My husband is dealing with a chronic condition requiring therapy over a long period and Kris has provided wonderful support and assistance to him. There were several times when there were 6-10 patients there with only 1 or 2 physical therapists. The PT assistants were not good. They would approach me and ask "what exercises did you do last time"? Never checking my file or consulting with my "PT". I also thought that the staff had excessive conversations with each other about sports, places to eat and their weekends. I felt like I was at a "frat party" several times. Unprofessional in my opinion. They did not focus on the patients. They were quick to assign several exercises and then leave you to do them never supervising or checking if you were doing the exercises correctly. In addition, loud music was playing every time I was there ...the manager constantly changing it and checking in with the staff to see if they liked it. Really? The last appointment I had was a Friday at 3. There were 7 patients there while a baby shower (or some sort of party) going on during business hours!!!!!! All PT's and assistants were enjoying the party while we were sitting there for over 15 minutes waiting to start out session - SO UNPROFESSIONAL! I shared this with my Ortho Doctor and he said this was the only place he herd "not so good" things about this palce.

Our daughter was getting married in 4 days and he was concerned he couldn't walk her down the aisle or enjoy the wedding. Dr Abrutyn put him on steroids for a short time, this was a God send, by day 2 of being on the medication, he was his old self once again. We returned to Dr Abrutyn as that was a short time relief. Dr Abrutyn referred him to physical therapy and ultimately had shoulder surgery. His surgery was successful, no pain at all during his recuperating period. He continued with physical therapy and Dr Abrutyn has discharged him as his arm is back to normal. We couldn't be more thankful for Dr Abrutyn's care. Thank you!

Got Cadillac care at those visits and eventially ended up having a knee arthroscopy done. Fast forward to a more recent time - He entered the room with a bunch of residents - rudely asked me why I was on Medicare and made me feel quite small and inadequate. His treatment for my knee also followed the payment path - instead of getting viscosupplementation - I got a cortisone shot and was told to see how it felt after a few days. The injection I got did not help - and I would not go to a physician that treated me based on my insurance coverage. He is arrogant and has a nasty attitude if he thinks you are not worth his time. It was very very disappointing considering I was a patient there before my insurance changed. I would not recommend him to anyone. Veterinarians treat my dogs better than he treated me that day.

Getting back to typical - after physical therapy, with the facility recommended by his nurse - 10 months later my best friends are still ice, a pillow to elevate and my cane!

He explained everything first to me by looking over both sets of X-ray's (one from the E.R.and the one he took that day) and then explained to my son what was going on. Even drew a picture for him of what the break looks like to give him a better understanding. Answered every one if my son's questions, even about the equipment in the exam room. We are still in the process of seeing him, as this just happened. He will be getting a waterproof cast on, so his summer won't be entirely ruined. A very caring and thorough doctor. I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!!
