Classic Diner on a small scale. Lovely time reminiscing with old pics of Greenville. Mom tried the grilled chicken sandwich and she said it tasted great. And the onion rings were perfect. I tried the junior burger with all the fixings and it was good. I felt like the patty was a bit flattened and small, but it was a good burger. Pass on the key lime pie. If you're from the Dallas area and you love Keller's, then you need to try CB's in Greenville. The mayo tastes the same, they use shredded lettuce, they toast the buns, and their tots are delicious! CB's was great. Today was our 1st time to eat there. We were told it's been in Greenville since the 1940's. Fantastic burgers! Hole in the wall joint just outside of downtown Greenville. The food is delicious and people are super nice. I've been going to CBs since burgers were nine cents each and Fritos and Cokes were a nickel. Not much has changed since the fifties except the location. CB's never disappoints. My mother used to go to CB's after school for a hamburger with her friends. She would take me here when I was young and tell me stories of her childhood while we ate our hamburgers. I now take my husband and three year old daughter to CB's and talk about my mother. Was passing through the area for work and did a quick Yelp search at lunchtime. This seemed to be the best rated spot in the area, so I made a quick detour. So glad that I did. Went inside on a Friday for lunch and ordered a double meat burger with cheese, a small onion ring, and a medium drink ($11.25 combo). Food was available in a reasonable amount of time, and was hot and fresh. Plenty of locals inside chatting and eating. Staff members were all very courteous and wearing masks (if you worry about that sort of thing). The onion rings were spectacular - appear to be made in house. Perfectly crispy and tasty. The burgers were "smashed" or flattened at sear and condiments were ample. Bun was soft and tasty. Frankly everything was really delicious - exactly what I could hope for in a local restaurant. Great brewed ice tea to boot. They also had a drive-thru and it was doing ample business. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back! read more

Got a chance to try this place today and it was very good. Owner took our order: 2 junior meals, one large philly, 1 club sandwich and a large tots with cheese. It was almost $35, which is sort of pricey, especially since so many Yelpers talk about how cheap it is. It's actually not cheap since they don't have kids meals. That was fine: the junior meals are perfect for kids as well. The large tots (see photo) only contain 15 tots, so I'd hate to see what a small one does. If you add cheese, it's .60. Not bad, but I've had better from Sonic. The club was very good. Everything was very good; nothing blew us away. I get that the die hards Coke here because of nostalgia. It has three tables and a counter and it feels like back home, but from a non Greenville person, it has zero heat (it was freezing), extremely cramped and the bathroom is on the outside and you need a key to get to it. That's why I'm giving it a 3. Nothing was outstanding other than the nice owner. I'm glad places like this still exist, but I wish some updating could be done so that everyone felt as at home as the regulars:) Hubs says to get the large philly: even though they say it's a pound of meat, he ate it just fine and it wasn't that big. read more

It started out years ago with a White Castle style burger as it's mainstay in an old ( and I mean OLD ) converted gas station and when it needed to expand it moved uptown .... this time to a larger ..... former Gulf station!! Here's the clincher. The business was family owned for decades. When it sold, there were some serious glitches but the new owner persevered and it quickly returned to and has surpassed its former glory. The inside still has the counter with the stools and the menu has been revamped some (really just some additions) but the key .... the original taste and continuous quality is what keeps it packed!!
