Mark's feed store is your typical BBQ restaurant. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. My boyfriend and I took our kiddos here for lunch. They gave this kids coloring sheets and a wooden piggy cutout with holes for the crayons. I thought it was super cute. Our food came out in a timely manner and it was all correct and good. Again, its not super over the top for BBQ its a pretty typical place but is good. I would recommend coming and trying it out. It is good for big or small groups. I feel like the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. There are several locations for this restaurant, I think this is one of the smaller ones. read more

Went to Mark's Feed Store with a group of 7 during the early evening hours. We were seated right away and after not waiting a long time our waiteress came and took our drink order. I got the Mark's Honeywings with the potato salad and green beans. This was easily a meal that could be splitted between two people as there were about 12 wings. Other memebers got the Chunky Chicken Salad Sandwich, Ribs, Pork Sandwich, and Chicken Fingers. Everyone enjoyed there food and would definitely go back. read more

Had dinner at this location this evening. It took a few minutes to get a table but once seated we had excellent food and service. The 4 of us all drank water and all are big water drinkers and not once did anyone have to ask for water. That is always a plus. We all ordered a variety of different dishes and all tasted most of what was on the table and all enjoyed every dish. We had the pork sandwich, a huge portion of pork with pickles and onions on a bun. The BBQ sauce is on the table to add to your liking. I opted for the RED sauce and it was a mild, sweet sauce. You have to ask for the hot sauce which my son in law did and he liked that. We had wings that were very good, a sweet flavoring. Onion straws, good and an order large enough to share with several folks. The spicy fries, sweet potato fries, potato salad, baked beans and cole slaw were all excellent. Four of us ate for $50 and food to take home. Good dinner and again the service was excellent. Plenty of parking around the building. read more

Start off by saying my waitress, Cindy, was fantastic. I was in town for business. I stopped in for lunch around 11:30Am. Looks like the lunch crowd started rolling in around 11:45(Wednesday). I ordered the Rib Combo Platter. It included Ribs (3bone) a few oz of brisket and pork and 3 wings. The wings and pork bbq were good. The brisket was ok at best. It was less than hot with not a whole lot of flavor. The ribs were not my favorite at all. They were tough and extremely chewy. There was very little to no smoke flavor and zero smoke ring. If I came back I would suggest getting a bbq sandwich or fried chicken sandwich (the breading on the wings was fantastic). Without the ribs and brisket I would give the establishment a 5 star. With those items 3.75/5 stars. read more

This was my first time at Mark's and it was pretty tasty. The original BBQ sauce had the right amount of spices and tanginess. I ordered the #1combo. This platter had plenty to offer. I got the spicy fries and green beans. My boyfriend ordered the #2 combo and baked sweet potato fully loaded and Mac and cheese as his sides. His sides were to die for. As many times as I've been here or use them for catering, it's about time I leave a review. I always have an enjoyable experience dining in, service is good whether I'm at a table or sitting at the bar. The BBQ here is good although I don't know that they're comparable to other ma and pa joints here. I like that they have salmon on the menu, it's a refreshing change. You can choose between the salmon sandwich or salmon salad. Their catering is also great on pricing and quality. I've used them probably 10 times the last few years to feed 50-300 people and they always do a great job of delivery and set up. I used them for my baby shower as well and they did great for a group of 25. read more

No matter what you order, you're going to receive a very generous portion size, and that is always a good thing. The onion straws are probably one of the best appetizers, but something you can definitely not eat alone....at least three people need to be there max! I think my order lasted an entire week for just myself...Their chicken tenders are fantastic, thick and juicy, but my favorite part was their special sauce. I have no idea what it is, but this dark yellow, mustardish-looking liquid was created by God Himself. It was alright. We came early in the afternoon on New Year's Eve a couple of hours before they had the buffet and we were sat immediately. I ordered the brisket dinner entree and my sides were delicious so I had no complaints about them whatsoever. However the texture and complexity of my brisket was very mushy and soft, most of it was fat so I had a hard time finishing it. But the original bbq sauce did do it some justice, very sweet yet tangy. The prices are affordable and the soft serve ice cream is an incredible deal also, at 99 cents. Went here with my family and I got the wild salmon burger with sweet potato fries and we got the fried pickles for an appetizer. The salmon was really good, it had a smoky flavor and it was very juicy. Sweet potato fries are always good lol they served theirs with a cinnamon sugar which I thought was a really nice touch. Makes them a bit sweeter but not too sweet. The service was good, our waitress was very attentive and friendly and our food came out really quickly. I got four big chunks of what I would describe as thigh meat. Kind of chewy and stringy. I had to remove it from the bun to eat it. We had the fried pickles together, to be shared. She had the fish, w/green beans. I tried their burgoo, which came with corn bread. Main meal was a larger than life pulled pork sandwich with mac n cheese. Both of us had waters with lemon. Waters where out to us within a minute or two. She provided us with extra lemons. Appetizer was out moments later it seemed while we where in conversation. Fried pickles where amazing as always. The burgoo was a surprise, as it was very good or at least better than I expected. Corn bread was excellent as well. Main meals where very good. Fish was very fresh and hot, green beans very good as well. The larger than life pull pork sandwich was much bigger than expected. I ended up using the extra bun from the fish to make two sandwiches and ending up taking one home. The let down comes with the mac n cheese. I've had some bad versions of this, but you could tell no love went into this. No salt or pepper to taste, the cheese was not cream but sharp. Simply put, it was melted cheese and noodles. Love everything I have tried at Marks from the brisket and pulled pork to the fried lemon pepper fish. The brisket is my favorite, it's sliced and they give you a good amount along with pickles, onions and assorted BBQ sauces. The fried lemon pepper fish is a new favorite of mine that I discover at marks. It's battered white fish with a crispy golden batter that has lemon pepper sprinkled on top. The tarter sauce is delicious and has a great flavor to compliment the fish. I enjoy the spicy fries and cole slaw with the fish dinner. It comes with 2 large pieces or you can get the fish sandwich dinner on a bun and it comes with one piece. The pieces are longer than my hand and very big. read more

I'm obsessed with Marks Feed Store on Dixie! I had just moved back to Kentucky from Nashville and heard all the hype about Marks BBQ, so I had to stop in. I didn't think it was going to be anything like the BBQ you find in Nashville, but boyyyyy was I wrong. The server who had our table was super sweet and friendly so we started talking and I mentioned it was my first time here. She got excited, said "be right back" and left the table. She brought the manager out to Welcome us, gave us a FREE full-sized bottle of their famous sauce AND a two FREE slices of pie (which is probably the best pie I've ever had). Marks goes above and beyond for the guest and that is HUGE for someone like me who has been in hospitality for 4 years! 10/10 highly recommend! read more
