On August 1, our showerhead began leaking. We immediately filed a claim with our Home Warranty…read morecompany. They sent out a restoration company and a plumber to assess the damage. The restoration company reported that the walls were wet and that drywall needed to be torn out as well as the shower stall. The restoration contractor called liberty mutual with me to file the claim. The liberty mutual employee stated multiple times that the claim would be accepted if there were no signs of mold or rot when the drywall was torn out. The following day, another employee from liberty mutual Trina the Adjuster contacted me and indicated that the claim would not be covered despite the previous employees assurance. Even after we have had the contractor and other people at the restoration company, send all documentation photos explanation of how the damage is not from a long-term issue the Adjuster will not accept the claim and has denied coverage. We have never filed a claim on our home before and this claim is for only $4700 to pay for the removal of the damaged shower, stall and drywall as well as the repair and restoration of our shower. The only reason we moved forward with the demolition of our shower stall was that we were assured by the liberty mutual employee who took our claim that our claim would be covered unless there was long-term damage. We want the company to keep their word to us and honor their contracts or their service is worthless.
