I recently decided I'd switch my car insurance and Cooper was helpful with explaining all my discounts and coverage - which is all great, especially when I bundled everything together. 7 days after I switched my auto insurance over, I had to file a claim because some jerk sawed off the catalytic converter on my car (2nd time it happened, beware Honda Element owners...) and I was helped by Louise. The whole process - from waiting for an adjuster, having to talk to a Special Investigator because I was a brand new policy holder making a claim for expensive repairs (which I totally understood) to waiting for another adjuster to check out the car again because the damage was more extensive than originally thought - was a little lengthy once you also factor in a holiday. But the whole time everyone was friendly, helpful, called when they said they would call and did what they said they'd do, even if it was as simple as passing along a message to the right person. I myself, and my work, pride ourselves on excellent client care, so when I don't get it elsewhere it's obvious, but when I do get it, it's so very much appreciated. I was treated like a longtime client, and I'm thankful I switched to AllState. All I wanted was to confirm that my policy was closed and that I didn't owe any more money. Instead, he couldn't answer basic questions, became confrontational, and told me he could treat me however he wanted because I was "no longer a customer." Every time I asked to speak to someone else, he kept arguing, trying to get the last word, and lying about what he could see in my account. Finally, in a dismissive, aggressive tone, he said, "No, you don't owe," as if he just wanted to shut me up -- sounding uncaring, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. Then he hung up on me. When I called back, he answered with, "Are we really going to keep doing this?" I was stunned. For the fifth time, I asked to speak with someone else and finally got Josh, who was professional, thorough, and able to answer every single question without issue. I should have left much sooner. State Farm's prices kept going up until they were charging me over $260 a month for car insurance -- I had been paying about $150 before. I immediately called the office and let them know what happened and that I was sent someone's personal information. I explained it twice. She didn't listen.
