Dr Skasko was able to replace the old bonding, and balance the rest of my smile, which I didn't even know you could do with bonding. I felt completely at ease in his chair and the process was without any pain at all. My husband goes to Dr. Skasko and also commented on what a painless experience it is. I have to get my teeth cleaned 3-4 times / year because I have excessive tartar...its genetic. I've been to 5 hygienists in there and each one has been trained well. They are extremely cordial, knowledgeable, upbeat, and always looking to please the patient. When I get my teeth cleaned, I lay on a warm lavender pillow and if I'm cold, they give me a blanket. Who knew you could fall asleep while getting your teeth cleaned? They can use the ultrasonic on you, but also uses the old-fashioned scraper thing for your teeth if you can't handle the high-pitched tones. On some days, I can't handle it. I also had my mercury amalgams removed and this was painless and well worth it. And lastly, I've recently upgraded my crowns. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. They made the molds, made the temps and then sent me over to the lab to get custom ceramics. And then promptly called me to 'seat' them. My teeth have never looked more perfect. If only I give up the coffee and wine, then they would look even better!

The final and completely unnecessary straw was having me sign a document acknowledging the price if his twin needed a tooth pulled ... because you can't just send the quote home with me- you need my signature... As someone who takes extra good care of their teeth, I was surprised that during my last cleaning I was told that I needed 2 possibly 4 fillings. For context, I get my teeth cleaned every six months and there was no indication that my teeth had problem areas. The dentist, Tim, was also not very direct when telling me that I needed fillings. He came in for literally the last minute of my appointment poked a tooth or two and said he found a "sticky spot" and that I could come back to "have them patched up". I have never had fillings so I was on high alert and naturally had many questions that because I was hurried out were not answered. I compiled a list of questions and called the office back. I got his assistant who looked over my x-rays. One other noteworthy thing was that my x-rays were pristine, they showed no signs of cavaties whatsoever. She saw this and was still pushing me to schedule an appointment to have fillings. So, I did what my gut told me and got a second opinion at another practice. And guess what?? After 1.5 hours of onboarding me, running taking new xrays, and treating me to a complimentary exam - they found ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with my teeth!!! I'm horrified that I almost had my teeth drilled. I switched dentists...fast! My boyfriend also goes to NAFD and also has a laundry list of issues. We kept going back because the dental hygienists were so nice and friendly and it was close to work for the both of us. In the end, a dental practice is only as good as their dentist.
