Mark and his capable crew of artisan painters provided us with superb exterior painting and waterproofing of our one-hundred-and-seventeen year old Edwardian in San Francisco. Three stories in height and a combination of wood and stucco over wood, they prepared, caulked, primed and painted as if it were their own beloved home. Access was extremely challenging in places they managed to work with exceptional service from their preferred scaffold contractor. Mark and his employees used our choice of super-premium paint even though it costs a bit more than other paints on the market (Cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap!). We expect the job to last and Mark Bellingham Painting guarantees the job! There were a few places with wood that needed replacement and his painter/carpenter replaced those with alacrity. We have lived here for over 37 years and have had the exterior painted several times, but never have we had the quality of work that Bellingham provided. His painter, Reginaldo, came on time for 4 days, moved and covered all the furniture and rugs in the kitchen and den area, cleaned up every day before he left, and always made sure to ask if we had any questions. I recommend Mark Bellingham and his crew, when you consider your next residential paint job. We found Mark's service from a neighbor who had used him for painting their house. We interviewed Mark and another service from Berkeley, both based upon recommendations. Both prices were similar. Mark was able to identify rooms and features that did not require painting, which I felt would offset the inevitable add-on's one encounters in any house project. Tito is the crew chief, and he did a masterful job with his workers, materials, and communication with us. The paint matching took some time in a couple areas. This can happen due to lighting, etc. Definitely ask for more samples. Tito was very good at this. In the end, we found exact matches. Our home is a 1667 square foot, 3-bedroom single story rancher in Lafayette. There were nails pops and other drywall repairs needed, due to seasonal movement of the soil and foundation supports. Normal. The project was originally something like an 8-day job, and with a bit extra work, we were done in something like 10-days. I always felt safe with the crew. There was a professional, yet friendly atmosphere. After they were through, of course, it felt great to have the house back to ourselves. It is a bit disruptive, but that goes with the project. A large second story window was leaking during these winter storms and our handyman suggested we contact Mark Bellingham Painting to come to caulk the exterior. The team arrived promptly on schedule and after evaluating the window and taking photos, Manuel and Ramiro showed me that the trim had rotted and needed replacement. On a subsequent trip with foreman Tito, the wood trim was replaced, caulked, and painted. All three workmen were courteous, caring, and left the premises clean. I recently bought a condo in Rossmoor and had the entire inside painted by Mark's team prior to moving in.
