If something went wrong, he would make it right. Unfortunately, he has sold his business to Donn Bruns. Donn Bruns comes from Colorado, and brings with him a new style to the photography business. Suffice to say, it's not the same. Even Richard Croteau's OWN BROTHER admits how badly Donn Bruns has handled the customers. I can only share my experience, as I do not know anyone else who has used him. He came to our job site and looked around for the right backdrop, and got my boss to smile, no mean feat by the way, and the photos were posted the same day, with the ability to place an order online for either standard photos or electronic/digital photos, credit cards accepted. Our longtime family photographer was not available, and so we scoured the local area for one for this occasion. My family is a bit selective on photography, and we heavily screen online portfolios before following up with anyone. I liked what we saw on J&S's website. Jess came to my house and was fantastic to work with, especially with little kids. She has a great personality, and has an engaging manner with little kids (a lot of experience photographing little kids). it was nice to visit her studio to review the proofs with her. I found the photo packages very reasonable with respect to the local competition, and the quality was exactly what I was looking for - natural, minimal post-processing (i.e. not a lot of fancy effects). She was great to talk to in advance of the shoot, and very clear and easy to communicate with afterwards, with everything delivered in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

Despite being depressed that it took my husband 10 minutes to find our photographer after I looked for weeks, almost immediately after looking at Michael's website we knew that we had found our photographer. Michael's work was excellent. Sure, there were a couple of shots that in retrospect I would have liked and there are a few shots where I'm disappointed that there was something in the background that shouldn't have been. However, he perfectly captured the day--from getting ready, to some portraits, to taking shots of the sunset and storm. We really wanted a photographer that wouldn't take over the day and evening. Michael listened to that, and he was a personable fly on the wall all evening. He joked with us during portraits, making them tolerable, and then let the rest of the evening happen organically. He took multiple candids throughout the event that still make me smile every time I look at them. He took a nice mix of black-and-white and color photographs and took some "artsy" photos as well. I would highly recommend Michael Nesmith for events and portraits. He was is a professional, highly talented photographer with a great eye. The wedding package we selected had everything we wanted and was extremely reasonable. He had the photos back to us within a few weeks and even apologized for the delay (although I don't think 2 weeks is a long time to wait). I was very particular about the style of photos that I liked, and Michael's pictures stood out. During the interview he brought tons of wedding albums (all different kinds and at different price ranges), a folder with example pictures and his package price breakdown and more importantly, he showed me weddings from start to finish. He went to school for photography and specializes in black & white photos (which are beautiful). I was looking for brightly colored photos, but to have a photographer who can do both and do them very well is great. And he is really organized, while he goes around doing table pictures, he will hand out cards (which have the bride & groom's pics) with the website where your wedding pictures will be displayed. Even though he lives in NH, he will gladly come into Boston to meet with you and he will travel anywhere for your wedding. He is very accomodating and is quick to respond over email - which is a very important quality in your photographer. I liked him immediately. He also has really great packages for even the budget bride which include a CD with all the high-def pictures. I will need to write a review once the wedding is over, but I have a great feeling about him.

She was kind and patient with our baby and the hour flew by! Our baby had a great time! We originally hired Kate to do our newborn photos last year (April 2020), and unbeknownst to us...or anyone, they ended up being canceled because of the pandemic. It was a really hard time for us to be in a pandemic, with a newborn, as new parents, while isolated. Missing out on our newborn photos was a small but nonetheless heartbreaking loss for me. Kate was so graceful and kind, she offered alternatives and came to shoot us (from afar) outside at our home...those photos will be forever memorable. They arrived on time and ready to work setting up right away. Events United had advanced knowledge in the Kessler system (which I was very impressed with) keeping the shoot running smooth and on time. They also had extra gear with them that helped out immensely. The shoot went off with out a hitch. I will definitely be hiring Tim and his team again in the future.

Terrible photos, like someone just purchased the cameras and starting charging for wedding…read morephotography. Most are out of focus, focused on the background rather than the subjects. Lighting is bad. I asked for a release on the photos which they were happy to do but just wrote it on the CD rather than a letter or something of that kind. Wish I had gone some where else or asked people to bring their own digital cameras because it would have gone a lot better.
