I had some pretty hefty work done with Dr Rigney and here is my honest takeaway : Key difference with my three visits at Athens Advanced dental was, Dr Risinger was not there to give me bs or talk to me like a child. He was courteous , patient and stating the facts of what he believed was best for me with options. I felt like he wasn't trying to sell me on anything, just the facts and answered every one of my many questions. I also felt zero pain with major work done. He was the only dentist in 10 years that took his time to explain any and all concerns I had including insurance questions and didn't make me feel like I was just a sale. They charge you full price for the items they don't file the claim for. When you call them out on not filing they claim, Joann says she has to file a paper claim now and it takes 45 days. That is BS! I have been trying to get reimbursed since January this year and they give you the run around and blame my insurance company. Even had a conference call with my insurance company and Joann that does the billing because my insurance wanted to know why they didn't file the claim. The dentist is a whole different story as well! He comes in, doesn't speak to you, gets an attitude with the dental assistant and degrades her constantly because she isn't moving as fast as he thinks she should.
