Good was very over priced for small portions. The people were nice but I wouldn't recommend it. It was a one and done for us.

Be brave when you go here. Small place and the decor needs work- a ton of work. That said, the food is very good and authentic. The ceviche is good stuff! Oddly, the wings are fantastic! Food is very bland, no flavor. The breading on the fried shrimp is basically salted cracker. Lady handed me someone else's order. Drove home and then had to drive back to get my food. 40 minute round trip and no apology. You think they could have comped part of my order or at the very least say "I'm sorry." Food was not good. Honestly. I ordered a caldo de camarón without flavor, they use the same tiny shrimp for cocktails, I also had a vuelve a la vida flavorless with a couple oysters and ton of those tiny shrimp. Food was fresh but no flavor whatsoever read more

Don't like fish and shrimp with eyes looking at me. I just left this nasty food at the table. It was a waste of money.

Have been wanting to try this place for over a year. Finally decided to give it a try today for lunch. We ordered chips and salsa for a appetizer. Chips were hot and salsa definitely home made. Very good. I got the boiled shrimp, which was excellent, and my husband got the fried catfish, which was ok. Clean and casual inside. Server was exceptional. I would order the same again. My husband will try the grilled tilapia next time. Look forward to going again! read more

We absolutely love this place! It's a hole in the wall type restaurant a bit off the beaten path but DO NOT miss this place!! This is a must visit restaurant in Greenville! Every time I go in, the food just gets better and better! Tonight we ordered the Vuelve a la Vida which was absolutely ridiculous how good it was, as just got back from Vegas eating at Michelin star restaurants and this dish blew my socks off! The fried shrimp was large and delicious, the fried catfish was excellent but the best main course was probably the Shrimp Ranchero style with the salad and rice! The rice had grilled onions and jalapeños in it, best Mexican rice I've ever tasted! The owner visited our table a couple of times, he was a very helpful and friendly older Mexican gentleman, who does speak some English! I can't wait to come back and eat here again! read more

I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later, stood in line for 5 minutes, and then proceeded pay for my order. The woman working the order window had no record of my order. She called over a younger woman who asked me about my order. I recognized this woman as the person I spoke to on the phone. She wrote an order and put it in. I then paid and waited another 20 minutes. The catfish was paper thin with too much batter and no taste. Passing through Greenville on our way home and my husband wanted catfish. We like to try non chain places. Walked in and were greeted immediately. Ordered the ceviche salad, large salad for the price and very fresh. I ordered fried shrimp and fries while my husband orders catfish and fries. Everything was delicious and the service was great. Yes, you can get fresh oysters on the half shell in Greenville, Texas. Mariacos is a hidden gem on Lee street just east of downtown with the appearance of a typical Mexican joint. However the food is anything but. They serve fresh gulf seafood and excellent fried catfish. My wife and I have eaten here over a dozen times and never been disappointed in any way. . read more
