He was the same friendly person I had had experienced the first couple times. Calming my nerves is a key part of my visit and they understand me and my fear. Dr. Clay patiently went over my plan again walking me through the process, being totally honest about my concerns, reassuring me, helping me to find avenues in which I can get the procedures done. He's just amazing and his office staff is more amazing. I am so glad that I found Dr. Clay at Claybrooke Dental. It's taking me some time to get the procedures done because I'm so afraid of Dentist but Dr. Clay understands that and is very patient with me and allows me to be a big part of my planning, deciding on the right procedures and the right time frame for the best insurance coverage. Know that I have bad genes and have always needed fillings and maintenance on them. Dr. Gum, Toni up front, and the rest of her staff are always helpful and professional. I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes past my appointment, and they're often ready when I get there a few minutes early. I've had a few hygienists, and I like them all. The office is modern and seems like they have up-to-date equipment. The rooms are equipped with TVs for distraction, but I always request them off. They're good at keeping me informed, telling me how long the procedure will take. They'll tell me what they're doing each step of the way if I ask. They're good at the numbing as well. I don't numb easily, and they always keep the procedure painless. I can tell Dr. Gum cares about her patients and her team. I'll keep her as my dentist for as long as I'm in the area.

And for what it's worth, I've never left a scathing review for any business in my life...but I believe most folks inherently trust their doctors and are at risk of being taken advantage of by Dr Gum with recommended fillings and surgical procedures that are entirely unnecessary and perhaps poorly performed. Context: For nine years before Angela Gum, I had one filling at my dentist. I brush, floss, and use antiseptic mouth wash 2x daily, and I drink more than a gallon of water per day. In three years with Angela Gum, I had six fillings, a crown, and was told that I "grinded my teeth (not true) and had me fitted for a sleep guard. (read: she charged me all sorts of money for things I didn't actually need) Finally, at this year's appointment, when I was nearly certain I had no cavities, I was told that I needed to come back in for three fillings, and that she wanted to see me 3x per year rather than the standard 2. This just didn't sit right with me, so I went and got a second opinion. This new dentist did a thorough review and assured me that I needed "no active procedures" and had no cavities. To be judicious, I asked her to take the most aggressive preventive care posture possible, and asked if she'd recommend any fillings, and I was told "absolutely not." Not only that, but this second opinion dentist asked me "how long I'd had the crown" and I told her two years, as Dr. Gum put it in two years ago. TL;DR on this...she told me that the crown wasn't placed correctly, she'd have guessed it was years older, and that we'd need to keep an eye on it. Given my own personal experience combined with other reviews I see here on Yelp, I'm confident when I am concerned for every patient of any doctor who exploits trust for profits. If you're a patient of Dr Gum and she's recommending any fillings, procedures, or other solutions, I'd strongly recommend you get a second opinion!

Dr. Santilli makes you feel comfortable when you may be feeling anxious about that teeth cleaning or filling. The dental hygienists are the best of course! It is truly like getting a cosmetic spa experience for either 30 minutes to an hour depending on the situation and what your there for. I go for my yearly cleaning and also learned with Dr. Santilli I need a night guard to protect my teeth from grinding at night. I never knew my bite was off until I visited Dr. Santilli. My last dentist would just clean my teeth and say thanks for visiting. Dr. Santilli looks at everything from teeth sensitivity, grinding, gum issues, etc. I really get a comprehensive analysis of my teeth here which really makes me feel comfortable and at ease with my experience every time I come to visit the dentist. I never knew I needed medication for my sensitive teeth until I visited doctor Dr. Santilli, the last dentist didn't address those major issues I had with my teeth hurting to hot and cold foods. Much to my shock, I walked in for a consultation and out with my top braces (bottom ones going on February 18). A little background: I had braces when I was in the 5th grade. My parents were trying to give me one less thing to worry about in high school, so they put me in braces at a young age. Since I had them on and removed so young my bottom teeth quickly shifted. The bottom ones didn't bother me much because they show very little in my smile. The tops are another story. Those teeth stayed straight into my college years. But while in college, I needed a root canal and had a temporary crown put in place. The procedure was completed at the OSU Dental Clinic, by dental students, and falling out constantly. I became annoyed (and lazy), so I left the temporary crown out while waiting for my crown lengthening surgery and root canal. Leaving that temporary crown out made my top teeth shift very quickly and become crooked. My smile is something I grew extremely self-conscious of because those teeth show in my smile and I'm the type of person to smile with full teeth showing. But I've also long said I'm never going to be a model, so I have to live with them as is. Thankfully, I don't have to think that anymore. With the new FastBraces technology, I had one of my biggest dreams come true. FastBraces was developed to straighten teeth different for a faster, more affordable solution. This technology allows for movement of the root of the teeth toward their final position right from the beginning of the treatment. This technique results in a shorter time frame with less tooth sensitivity which is a common experience with traditional braces. Braces Bar predicted my case would take approximately 8-10 months.
