Unprofessional and Disappointing I visited Dr. Conaghan's office in September 2021 to get one tooth replaced, ended up getting a bridge. Now I can't seem to get another appointment scheduled. 1. Flipper Fiasco: After wearing a flipper for six months, I finally went in to get the tooth screwed into my gums. Unfortunately, Dr. Conaghan tightened it too much, resulting in a broken bone. So the only other option was I lose two more teeth to get a bridge. Unbelievable! But it was what it was... I refuse to walk around with no tooth. Dr. Conaghan made me a new flipper that day. I had to wait another three months before getting the bridge put in. Once I got the bridge put in I was extremely happy with it. The color matched perfect. Other than losing two other teeth that I didn't intend to lose, I was pleased. 2. Communication Breakdown: Despite calling numerous times in the past few years, I can't get through to make another appointment. The lack of responsiveness is infuriating. 3. Screening Calls: Dr. Conaghan's office screens calls, making it even harder to reach them. Instead of being professional or even an adult and say I can no longer take you as a patient, instead they won't answer your calls. The reason I'm saying that is, I've called from my phone numerous times and cannot get an answer but I call from a different phone and they answer immediately. 4. Not knowing why they won't take me as a patient again is beyond frustrating. Overall, my experience with Dr. Conaghan has been unprofessional and deeply disappointing. Poor care. Money up front before they do anything. My immediate dentures don't fit well and can't wear long without a lot of pain and can't eat solid food after a month. I don't recommend. read more

Highly recommend. Dr. Conaghan takes great care to make sure you're not in pain. If you are and have trouble with numbing meds, don't get fully numbed, he works as quickly as possible to relieve suffering. His staff are friendly and wonderful people as well. I have a rare condition where numbing meds don't work well for me, but the doctor did a fantastic job. read more

Absolutely AWFUL experience here! Please stay away and do not take your loved ones here, especially the elderly who can't really explain what they're doing to them. I think about how many people has this place pushed out their door in the shape I was in. I don't even know where to start honestly. I had multiple teeth extracted in preparation for false teeth. I expected a meeting, explaining what was going to be done. What to expect. What color of teeth I would like. Something. I had an exam and I asked the "dentist" if he thought I would be a good candidate for false teeth and he said absolutely, we can schedule you to have them extracted and temporaries the same day. I came in for my next appointment....signed a paper with aftercare, and I was in the chair getting prepared for extractions.....I was like wow that was fast? I asked if it was going to pretty painful, or if the shots usually kill all the pain. The lady assistant said, we're not here to hurt you you'll be fine. The "dentist" began by trimming my jaw bone under my tongue down to fit better. During this process he applied tremendous force on grinding tool to cut the jaw bone. Repeatedly for an extended period of time. It felt as if he was burning the bones instead of using a coarse enough tool to remove any material and was causing a searing pain. Then they gave me shots and began prying between multiple teeth, fully committing to an entire side. Then came the horror when the dentist did not have the skill to efficiently remove any of my teeth in a timely manner. It took approximately an hour and a half to have all my extractions. Mid way through I was grimacing and groaning till I finally shook my head and mumbled, with my throat full of blood, I can't take it anymore. Indiacating I need more medicine or something. They kind of giggled and said oh you're tough we're almost done. The entire procedure they was pausing and cutting up laughing with the other staff, talking about where they were going to get drinks after. When I got home my mouth felt like it had a blow torch taken to it. Every stitch was almost embedded into my gum where they were tied way too tight. Nothin would ease the pay from trauma of them not properly assessing the situation before my procedure. The entire first night I laid with a flow of blood and spit running from my mouth. I could do nothing but groan and kept pacing my legs up and down while I laid in agony. They prescribed a minimal amount of pain reliever. When I called on day 3 and said the pain is more than I can handle, their response was we're not prescribing any more pain medicine and there is going to be pain after the procedure. Note I was a 27 year old 6'2 200lb male that has worked in heavy industries my entire life. I've never experienced any pain close to what they put me through. And if that's not enough there's more. Not a single pair of the false teeth they made for me could even be considered remotely correct. The temporaries aren't expected to be perfect. But I later on two separated occasions purchased two sets of permanents and neither set was even wearable. I couldn't talk. I couldn't eat. They wouldn't stay in. The cause painful sore spots all over my mouth. They gave me the worst monkey lips you could imagine. And it was blatantly obvious I had them in The second set I received was nowhere near lining up with the top and bottom. Only a couple teeth touched together when I bit down and the center was nowhere near the center of my face. Their motto is if you leave with them they won't remake them. Well they are prosthetics that's I had never worn before. How am I supposed to know that they are so wrong when they repeatedly say, "it's not going too feel good and you're going to have to get used to having a piece of acrylic in your mouth". Every time I tried to make an appointment it was going to be weeks to get in which I couldn't wait for or go that long without being able to talk. When I went to get my second second of permanent the lady assistant went to put my bottoms in and shoved them onto my jaw and I pulled back and said NO it hurts....she said they have to snap in.....reached into my mouth and forced them down. Doing so she ripped the skin on my bottom jaw and when I got to the car I took them out and they were full of blood. It felt like somebody had stabbed a hole under my younger for a over a week. It was at that moment I said I will NEVER step foot in that office again. I BLEW THOUSANDS OF DOLLAR ON THIS CLOWN. I ultimately ordered a set from Russell Klein that does everything through mail and that turned out absolutely PERFECT. Not a single sore spot in my mouth. They're solid as a rock. I talk perfect. They look perfect. I eat steak and every food you can think of. And I don't even notice they're there most of the time. read more

After waiting for over a month for an appointment with my mother-in-law, who needs dental care badly, we found out that their doorways will not accommodate a wide wheelchair. There is no back door accessibility either according to the office manager who was very insensitive about it all. How awful & embarrassing. Worst experience ever. Going to contact a lawyer. Was charged for permanent dentures and got temporary ones. It is a law that your name be in them and is not. Also he did sugery shaving bone when I didn't need it. My face was bruised horrible. I have pictures for proof. Ended up in the er for pain meds because he said he can't perscribe percocet because he's not an oral surgeon. Then he shouldn't be doing surgery. I know of other people he has ripped off and held them down when performing surgery. He needs to be stopped. read more

I am very pleased with this office. I was so nervous going in to get a crown on my tooth, but everyone was kind and patient and did their best to put me at ease. I have a few more dental procedures to get done, and I will definitely be going back to them. read more

New patient appointment today at Marion Dentures & Dental. Dr. Patrick Conaghan came into the room without introducing himself (behind my back since I was in the chair facing away from the door) and spoke with the assistant for a couple of minutes, talking about all of the various work that I would need to have done. He eventually walked over to the chair, and stuck his instruments into my mouth for all of about 25 seconds. When he asked me if I had any questions, I questioned him about one of the procedures I overheard them discussing and he started to say something in response and then just stopped and said "never mind, you don't have to do it if you don't want to" -- with the tone that suggested that him having to explain himself to me wasn't even worth his time. He then left the room, and I questioned the assistant whether or not it was normal for the dentist to only spend 2 minutes in the room. She said "well he's done everything he needs to do." I said, "well who is going to explain all of the recommended procedures to me?" (Thinking that it would be her, the dental assistant.) Nope! It's the lady out front, the person sitting at the reception area. That's right, they marched me right outside to the front door where I came in and apparently in addition to answering the phones it is also her job to educate patients even as the patient who needs educating has to step around other patients who are walking in. Of course, I was extremely frustrated at this point and decided that I wanted to hear the rest of what the dentist was going to say before he decided I wasn't even worth finishing his sentence for. So I told the receptionist who was doing her best to go over everything with me that I had a question for the dentist. She said she would go try to "find" him, and came back a few minutes later stating he was busy on a conference call but "maybe" she could answer my question? I said "no thanks" and left, since I had pretty much decided about 20 minutes prior that I'd never be coming back. #WorstExperienceEver read more
