Balcony view from 10th floor tower #1

I stayed here this past July and had an absolute great time. The staff was very friendly and professional especially Shelby! She answered all our questions and was very accommodating and friendly. I usually never give 5 star reviews but Shelby made my stay go so much smoother and stress free. I hope that Sapphire considers her for some kind of financial or job promotion. She was helping other employees and helped countless guests. It's something I saw and I hope the management here does too. Thank you Shelby!!! Your amazing. I didn't book the condo through Sapphire but I still wanted to leave a long over due review. I stayed on the 10th floor condo (pearl condo next door is on your left side if your standing looking on ocean side). The balcony was big enough for a small table and at least 8 chairs. Great place for breakfast or unwinding after a long day. The condo was fully equipped with appliances (fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, washer and dryer . We stayed in a two bedroom two bath place and had plenty of reviews for a total of 6 guests. The resort was always clean throughout and pool area is amazing. Gazebo are available for rent (for a price on July 4th weekend) and they do have beach access. Things to keep in mind, there is no onsite Resturant. You will have to walk next door to Pearl and use that Resturant. There is a little bit of a walk from the lobby to the beach. They do have their own wooden deck but there's still a little bit of distance if your carrying around a ton of beach stuff. Even the wagons get stuck once you get off the wooden deck. There are showers before getting to pool area (on way back from beach) so that's cool. There is a private parking garage on site and there is a gas station (Valero) that you can walk too if you want snacks. Just remember these condos have things like soap and paper towels but if your staying a while you need to bring more of those things. Including toilet paper! Lol Hope it helps. -Rick

We stayed here in late April 2021. We had a lovely time! They were very strict about COVID rules, but that's just life right now! The hot tubs was by reservation only, which was a hassle....you can't plan hot tubing, it just happens!! The Pearl was easily accessed and the swim up bar there was nice. There were a lot of kids in the pool bar which was a bummer, but we just ordered bigger drinks and hung out at the Sapphire pool! The beach access is amazing and the beach was clean! I'd stay here again!

    Condos right on the beach.

You won't want to leave this place; it's very, very nice. The Sapphire has it all: on the beach, huge swimming pool, awesome rooms, awesome ocean views and BBQ grills available on your floor. We rented a 2 bdrm condo and found the ocean views on the private patio, just phenomenal. There were a few "hiccups" but management was very attentive and fixed them quickly. Our kids loved the beach access and the pool as well. The staff was attentive and the place is very clean, even the grounds. The only thing lacking is a restaurant and bar on location - bummer. Oh well, if you can get beyond that, just use your grill. Sit back and relax. Enjoy.

We stayed here for 4 days and it was amazing! So peaceful, calm, and full of luxury. The condo was great with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. We were on the 10th floor with a perfect view of the beach and pool. Staff was very friendly and I liked the fact that they had security at the pool to ensure no outsiders tried to crash the amazing pool. The only problem we had was 1 out of the two elevators broke so when checking out it took 20 minutes for an elevator to get us and boy were we squished! Also, they should really have a pool bar. We had to go next door to the pearl to their bar. Other than that, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend this place for adults , couples, and families. Would not recommend for spring breakers, or young people who wanna party hard lol.

Sapphire 2504 condo Broken blender No spices salt nor pepper Hot tub full of kids and spring break college kids all day Cleaned every day supposedly but looks dirty up close. I fell and front desk was apathetic First aid kit not up to date Supposed to be strict family vacation spot and spring breakers jumping into pool and hot tub with open beers one jumped into hot tub with big big bottle of tequila Pearl next door play loud DJ from outdoor balcony all day with hip hop music. Pearl rents to spring breakers who party day and night Loud place.

Staff is incredibly rude. The Security guards think that there are local law-enforcement, which is a terrible combination of ingredients.

From our 22nd floor room, the Bridgepoint condos offer beautiful views of the South Padre beachline on one side and the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway on the other. The staff was very attentive to our inquiries. The negatives that I found were: (I) it seems that our condo was last updated in the 1990s, especially the kitchen and bathroom fixtures; (II) the hallway leading from the living room to the bedrooms was mirrored, the positioning of the light switches and their fixtures were definite headscratchers; and (III) the unit had (4) mounted TVs (each with their own (2) respective remotes -- some of the TVs operated with only one remote but some needed two. There was a gate code to get in the property and a lock box code to get the keys to the condo. We checked in at the office and received a tag for our vehicle then we proceeded to the condo. It was fully furnished and anything that we think we wanted was already provided. Our hostess was Rosanna and she provide everything we needed. The kitchen was fully furnished from silverware, dishes, coffee maker, blender etc... The pantry had coffee, tea, creamer, cups, garbage bags, paper towels, broom, mop the list goes on. Each bedroom had flat TV's with Spectrum cable and various streaming services ( you would need you log in info). The living room had a larger tv with a small patio right off from there. The best thing about all of this beside being close to the beach, was the mattresses in both rooms. These were by far the best mattresses that we have ever slept on at any place that we have stayed. They were so comfortable that I asked what, where can I get one. We slept so well every night. I would recommend to stay here whenever you are in South Padre.

The Property & Unit While the building itself shows its age (built in 1980), our 1,150-square-foot unit was impeccably clean, tidy, and exceptionally well-maintained. The absolute highlight was the breathtaking beach view right from our floor--waking up to the ocean every day made the trip. Thoughtful Amenities & Detail What truly impressed us was how well-thought-out the amenities were throughout the property: * Fully Stocked Kitchen: Everything we needed to prepare meals was right at our fingertips--plenty of bowls, glasses, utensils, dish towels, and even easy-to-overlook essentials like a colander, kitchen scissors, and cute dish soap dispensers. * Bathrooms: Generously stocked with plenty of towels, hand soaps, and adorable travel-sized shampoo and conditioner bottles. The shower was comfortable with excellent water pressure and reliable hot water. * Tech-Friendly Outlets: Device charging was effortless. Outlets were plentiful and perfectly positioned throughout the condo for all of our group's devices. Location & Convenience * Location: Quick, effortless access to the beach made going back and forth seamless. Plus, the condo is situated right near many of the area's best landmark restaurants. * Security: The keyless entry system required code access to enter key areas of the property, which provided peace of mind and made moving around secure and hassle-free. * Ease of Use: From booking to arrival, parking, and settling in, the entire process was simple and stress-free.

Review of Suntide II Unit 301 October 2025 We have stayed at…read morethis condo before and always enjoyed it. It is a beautiful, well-appointed condo with great views. In fact, we have stayed at Suntide II many times in different condos, and always enjoyed our stay. We always come in the off season as the pricing and weather is nicer. We always rent the largest condo available as we have 13 in our family and 9 or 10 of us usually stay at Suntide II. But this time, there were several issues which really disappointed us. These involved poor communication, lack of accessibility, and a ridiculous parking policy. LACK OF ACCESSIBILITY: I am mobility impaired. I use a cane or a walker. My disability was worsened since we last stayed, about 2 years ago. I realized on this trip; there are only 2 disabled parking spots for the entire building. And they were almost always in use. Which severely limited my ability to drive myself as I was not able to traverse the steep driveway on foot. In addition, the entrance to the pool area is inaccessible as well. The steps are too steep and there is no other entrance. Therefore, I was unable to accompany my grandchildren to the pool, or my husband to the hot tub, or just use the loungers to read. The beach is also not accessible from this complex, but is from the public beach access points nearby. A RIDICULOUS PARKING POLICY: They always say 1 vehicle per condo, but every time I have come, they have given us 2 parking passes, as the parking lot is never full when we are there. This year we brought 6 adults and 4 children in 3 vehicles. One family with an older child parked on the street. My vehicle was parked as near the entrance as we could find. And my daughter who had a baby and another young child parked off to the side in the parking lot but not near the entrance. I stopped by the onsite office several times to get another parking permit, as I have done in the past, but there was never anyone there. They towed my daughter's car in the middle of the night on the 3rd night without notice. Yes, there were towing signs, which have always been there and never enforced during any of my previous stays. However, the parking lot was over half empty when they towed her car. Towing a car with a baby seat in the night (ensures they get at least one night storage fee) from a half full lot is a money grabbing scheme which severely impacts my desire to ever stay here again. It cost $275 to retrieve the car. As a result of getting towed, my granddaughter missed being a flower girl at a wedding they were to attend in McAllen, because the towing yard would not open up in time for them to arrive on time. POOR COMMUNICATION & LACK OF ACCESSIBILITY: This is a VRBO listing, but the contract for rental is with Padre Island Rentals. They sent lots of emails including more than one with check in instructions. The first one I received regarding check in said to go to their office to check in, before going to the condo. I thought that was strange as other rental companies gave us a code to the door for self-check-in. But I followed instructions. That's when I found out that Padre Island Rentals office is not accessible. There are many steps to enter the door. I did manage to find a ramp at the end of the building. It was narrow with no rails, and nothing to prevent you from falling off the side of the ramp. After I got inside, I told them I was there to check in, I was told quite rudely that I was not supposed to come there, to just use the code. I replied there was no door code in the email, and it would have been nice to know that before trying to access their building. Again, rudely they said I didn't need to be there, to find the email with the code. It turns out, there was a subsequent email which had been sent with conflicting check-in info, but I had not read it yet. Also, when I called PI rentals the day after my daughter's car was towed, to explain what happened and ask if they would issue a parking pass for her, they rudely said "one pass per unit no exceptions" and slammed down the phone. DISAPPOINTMENT: We come to the island almost every year for a week with a large group of friends and family. We rent condos or houses at several locations and all meet up on the beach, at the clubs and restaurants. We go fishing and buy fancy coffees, jewelry and clothing. My family lived in Port Isabel for many years. Coming to South Padre has always felt like coming home to me. But it doesn't feel so welcoming now. We are all going to Port Aransas next year. I don't know if I'll ever be back. But if I do come to South Padre, we will not stay at Suntide II and we will not rent through Padre Island Rentals.
