When we first arrived we went to the front desk to check in to get the key. We were told to go to another location for the code to the pool. When we got there we were greeted by a woman who told us we need a sheet that wasn't given to us for the code. We stated we weren't given anything like that and she replied "it's not my problem" that told me everything I needed to know about this place. She finally directed us to her husband who was on another floor and he had an attitude from the moment I met him. Long story short after going back and forth with my 4 children I'm 98 degree heat we finally got the code. At that point we just wanted to get our luggage inside and relax. The condo appeared clean but a little dated. I saw a HUGE dead cockroach in the master bedroom that shocked me because I've never seen them that big but it was dead and I figured maybe with it being vacant it just wandered in. I was SO wrong. I was shocked to see another one but this time alive on our pizza on the counter after we stepped out to the deck. It stopped me in my tracks because it was massive. It was late and I decided I'd call the property manager in the morning which I did after zero sleep and was told they're palmetto roaches that are attracted to palm trees. Well this is my 4th stay on the island and I've never had any in any other condo I rented. My first instinct was to leave but like I said picking up my entire family and trying to find accommodations is almost impossible and with an autistic toddler the constant change is too much so I agreed to have them come spray at 2pm. I was told to try not to be here so we went to the beach and stayed until 3:30pm to make sure they had plenty time in an empty place. When we returned about 15 minutes later, maintenance shows up to spray (11/2 hours late so we all had to wait on the deck until they were done. Now fast forward to tonight. My 3kids and I decided to go for a quick dip in the pool before it closed. We went down to the gate and our code wasn't working but another resident saw us struggle and let us in. Afterwards someone in that same household asked us what code we were using and when I told him he said the code was changed yesterday. I asked if they changed it everyday and he said no but it gets changed about every month. I don't understand why we weren't called and told?! Why not tell current residence that it was changed. If that family wasn't outside we just wouldn't of been able to swim. So afterwards I came back in, took a shower and was greeted again by a HUGE roach by the coffee maker. At this point I just want this trip over and want to go home. I cannot stress enough how huge these things are and I keep thinking I'm going to see another one and have been so uncomfortable here with no sleep. Now, The good thing about the property is they have a towel exchange, they're close to the beach, and there's nice space. The downside is the huge cockroaches, pretty much all the dishes, cookware, stove etc. in the kitchen is ran down and needs to be replaced, the on-site management has a bad attitude and did I mention the huge cockroaches?! South padre island is a wonderful place and whenever I'm here I never want to leave. This is the first time I can't wait to go home to sleep in a roach free home. Never again.

Never mind the fact that we never received the email containing the rules prior to our arrival, because my mother-in-law's email address was recorded incorrectly in their system. Never mind that my family has been staying here for twenty years and this is the first year it's ever been a problem, no matter the day of the week. The office should always have access to the housekeeping supplies at any place with an open office to serve its patrons; at any multi-unit hotel or complex I've ever stayed, this is the most basic of service offerings. Marie has completely soured our impression of this place. Thanks to Gina and Gilbert for being dependable and kind as always.

From our 22nd floor room, the Bridgepoint condos offer beautiful views of the South Padre beachline on one side and the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway on the other. The staff was very attentive to our inquiries. The negatives that I found were: (I) it seems that our condo was last updated in the 1990s, especially the kitchen and bathroom fixtures; (II) the hallway leading from the living room to the bedrooms was mirrored, the positioning of the light switches and their fixtures were definite headscratchers; and (III) the unit had (4) mounted TVs (each with their own (2) respective remotes -- some of the TVs operated with only one remote but some needed two. The condo provided a covered parking garage for residents | guests, greenspace, and swimming pool area with hot tubs.

We highly recommend this place if you plan to visit south padre island.

Same email they sent me confirmation of property with rules. No reply so I called and they claim they never got it. They said it was an unused email even though I received their emails from same address. They actually said 'you can't trust emails as they sometimes get lost'. Really? Maybe in 1993. They were not flexible in any way and apathetic to my issue. Will never rent with them again.

I believe they contracted with me without the owners consent, or they were working a bait and switch on me. What ever the case maybe, I was not notified until 6 weeks prior to arrival. They could not provide me with another Sapphire condo rental, but just so happen to have another property that was of no interest to us. They refunded our 2 month total prepayment, but now we are faced with finding and booking a never seen condo, with just 5 weeks to arrival. It would be my suggestion to avoid this rental firm.

There was a gate code to get in the property and a lock box code to get the keys to the condo. We checked in at the office and received a tag for our vehicle then we proceeded to the condo. It was fully furnished and anything that we think we wanted was already provided. Our hostess was Rosanna and she provide everything we needed. The kitchen was fully furnished from silverware, dishes, coffee maker, blender etc... The pantry had coffee,tea, creamer, cups, garbage bags, paper towels, broom, mop the list goes on. Each bedroom had flat TV's with Spectrum cable and various streaming services ( you would need you log in info). The living room had a larger tv with a small patio right off from there. The best thing about all of this beside being close to the beach, was the mattresses in both rooms. These were by far the best mattresses that we have ever slept on at any place that we have stayed. They were so comfortable that I asked what, where can I get one. We slept so well every night. I would recommend to stay here whenever you are in South Padre.
