular on products used in my home. I believe I have the right to know what products/brands are being used in my home due to my pets and children, she got very defensive saying she does not know who I am so she cannot give out the information. Obviously, you don't know who I am. I am a potential customer. I don't know who you are either which is why I wanted the information on what product you'll be using in my home. This company and crew is professional and detailed. They really do more than just cleaning. I had a toilet issue on clean day and Mike took care of it. I really think that they care about me after using them monthly since 2017. That's 7 years. I love they fact they use vinegar and it's not toxic. We were able to coordinate even with me out of state, and my friend was thrilled with the service - said it's the cleanest she'd ever seen the place, including when she moved in, and that it smelled amazing. This one star review is unfortunate because despite Marisol having a complete lack of customer service skills, her employees are very hard working and do a great job. This review is not about them, it's about the owners of this company. I used them a handful of times over off several months. For the most part, the cleaning service was good. I noticed a few things here and there that were not given attention, such as vacuuming certain corners of the home, no big deal. I raised this the night before my last cleaning with them. I didn't think what I was asking was a very big deal and I only raised one concern. They told me because of this request they will bring in a different crew. I didn't think anything of it, the new crew came and started cleaning. I then have camera footage of this man on my ring doorbell that I have never met, making a phone call asking one of the cleaners in the home to open the door of MY HOUSE. A cleaner opens the door, and this man walks right up my stairs to my second floor, and starts snooping around my home. When my husband asked him who he was he simply said that he is the owner and that his name is Michael. I ask the crew who he was and they said that it was their boss. I ask why he was here and they said they have no idea. Given that I had been communicating with Marisol via text for several months, it was very confusing to me to have Michael randomly show up to my house, ask someone who does not live or own my home to open the door and start walking around unannounced. Michael kept walking in and out of our home through the front door as if he owned the place, about three times. I finally became very uncomfortable and very upset and asked him to leave. I told him that if he wanted to come and inspect the condition of my home for a quote, then he needed to set an appointment with me. Mind you, this company had already been cleaning my home for several months and they had never sent anybody to the home before the first cleaning. I came to find out that Marisol had sent Michael to my home in order to inspect the condition and to try to increase the price of the cleaning in the middle of the cleaning!! This is well after multiple text message conversations where we confirmed how much I would be paying for the cleaning. Marisol and I had a few run-ins in communication in the past, and it was obvious that this was out of spite. I told Mirasol that I was very upset and very uncomfortable with her sending a complete stranger unannounced to my home without permission. It's one thing for the guy to ring the doorbell and introduce himself to the owner of the property, it's another thing to let yourself into my home without asking or introducing yourself before snooping around. I can't imagine what they do to people who allow them to come clean their home when no one is watching them. In response, she told me that it is not my fault that I do not trust people!!! She also told me that I am difficult to work with and that she didn't understand why this was a big deal. Apparently, if I had an 8am cleaning appointment with them, then I should know that random strangers are going to show up to my house, NOT CLEAN, and start taking notes of my home and personal belongings. I couldn't believe how the owners treated me. They treated me as I gave them unfettered access to my home and as if I owed them something. They treated me as if I had no right to privacy of my own home. Based on the other one star reviews directly connected to their terrible attitude and customer service, I am sure Marisol will respond and try to attack me. It only goes towards the fact that this lady should not be a business owner. I plan on filing a report because this situation really shook my husband and I up. Quite honestly, Michael looked at me like I was dog shit. This raises no doubt that I made a huge and unsafe mistake by letting these people into my home. Do not hire them. read more
