The gentleman who took our order was perfectly nice and welcoming. My husband and all three of my kids ordered food, and I ordered a coffee. Later, when the lady/owner came out from the kitchen to serve the food, she asked me what I wanted. I simply told her, "I'm not hungry, I'm okay with my coffee." As she walked away, she called me "weird." I honestly couldn't believe it. We were a family of five sitting there, four people were eating, and I was a paying customer as well. Why would it be "weird" that one person at the table simply wasn't hungry? I wasn't complaining, being difficult, or asking for anything special. I was sitting there enjoying coffee with my family while they ate. The comment was completely unsolicited and made what had otherwise been a pleasant experience feel incredibly uncomfortable. As a restaurant owner, you would think making your customers feel welcome would be the bare minimum--not making personal comments about them because they chose not to order food. The gentleman who took care of us was very pleasant, and I want to make that clear. Unfortunately, the interaction with the lady/owner completely changed the experience for me. There are plenty of restaurants where my family can spend our money and be treated with basic courtesy. Unfortunately, after this interaction, we won't be returning.

Well, Cy seems to be the hardest word, so I'm going to Press on with my reviews without saying it. I don't really like Crepes unless I'm in France. The Japanese versions aren't great and I've had a lot of Americanized and Japanese versions over here in the US. Only a few French ones, and only one of the French ones - or maybe two - really impressed me. This one is not bad to be honest. Considering that Houston is kind of obsessed with Crepes I think it's better than a lot of the imitations and it's better than a lot of the really really bad food here at the Cypress outlet mall, which has virtually no good options, and not too many in total either. Also even though I might have leaned towards 3, they had surprisingly nice service and friendly people working here - at least the day that we came - so I will give them a 4-star rating although for food alone it would probably be closer to 3. For five stars they would have to have some genuine French crepes on the menu. And do them well, like Crepes Du Luxe in the West Side Market in Cleveland, who also manage to nearly consistently win my award for nastiest service. At least here they're nice to you while giving you a "bang average" crepe, although I've been told I never bang average.
