I live here and have been to every restaurant in a square mile. I've been here twice in the last 45 days. Cold customer service and salty ass food. Beans are cold but the beer is too. Overpriced like a mf for what you get. Won't be back. Much better places to choose from on the same street. This place is able to stay open because of tourists from The States. You could throw a single shrimp on a cracker and they'd love it. Not sure what happened here but never again. P.S. They add a tip to the bill regardless of the service. Booooo read more

Crossed the border, got in a cab, asked the driver to take me to Los Arcos Restaurant in Tijuana. Driver kept telling me to go to this one in the playas, told me it was the same company but that this one had better views. I told the driver that i wanted to go to the one in TJ and he still took me here. Charged me 25 bucks for the ride. I went in and asked the staff if they were the same company and they assured me it was. I looked up the two restaurants and compared them and surely enough they were completely different companies. This restaurant must have a contract with the shady ass cab drivers. Avoid this place. read more

So this place looks good but we wouldn't know. We asked the hostess if they had a bar because we were only there for drinks. She said yes and proceeded to seat us. As she handed us the menu, she stated we needed to order food. We told her we had asked about just having drinks at the bar and she said that they do not allow that. So I proceeded to walk back to the hostess and asked her to explain why when we told her we were just going to have drinks, she didn't say anything. She stated that was their policy. read more

This place is pretty large, there's live music, and lots of wrestling. This place could potentially be lots of fun for a group of friends hanging out and drinking. It's very loud so it's almost impossible to have a conversation. You have to yell. But I guess that could be fun too! My boyfriend ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the seafood combo platter. We also ordered drinks. I had a Mojito and he had some I can't remember what he had. But both of our drinks tasted fine, but I couldn't taste any of the alcohol. I had to ask the waiter if this was an actual alcoholic drink. He enjoyed his fish tacos but not his drink. My dish was descent but not great. The seafood is advertised as "the best." That definitely was not the case. Won't be back. read more

First let's start with the scenery & atmosphere, scenery beautiful, atmosphere great. You can see the beautiful ocean & beach & feel the ocean breeze as you eat & chill. The customer service is ok & it can get a bit crowded in there the tables & chairs are bit to close together. A couple times I got a dirty fork, not a big deal they replaced it. I'm a big Marisco guy & I've eaten at many Marisco places in SD, LA & AZ & I came here thinking this place would be better then any Marisco place I've been too simply because it was in Mexico at the Playas, well I was wrong. It was ok not bad but the ones in SD are better. As far as the hot food goes it was good. I've eaten the garlic shrimp hot plate which was good & the fried fish & fish tacos were ok. My problem was my Campechana was not cold as it should be it was room temperature which it shouldn't be. But hey I ate it I ain't one to complain at a restaurant unless it's real bad. So then another time I get a shrimp Michelada & guess what, yup not cold it was room temperature. My girl's lemonade also not real cold just real cool with a couple Ice cubes. So I don't know if maybe they don't got a good ice machine or maybe the fridge ain't working to keep their drinks, Clamato & fish broth cold. But both times I noticed this & both those items need to be very cold for it to taste good. I drank & ate both but I probably stick to hot food next time & bring my own bag of ice, just saying. It's a good place to chill & eat & would I go back? Yes, just hope my items that suppose to be cold are a little bit colder next time. read more

I have been wanting to go down to this restaurant for a while we decided to go for lunch on a Monday. We cross the border and went to this area of TJ where the restaurant is. I have been to other restaurants that serve seafood further south in popotla and puerto Nuevo and Ensenada. I'm not really sure if it was an off day but I got fried whole fish that seemed old and dried out. I just don't think it was fresh I also don't think it was freshly made. The service and food here... hands down one of the best me and my family have been to in Playas. We had prepared black oysters, oysters, fried fish, shrimp tacos, fish tacos, the mixed cocktail and the stuffed/wrapped shrimp. Every item was beautifully presented and was delicious. The attention to our table was just freaking awesome, they would pick up all trash and wipe up stuff as we dined. I honestly hate when there's just stuff everywhere so that was just great! I order the platter of 1600 with seafood hot and cold, it was too much ceviche, and small amount of oyster, clams etc. the hot seafood was all breaded and not good quality at all, to much beacon and cheese on it, I expected more grill seafood and not too grease, really gross sorry, the service was good. We had the best experience at this restaurant. We stopped for lunch on the way down to Valle Guadalupe and the food was delicious. The views can't be beat and the service was exceptional. We're pretty picky about fish tacos and these definitely met our expectations. As an added cherry on top, I left my phone on the bathroom counter and we were halfway down to Valle before I realized it. We turned around and called and they had it waiting for us when we returned. Food was really good this was our first time visiting Las playas de Tijuana. We are use to Ensenada Fresh mariscos . And was very surprised how good it was here also . Definitely recommend this place . The staff is going try up sale you a bit to much but besides that they give up once your eating. And FYI be ready walk down a steep hill to use the restroom. So don't plan to get plastered there you will roll your way down. read more

Amazing service.....very quick and the employees are constantly on it. Amazing view!. I had 24 oysters and they were delicious but that was all I had on food. I drank quite a bit of tequila and beer but I am pretty sure my tabs were of course finagled for gringo charge. Suspicious that I spent 300 dollars in a few hours, that price would definitely reflect a high end spot here in the US. I was leaving great % for tips as well which should be noted. Went for lunch on a Thursday. Pretty busy. I'll start with my cons. The waiter accidentally gave us the wrong drinks and despite having them for several minutes and drinking from them, they took them, changed the straws, and gave them to another table. Absolutely disgusting. The drinks are terrible, they taste like straight juice. Food was good! We ordered a shrimp quesadilla and shrimp taco. The tortillas were great. Amazing ocean/sunset view! Good seafood (for the most part) and delicious drinks. Clean bathrooms. Best place for a stereotypical Mexican sunset getaway dinner and drinks on the beach. That's why they get 4 stars. They miss out on one star, because some of the food items they make good, others not so good. The crab was overlooked, so that the meat stuck onto the shell, and it could not be removed. Also the diablo sauce was put on the shell, making it a bloody mess to get any meat out. The grilled shrimp does stick to the shell a little, but it's easier to remove than with the crab. The grill flavor is amazing. The fish would have tasted better grilled, not fried. The steak was grilled and tasted good Would recommend the land and sea skewers (steak and shrimp). The oysters were fresh. I had some really bad ones next door. read more

I had a great experience at Los Arcos in July 2015. I came with a friend and we sat on the second level with an amazing view of the beach. I had a margarita and it was very delicious. The fish tacos were amazing and the prices were awesome. The lower level seems great for cold days since it has a pull down clear divider. There was live music playing the day we visited and it added to the experience. Los Arcos is definitely good for groups and I saw many families enjoying themselves. The service was great, but I had to take a star because it took forever for us to get the bill and cash out. If you're at Las Playas swing by Los Arcos for some great tacos.
