I can tell you I chose to reach out to this firm based on the reviews on Google AI that indicated Mr. Perlman was very kind and compassionate. I went onto the website and did a quick chat, explaining briefly what I was looking to achieve. Shortly after the chat I received a telephone call directly from Mr. Perlman, I found is demeanor very abrupt, rude and condescending. I had legitimate questions and would have preferred a sit down, face to face meeting with all required paperwork, and a retainer check, so we could more accurately assess my eligibility for a single filing of Chapter 7 or 13 repayment plan, and the risks to my husband's assets, as he was not filing with me. My questions were rebuked as interruptions to his Speil, and he indicated he did not have time for this. I knew instantly that he was not a good fit for me or my situation. I cannot confirm the positive reviews of Mr. Perlman as kind; I would agree with other unfavorable reviews that he is generally not a nice person and had zero consideration of how long it took me to get up the nerve to make the call and seek counsel. My impression is that Mr. Perlman either does not have high regard for women, or he was having a rough morning, and he took it out on me. Again, I did not higher Mr. Perlman, but after a brief telephone conversation I cannot recommend him based on reviews stating his compassion for clients and his kind nature. In the end I took it as a sign from God not to move forward with a bankruptcy, and spent the day calling each of my debtors, and was able to secure a reduced interest rate of 0%, and a 5-year payment plan without Mr. Perlmans assistance. I advise anyone considering a bankruptcy first attempt to work out a plan beneficial to both parties to avoid having to retain a law firm such as Mr. Perlmans. It was surprising how easy it was, much more enjoyable, and the hardship programs showed much more compassion and kindness to me in our 30 min interactions than Mr. Perlamn did in our 10+- min introduction call! Mr. Perlman, I really hope you were having a rough morning, and that what I experienced is not the normal interaction potential clients receive on a daily basis.
