Items throughout the store are expired every visit. No one cares about the customers. Refuse to open a 2nd self checkout because they dont want to clean it i was told. Making customers stand in 7-8 person deep line rather than opening up another self checkout. Check out your competitors , they do it!! Horrible customer service. Charging for paper bags that they wont let you get yourself. Outdated check out consoles. Bought dough from Perrecas Bakery Schenectady NY, was molding and old and nasty smelling like fermented perfume. SO GROSS! In house bakery BURNS EVERY LOAF and bag of Rolls they bake, every time!! But shopping during a major renovation has been a disaster and I'd rather visit the Commercial Drive location until the renovations are complete. Food items are continuously out of stock. I was very pleased with my first visit to this Price Chopper. This is a very rural area, and I have no decent stores near me here in Westdale. Oh, Aldi's is great for a bunch of stuff, down in Pulaski or even in Rome, but there is so much they don't carry. I needed a ton of stuff for new recipes for Keto stuff I'm making, and I was able to find everything I needed at this store! I found a ton of fresh spices, plus the dried ones I needed, and when I got to the checkout, I sent the bag boy back to get the one thing I hadn't found (almond butter), which the cashier located for me! I spent a lot today, but I don't think the prices were any worse than they would have been if I'd gone to Syracuse to Wegman's. People were nice and helpful, too. Thanks, Price Chopper! read more

I have been a loyal Price Chopper customer since they came to Rome Ny. I taught cooking for over 22 years and did 90% of all my shopping for my classes at price chopper. Having said this, their website it not easy to navigate. And, try to download an coupon...they have told me every week for the last couple of months that my email doesn't match my password. And when i try to change the password, they continue to tell me that my email is invalid even when after they just sent me a verification code to that same incorrect email! Absurd. When i called just now, the representative has no idea why I can't access my account and told me to shut down the site and come back tomorrow. Doubtful!!! Hannaford just opened a great store nearby. AND i can access my account using my phone number. Every coupon automatically goes on my phone number... I dont have to go online or clip a thing...how great is that?
