I have been a patient of Dr. Garrity for approximately 5 years. I know as time goes along, I am probably looking at some significant dental work. I will not hesitate to seek Dr. Garrity again. Recently I was having tooth discomfort. He accommodated me with an early morning appointment. He diagnosed an infection in my tooth which would require a root canal. I had complete trust with his expertise to handle this. He was gentle, calming and caring. I did have a stubborn infection and he followed up with phone calls each night. After a failed root canal (not done by Dr. Garrity) resulted in my loosing a molar, I was sent to Dr. Garrity to create a bridge. I had no idea what to expect, but Dr. Garrity was patient and explained the process carefully including a 3 hour appointment to prepare my mouth for the bridge and to precisely design the bridge itself with great care taken that the color of the bridge would match the other teeth in my mouth. It was a long appointment but he kept me entertained with his 70s playlist and even sang a few songs. I had to return a few weeks later to install the bridge which took less than an hour and was only mildly uncomfortable. I appreciate that Dr. Garrity took extra steps to assure the bite was absolutely correct and reduce the sensitivity of the teeth holding the bridge in place. It took a couple of days to get used to but the end result is perfect. I can hardly tell these aren't my original teeth. Amazing work. read more

Personable, perfectionist is how I would describe this dentist. He instantly made me feel comfortable in the chair with a friendly personality. A dentist who is a perfectionist is what you want. He walked me outside to match my color perfectly on a veneer that I broke. He was efficient and he has a very warm and inviting staff. Barbara is super sweet! About 8 years ago the tip of one of my teeth near the front broke off. I didn't do anything about it. Phobia about going to the dentist and the cost can be tough when you have a house full of kids and other things come first sometimes... Back in June the entire front of that tooth broke off exposing how badly rotted it had become. Called Dr Garrity and he got me in within hours and repaired it .......AMAZINGLY! Unfortunately that tooth affected the one next to it and began to look awful. Happy to say that after seeing Dr Garrity just now, that one also has been repaired. For the first time in many years it was time to take care of myself and I can now smile proudly showing my teeth instead of hiding them!!! When no one else could, Dr. Garrity's staff squeezed me in and when needed Dr. Garrity accommodated my schedule. Not only did Dr. Garrity relieve my pain and correct my problem he adjusted my bite. I called Dr. Garrity with a horrible pain on my right side after getting my wisdom teeth out at an oral surgeon. He answered the phone himself and got me in that day to check out what I thought was dry socket. Dr. Garrity confirmed my suspicion and treated it so that I wouldn't have to return for a second appointment since I don't live in the area. I have anxiety in any doctor's presence, but he was so down to earth and quick! He gave me some antibiotics and pain pills to ease the discomfort and make sure no infections happened! The pricing was reasonable and the office even looked into our insurance plan. It's been a little over a week and I feel SO much better! Highly recommend Dr. Garrity. read more

So far, not very happy. Came up with a written treatment plan and agreed to work to be done, price, and payment terms & when i came in to do first part of the work, the doctor changed his mind about the treatment plan, terms & price. Then he applied the money I paid to the work done (which I only had done has part of the agreed to treatment plan) & told me I owed an additional $500 & i flatly objected & then he looked at treatment plan he wrote that was handwritten and realized I was correct. He didn't realize I still had a copy of that. Even at that, the bridge he made was supposed to be permanent and not 2 weeks had gone by and the cement has loosened and it is coming off. I wouldn't have even agreed to this bridge if we weren't doing the work we agreed to in the first place & several perfectly good teeth were ground down to slivers for bonding the bridge. I also should have looked up his license BEFORE I had the work done & was surprised his facilities license expired almost 2 years ago and he had disciplinary action at that resulted in probation. I have already spent $1000 in work he did and now, not sure what my options are. I have also been put off by some of his remarks, regarding his love life. This update is 2 years later & $18,000 later. He did not use permanent cement on the crowns he put in, it rotted all my teeth, even the healthy ones he capped & they were like soft as rubber, barely salvageable & I have spent $18,000 trying to restore my smile, and I am not even close to done. There is so little left of my teeth, that I may end up with implants or God forbid, having to have them extracted through oral surgery, because there is nothing left to access to pull, and I could end up in dentures. "Dr." Garrity compromised a perfectly good filling in my mouth when he thought I wouldn't notice and when I felt a crack forming between the tooth and the filling a couple of months later, he was pushing HARD for a $2000 crown. I'm not a nervous person at the dentist so I was calm and undistracted and asked him when it happened why he had buzzed the back molar with the dremel when he was supposed to be working on my second tooth from the front and he had a wide-eyed look on his face like he had no clue what I was talking about Then he changed instruments - didn't even need that one to start my real filling, and carried on like nothing had happened. I feel completely taken advantage of. Also be prepared to be asked over and over what kind of insurance you have. It's so bizarre. It shouldn't matter what kind of insurance someone has when you're talking about treatment. If they need something, they need something. There aren't too many options with teeth! Just make a treatment plan like everyone else and tell us what's got to happen to have a healthy mouth again. I've never been to a dentist like this before. He was running late with my filling so instead of having someone notify the next patient who was sitting in the room next to me, he just yelled across my face. Twice. read more
