I had raised this with the manager name Tom and he just ignored my concerns. I feel strongly that M&S is discriminated and judges people based on how they look. After leaving M&S had tried Thomas Cook and they told only passport or UK ID is required but no postal code is required. I had decided to go do Debanhams by the river and much better exchange rate and more friendlier service. All was provided was my passport. Therefore going forward I refuse to shop and associate with M&S as strong sense of discrimination against minorities and judging against how people look.

The carrot and walnut cake is my favourite. It costs justs over £2.50 for a small/medium cake which serves about 4 people but it is definatly worth every penny. Their biscuit collections are also very good and the cookies are definatly better quality than what you would get from your local supermarket. Marks and Spencers don't really have many sales but then again everyone knows the quality so will always pay the asking price all year round.

This Debenhams store is the anchor store for Centre Court Shopping Centre in Wimbledon. It isn't the biggest department but has the full variety of different departments. I had a successful shopping trip here today. The top floor had a lot of homeware and kitchen gadgets - fortunately, a lot of my friends are foodies and love to cook and entertain. The middle level is mainly ladies clothing but the ground floor yielded more success with menswear, fragrances & cosmetics and also a gift section with some fun things to give. You can enter the store two-ways through street level, one of them you enter through a box style store crowded with fashion and then a slow, small lift (or set of stairs) to get upstairs, again I can't understand why the lift is so low (there's only one) considering there is three levels the lift could go to - so if you are using the food hall I would suggest walking along the street and going in through there to save time. The selection of fresh selection in store was really bad, it was mainly pre-packaged which for a Marks & Spencer store was pretty dissapointing and uncommon for the brand, at many times it felt just like a Simply Food store. The "Services" offered by the store is also tiny, they lack a currency exchange, Cafe and more. The Food Hall area is also pretty cramped. It seems Islington has really badly fallen behind in terms of quality of stores with the only option being a Uniqlo store which is pretty good, yet still not spectacular compared to the rest of London. This store is pretty much the best of the three supermarkets in Islington centre from a food point of view and they did have a large sandwich selection (sadly gluten-free food excluded), to warrant a very generous two-star rating.

After a mini heart attack, I quickly explained my predicament to the staff who went over and above and beyond to help and assist me. For the food that required cooking, they took those back and said that I could choose anything from their selection there and to replace it. Having saved my life (and my job) I hastily chose (rather prudently this time) selected items that were ready to serve and were worthy enough for corporate clients. The staff were just amazing, in particular Anthony and Elinor who helped me with where I needed to go, what selection I could opt for and facilitated and administered the exchanges accordingly. The staff are helpful, but there never seems to be that many of them around, particularly in the cosmetics section.
