She was a few minutes late (which means a lot when each minute costs $1!) and the phone number she gave me was disconnected. I was already feeling on edge when she finally arrived. She did not put me at ease in the session. In fact, she started to doze off several times. She also confused heart wrenching information that I was sharing with her. It was emotional painful and took me days to recover . I do not recommend her. As far as I can tell, she is not a licensed therapist and, in my case, did more harm than good.

Dr. Milliken's passion is helping others help themselves, and she is incredibly effective at what she does. My work involved assisting with her program for at-risk youth in the justice system. Again and again former program participants would stop by to check in with Dr. Milliken, not because they were mandated to, but simply because they were proud of their growth and wanted to share it with the woman who gave them the skills to help them get there. Getting clean is not an overnight job and having the support has made it possible. There is so much stigma about methadone treatment and there was a time I hated going in and hoped nobody scene me. Now I hold my head high and thank my lucky starts I wasn't found dead somewhere in Bangor. Whether it's porn, gambling, sex, shoplifting, social media, coffee, smoking, food, making/spending $, music, overworking, ect.
