Unfortunately, I've been to more dentists than I would like. Dr. Mark has been probably the best one. It's a very relaxing atmosphere, I never sit waiting to get in, and the time spent in the office is usually shorter than other places I've been. There is less time waiting on Dr. Mark to show up in the room than other places. Dr. Mark and his staff are great. There is never even a hint of pain. The final product is fantastic. Not being from Granville, this is the furthest I've ever driven for a dentist, and I'll keep driving. read more

Labatta was right. I didn't trust the dentist after all the sales pitches so I only did a small filling. Now my tooth is in pain and sensitive (which was perfectly fine before the filing ). Filing was not done by a doctor, just an assistant. I'm not sure if it's legal here cause I've never had anyone other than a doctor done my filing. The dentist was over-nice, trying a bit too hard, and I felt like I was visiting a used car dealer when I went for my cleaning. I had at least two requests to recommend them to friends for cash; a bizarre survey that was essentially asking me to recommend them to friends; and a seemingly endless barrage of extra products and services to buy, not to mention a dental plan of action that would have cost a king's ransom. I live in Granville and they keep sending me junk, on what seems to be a weekly basis. They gave me a stack of their business cards with my name on them, like I was starting work for Amway. I want the dentist to be like any other doctor: I go in, get the work done, pay my bill and leave. Won't go back, although the rock and roll hygienist did a nice job. You know, I erased all my other negative reviews, but this is the one I'm going to let stand, since getting a bad pizza isn't the same as a bad dental experience, and if I can save someone the pain (literally), then I think I have an ethical obligation to do so. I had to edit this review again because I only alluded to how painful the work was that I had done here. I also noticed what looked like spam reviews that have been rightfully filtered by Yelp and thought I should add additional detail to dissuade people from making my mistakes. Other than my cleaning done by the rock and roll hygienist (he has a well-respected band in Columbus, and I hope he's not there anymore), the dental work done by the doc was more painful than any I've ever had. Even my wisdom teeth being pulled was CONSIDERABLY less painful. If the government was trying to extract information from Al Qaeda operatives, they could do no worse than hiring the good doctor to make a trip to Guantanamo and work his magic. I seriously thought it would never end. I would rather light my fingers on fire than go back. I have nothing against Dr. Mark personally, but I think he should have chosen a different profession. He would have made a heck of a salesman with his boyish good looks and penchant for sales: it's never too late to change careers. read more

I am a Dental Hygienist who was able to substitute when Dr. Marks permanent hygienist needed some days off. Dr. Mark is an excellent dental provider who does top quality work and understands the individual needs of his patients and will customize your dental care accordingly. Dr. Mark takes the time to answer questions about a patients treatment plan gives the individualized attention that patients deserve. Word around Granville is that this office can not be trusted. If you live in Granville ask around. If you don't, go somewhere else. As I said in my last post, the staff is constantly changing. It changed again last week. My favroite front desk person is no longer there. read more

As a medical professional, I was truly appreciative of the care that I received from Dr. Alexandrunas at Premier Dental of Granville. He thoroughly explained my options and educated me on the various approaches to treatment. He is also incredibly gentle...I didn't even feel the numbing shot! The office is tastefully decorated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And it was an added bonus that they are in network with my insurance (and many others!) Dr. Mark is probably one of my favorite Doctors I've ever had. He is always super nice, and even though I might not be the best at flossing, he has never made me feel bad about myself. In fact, last time I was there, he gave me what what probably the best pep talk of my life. I have had a great experience at Granville Dental. Dr. Mark and his staff are very nice and make you feel like an old friend. Dr. Mark is nice, but not in a pushy or fake way. I feel like he genuinely wants his patients to have a good experience and will continue to ask throughout the visit if you are doing okay. I had some significant dental work done by him and his staff and I couldn't be more happy with the results and the way I was treated. Myself, husband and two children all see Dr. Mark and have for two years now. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the hygienists and dentist are very professional. I have a son who has a stomach condition that turns and keeps his teeth very yellow. This has always been a source of embarrassment for him. Dr. Mark was able to recommend products, some over the counter, that have transformed not just his smile, but the way he feels about himself. I guess I like to have a nice dentist who gives me advice and recommends products to help my family's overall oral health and wellness, if you do too, give him a try and judge for yourself. read more

My elderly mother was a patient of this practice ( Granville Dental) , but had to find another dentist because this office WOULD NOT LEAVE HER ALONE! She had to cancel an appointment and wasn't going to be able to reschedule for awhile but they called multiple times a week to try to get her to make an appt. On top of this they flooded her mail with advertisements, something every week. It was like a STALKER, and that is not an exaggeration. Whoever in this office decided that the best plan of action is to pester people to death is totally wrong!! read more

I work in dentistry, occasionally as a traveling sub for dental offices that need someone to fill in for the day. I've subbed at over 40 dental offices in the Columbus area thus far and I can tell you without a doubt that I would never work at this office ever again. If you ask anyone in the dental industry in Columbus about Dr. Alexandrunas, they will quickly tell you that he is an insufferable, rude asshole that you should never work for. Dental employment agencies refused to work with him altogether or they have extensive lists of people who refuse to go back and work with him. The dentistry I saw in the office was adequate but I cannot speak to pain or discomfort in the dental chair there because I was not a patient. However, they push unnecessary high dollar procedures and products and are just nauseatingly over nice. Dr. Alexandrunas thinks he is God's gift to dentistry but really he is just a used car salesman who mistakes rudeness and condescension with his employees for leadership and professionalism. I've not met a single person who worked with this guy who liked him. Well, his assistant seems to like him but she isn't much better as far as rudeness goes. If people who know and work in dentistry refuse to have anything to do with this guy, you probably should too. Give a more humble, polite dentist your money. read more

I'll keep this short I went to dr.mark as a first time patient after my cleaning he told me I would need all my old fillings removed and new ones put in. Since my fillings were 10yrs old and the silver kind I could kinda see his point. Then he hit me with the price to remove 10 fillings and put in new fillings would be $5000 after insurance. When I told him that seemed very high he got very upset with me and began to try to push financing the treatment with a agency that works with his office. I told him that I would not have any interest in that and that I would have to get another opinion. He then began to ask me what he did wrong and how could he better make his pitch to do the work. I explained that it was a lot of money and I needed time to think about it he then asked me if I could just pay with credit card instead. I left the office went to another office a few days later and got a totally different price. I had all the work done that dr.mark wanted to do and after insurance cost me $400 out of pocket. Basically dr.mark was going to collect my insurance money then charge me almost 2x standard cost for fillings and work that he said my insurance wouldn't cover. My bill total was $2000 and my insurance covered $1600 leaving me a balance of $400. Dr.mark is a money hungry crook his plan was to collect $1600 from my insurance then charge me $5000 on top of it. Hope he looses his practice he deserves it and I still to this day get mail and calls from his office. read more
