Yikes! I'm 65+ years old so learning something complicated like FOREX trading at my age wo be difficult at best BUT MTI told me I could learn trading no problem. Spent $4000 for training and started plowing through the online training. Manual trading was WAY over my head!!! I had sales calls all the time to buy robi-trading algorithms to do the heavy lifting for me and take way less time in front of a computer. I had purchased numerous systems BEFORE I realized that the brokers that MTI allowed to be traded with at that time would not or could not allow trading with the use of self directed IRA funds! What a kick in the face considering my SDIRA is the ONLY source of funds I have available for trading!! Here I am between a rock and a hard place and I keep getting sales calls trying to sell me more algorithms...WT...??!?!? Then my salespers tells me he knows of nobody who trades with self direcred IRAs!! Why isn't that something that is asked a customer BEFORE they invest $10000++ in an oppo to make money to help their handicap children. I'd call that preyi on senior citizens and the underprivileged! I attended on of their webinars last in which the presenter, almost near the end of the session, stated the 1st 10 individuals to share their phone number will get free access to the platform. I shared mine at the very onset of the session, so I knew I would be in this group. I did not call them to finance through paypal, monthly play plan, pay upfront, or $500 off discount as my intent was the free access to test out the services before committing. The presentation was not delivered in a manner to get me 100% on board with just that (as for every keypoint on PIPS was 2 plugs at promotions). Yes, 28 years we got it. I'm a customer and the service is deplorable.. I needed to cancel and buyer beware if you need to cancel good luck. Suddenly I had to have a medical procedure and I have a high deductible. I had to give up something so it was my MTI membership. I called cust svc and spoke to a retention rep Vanessa. She was so uncaring and said I had to complete hours of tutorials and classes/quizes.. She even wanted medical records as proof.. How dare she! Like I want MTI having my medical records.. I spoke to a manager Benny de Jesus in Cust Svc.. He made several promises but never came through. He was useless.. It's taken hours on the phone which rolled into days and still I didn't get the promises made to me by Benny.. I played hours of tutorials. They want to hold onto your money as long as they can.. Now I'm paying interest on $4k and I'm not able to concentrate on trading in the forex market.. Buyer Beware...the contract you sign is overwhelmingly demanding and its a constant battle with them.. When your not feeling well who wants to deal with a business like that UPDATE.. I just got the email confirmation I was hoping for about my 100% refund.. I just hate having to fight for something I felt I deserved.. One cust svc rep said credit may not post for 4-6 weeks.. What! I took a course from these guys 4 months ago. I have mixed opinions. The first course was excellent, enough I could get my feet wet. I made some trades, did not lose much, but have been unable to get my successes to raise my principle above my opening balance. The mentoring is difficult to deal with. I have a one-on-one mentor, who is moderately knowledgeable. He is little better than a pep talk. Then there is analyst-on-demand with much more capable mentoring. However, this is in the format of a live on-line classroom. The problem with it is you really can't ask everything you want. You can ask, and the analyst will TRY to get to your question. But there may be too many in the classroom, or your question may be off the subject of what is being discussed. What I do like about it, however, is this analyst on demand is available almost all the time from midnight Monday morning till noon on Friday. I find it best to login and do other stuff till the analyst arrives. There is a schedule, but it seems to bear little resemblance to the schedule kept. They come on when they feel like it, and take breaks when they feel like it. The schedule gives subjects to be discussed, but again, this is totally arbitrary. I have now taken 3 courses. The first was excellent. The second (very expensive) was for the birds and a total waste. The 3rd was good, but I seem to be having a hard time getting my questions worked out. I am less than satisfied with the one-on-one offer. I really really need some private attention to get some basic concepts fully understood and am having trouble getting it. I still have high hopes for the program tho. My BIGGEST complaint is the fact that I get a lot of promises on Friday that someone will get to me answers, access, and course materials before the day ends so i can study over the weekend. When they don't, it is after closing time so there is no one to call and I am then left with my weekend plans blown to hell. The other problem is my login information disappears from their system periodically. I had the scary experience tonight of entering a trade, then my charting software fails. I log back in, only to find it no longer knows who I am. It is middle of the night so there is nobody I can call. The trade I made did not seem to be doing as expected. Since I couldn't see the charts, the only thing I could do is to close the trade, loosing money. I still believe that currency pair will be in my direction come morning, but I couldn't afford to fly blind. read more
