    Italian Beef.
    Brenton W.

First time trying this restaurant. The moment I walked in I was greeted by the sweetest lady taking orders behind the counter. The restaurant itself was also very clean and orderly. Now to the best part...the food! I ordered a 6pc catfish nugget crispy with fries (not pictured because I ate it before I left the parking lot). The fish came out piping hot, well seasoned and crispy. The fries are house cut. The only critique I would have is to have my fries fried a little longer so they are crispy. Overall they were good though. Now to the very best part. Pictured here the Italian Beef. This thing was busting at the seams with very well seasoned beef, loaded with hot peppers (my request), and I also got mine dipped. I could not have been happier with this beef! I've been to Chicago for the real deal and this is the closest I've had in Louisville by far! So if you're looking for somewhere new in Louisville that has a huge menu, fresh food, and great customer service, look no further!

We were able to sit, visit, order and eat, have birhday cake (which we brought), open presents and not feel rushed or pressured tp leave the establishment. There are 4 resturants, a cheesecake vendor and a full bar insde the open air building all sharing the same dining space. My husband and I went back this afternoon for an early dinner . Over the two days we shared, nachos (loaded with bacon, chicken, cheese, and chives) a hamburger and fries, korean bbq and hibachi chicken. All were extremely tasty, with the exception of the Korean bbq, which was just OK. We went back for the hibachi chicken it was good good. You prder at onw of the 4 counters ,pay and are given a number to pur on your table. They then bring the food to your table. The chef from the hibachi vendor came to check on us adter we were eating to see of we were satisfied. That was kind. Both days they were out of egg rolls. Utensils are self-service and you bus your own table, but are still encouraged to tip when ordering. My veggie bowl was fine. One member of our party reported that her burger was bland even though it was swimming in cheese sauce and had extra jalapeños. Positives: the seven of us ate from 3 different vendors. Most people enjoyed their food. Street parking was easy and I saw a sign saying free parking in the back. Cocktails are available from one vendor, and they have a trivia night. The atmosphere was lively but not super loud. I think adding a few more vendors and doing some deep cleaning would bring this place up to a 4. I plan to return to try the sushi.

Like... they do not play about portions. And those egg rolls?? Absolutely to die for. Crispy, flavorful, and always fresh. The food is consistently hot, which I love, and I can never stay away from the lo mein. My go-to is the Peking chicken--it has the perfect balance of crispiness and sweetness every time. I've tried the honey chicken too, and when it's made right it's really good... but it can be hit or miss. Sometimes it's too hard or doesn't have enough sauce, so I usually stick with the Peking chicken to be safe. Overall, it's one of those spots that just hits every time--especially when you're shopping and need something quick, filling, and actually worth the money

My husband enjoyed his hotdog with yum yum sauce it was half sausage and half cheese, though he said it was mainly cheese not sausage. His was warm to eat and held together. Mine on the other hand was scorching hot, the wooden dowel slipped right out and it appears all the cheese did as well. I ended up with a super fried outside full of hot grease and remnants of the cheese that was supposed to be in there. My guess is the frier was just up way too high. They also overlooked our order so we finally had to go ask about it. Also note in the middle of summer the food court area is very hot due to the skylights but it was stagnant in the sitting/dining area. I tried the Korean boneless chicken "wings". I usually avoid Korean wings because they tend to be overly sweet, sticky and messy. These boneless wings were mildly sweet, not swimming in sauce and served nice and crisp. While the menu says they're spicy, I didn't find them hot. But, they were heavy on the garlic which lasted all day long. The same kind owners are still serving great food. And shocker! I don't think they've raised prices! If you're in the food court at St Matthew's Mall skip the chains and try this great "mom & pop" shop.
