Need your garage door adjusted or repaired? Well, I found that many of the bigger name companies don't actually adjust, repair, service, or "tune up" your garage door. Ask them before your book them. Instead, they charge a fee for what is called a safety inspection or similar. What this really is, is a fee to tell you what they will charge hundreds of dollars for to replace. They don't do any kind of adjustments or fixes. They only replace parts. I'd guess the fee is so they make something since the prices they quote on replacing parts is so high they probably don't have a high acceptance rate. But even if you pass you are stuck paying the fee (whatever name is used such as inspection or safety fee). Imagine taking your car to a mechanic and them charging a fee to tell you what's wrong. Certainly if they service your car you'd expect to pay them for their work. But imagine the mechanic will only replace parts and not fix or adjust anything. Mark's Garage Door service is different. They actually service your door and equipment. They fix what you have (if at all possible) and there is no fee except for work actually done. If you do need something replaced they do it at a fraction of the cost of bigger name companies. But there is zero pressure like other companies. The technician that came to our house was very knowledgeable, professional, and honest. He advised what adjustments were needed and made them for a fraction of the price quoted by others that insisted we had to replace all kinds of parts. He showed me where in a year or two we might we might need a few parts replaced. But at that point his service made the door work perfectly. He quoted me on those parts at my request and they were so affordable I decided to do them now. The door and equipment worked like a charm. Zero pressure, honest feedback, good pricing, great service . This is a smaller family owned business I believe but would recommend them without hesitation. If you go elsewhere ask if you will be charged a fee if you opt not to do replacement or work. With Mark's Garage Door you only pay for service done. Nicole and the guys who came by (didn't get their names, unf) are all top-rate, professional, friendly, and all around awesome. I can't say enough. They know their craft and have fair, affordable pricing. We've had them install a new opener (motor) and when one of the nearly 20 year old springs broke last night, they had it fixed by 3pm the next day. The price on the new motor was half of what another dude quoted. And today's work was $313 for two springs ($150), labor ($140), incl. tax. They gave me a very reasonable price for a repair, and an even more reasonable price for a new door, including new tracks and springs. They had the door in stock, so they came back the next day and in a couple of hours we had a beautiful new garage door. Our garage door spring broke this morning, with my vehicle still inside. Mark's was able to send a crew out the same morning and replaced the broken spring, oiled the hinges, and adjusted the garage door opener. The crew was very informative about what needed to be done, parts costs, estimated time to complete the repair, and approximate job cost, all before beginning any work. Mark's Garage Service saved the day. I had the unfortunate incident of my garage door fall off the track (100% my fault). I called Marks Garage at about 230. The crew showed up at 430 for the fix and all was well in the world by 5pm. Connecting via text to show them the issue was a essential to my sanity, I will say. They were able to asses the issue and plan for how long it would take and fit me in at the end of a busy day. While here, the crew assessed the damage, made adjustments to the door so something like this would never happen again and let me know what I should keep an eye on for the future. So it's hard getting ahold of them. They don't honor their meet up times . Just showed up late or when they want . No call backs to follow up . They seemed like they where not personable at all . Pretty much avoided in person contact. Didn't know how to gauge them before they did the job. If they where a scam business... The work that they did do was okay . They got it done . Didn't even call me back when the job was done . No recommendations. Like hey maybe this would be better for you or add anything . Called me a few weeks later to collect and that's all. So , I would say that they could be a lot more personable . Actual customer service would be nice . I have little to none . read more

Mark came out and evaluated our door situation, (working OK but getting old and tired). It was an original 23 year old Raynor insulated door with tension springs. He recommended a torsion spring update and quoted me a fair price for parts and labor. We scheduled a visit. He was on time and had the work done in just under an hour...as predicted. He did basic service on the other two doors while he was here. I cut him a check, we shook hands and he was off to his next appointment. The entire changeover was very reasonable on all counts. He's a very personable guy with good backup from his home office. I'll have the other two redone by him this year. He was "discovered" while we were having dinner next to him and his family at Los Amigos one evening...had on a company tee shirt. He has a good looking family and seemed like a good guy. I had a new garage door opener installed, with new safety sensors, and had a great experience with Mark's Garage Door. The crew (two men) showed up on time (after the office called 20 minutes ahead of arrival as they said they would), and they were very knowledgeable and friendly (I selected a LiftMaster garage door opener model that is not one of the standard ones but they were able to get it within two days when another company said it's take them weeks, and they knew the model well and the other one that was already installed in the garage as well - both have internet connectivity and they were very helpful in letting me know how to set that up, and they also both could see things and tell me exactly what was happening and what looked good and didn't in the other garage door). Given COVID-19, they both wore a mask the whole time, yet that didn't get in the way of seeing that they were in a good mood and wanted to help and be of service, and they took as long as they said it'd take. The afternoon before Thanksgiving my garage door didn't open all the way and I backed into it, dislodging it from the runners. I was in a panic needing to go out of town with a door that wouldn't close. I tried calling a chain who couldn't come out for a week, or would have charged $250 for an emergency call.
