We started with 1/2 pound of hot and spicy peel and eat shrimp and a dozen oysters. Great preparation and taste. It was apparently all so good and we had such a great time that we forgot to take photos of the food. We shared steamer bowls and a captain's platter. This allowed for a variety of crab legs, steamed oysters, sausages, corn, red potatoes, garlic Parmesan bread, shrimp, grouper, onion rings, clam strips, along with butter, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. We had arrived famished and we all left satiated and carrying out To Go boxes. Our server was fantastic, helping us relocate inside when the storm popped up, and very attentive through our entire visit. Looking forward to future visits and more great seafood.

Food: The Hot Chicken Sandwich meal $12.99 - Comes with two sides and served on a bun with pickles and coleslaw. I got the Hot heat level. The chicken was juicy inside, you get two large tenders on a bun. The chicken is nicely breaded and the louis sauce on top was great. Even though the flavors were were on point, the bun was disappointingly cold, just a plain hamburger bun straight from the bag. Potato salad - extremely creamy looking but pretty standard flavorwise. I liked how it was sort of a mix between mashed potatoes and potato salad but the flavor was average. Coleslaw - pretty standard with a part vinegar and mayo base, leaned more toward the vinegar. Not bad The Louie sauce - very unique, like a chipotle ranch thousand island style blend, was a nice sweet and peppery combo. I liked it a lot. Smoked Wings - $1.75 each - decent size, but lots of flavor. Dry rub only, but these were incredibly smoky and sweet, never seen them done that way. The flat i had was a little dry but the drumstick was nice and juicy, I guess its a gamble. Tennesee Wings- breaded, deep fried, then sauced. These were massice, maybe twice the size of the smoked wings. I got Hot heat level again and these were making me sweat. Super juicy inside with a nice crispy outer crust though. There is a small bar area and an area of table seating. Outdoor seating is available as well. The bistro is known for one of its appetizer small plates of deviled eggs. The owner said that the recipe for the eggs is one of the few things he is not wiling to share! Employees and patrons have drawn pictures of deviled eggs that are displayed on a wall space. I opted for the grilled chicken Greek salad. Greek salad is a favorite of mine and I have eaten it from numerous restaurants. By far, this was the best I have ever had. The artful presentation, fresh ingredients, and decadent flavors were a real treat. The chicken was so tender and again, the flavor bloomed in my mouth. The owner brought out a small serving of homemade peach ice cream that had been made the day before with fresh peaches. I simply have no words for how delicious it was. I will let my husband describe his experience in his yelp account, but I will say that after having salmon the night before at an 'upscale' restaurant in Louisville, he commented that the salmon at this bistro "blew it away!" It was grilled to perfection with a spice mixture of his own creation which he would not divulge! At the end of the meal we were severed a sample of his homemade peach ice cream. If you prescribe to the old adage that eating out is about the food not the upscale expensive vibe than this place is it! We will be back again soon!
