I took off work only to be called at 4:05pm saying they wouldn't be arriving until almost 5:00pm, so I took off work for nothing. The owners son did the work... he decided I didn't need two springs and replaced them with only one. He fought with it until 6:30pm when Dirk showed up and told him how to fix it. He finally finished around 7:20pm. 39 Days later, the spring broke around 10:00pm at night. I tried calling and left voicemail and sent email. No response. Called many times the next morning and the owner finally answered, he said he received the calls and email... and I'm like... duh? You can't reply or let someone know? I explained that both vehicles are trapped and we're asking him to repair the spring that snapped. His reply floored me... Now, this was on December 16, 2015, and he said that the next available date he could work on it was the first week in January. I again stated that we can't open the door, his spring is broken and we need our vehicles out to go make a living... several times I requested his help that day and his rude answer was "He has an opening the first week of January." I called Overhead Garage Door, and they had a guy at my house within 45 minutes. That tech stated that our door was too large for one spring. He installed two springs and they're working perfect. I requested a refund from Garage Pro, (aka DIRK), he ignored my requests for over a month until I threatened to sue in small claims court... and then he had attitude like I was the "bad guy" when he sent me a refund check. Read his page below, he says he guarantees his work. He also stated 24/7 service. And that's apparently just a bunch of BS. I'm not saying don't use this company, I'm just relating my experiences so you can make an informed decision. That's what YELP is all about.

BUYER BEWARE**Keep on shopping. Worst service you could ever imagine. Didn't even get the new garage I purchased through them installed. Do not do business with these guys. Wish I had looked on yelp before excepting their services. . Garage door fell off tracks onto my truck. Previous homeowners used A1 garage service (A1 sticker on door & wall) so I figured I would contract same service (really bad decision not sure what I was thinking, clearly wasn't thinking) Installer Nathan disassembled garage door from my vehicle without any help (solo). In doing so he put some gnarly scratches on the hood of truck. He could have asked for help. As tough as this was I let this slide... because how am I going to prove it? There was a fallen garage door on my truck.. Ordered a garage door and put $1500 down. The installer had to come out once again to make measurements (why wasn't this done last visit?!?) The installation date for garage door was set for August 10 . Day of install I get a call informing me that they ordered the wrong spring and would need to set me up for install in a Month. Reset-up appointment for a month later. Installer comes out, dismantled my garage door and then proceeds to tell me that he has the wrong garage door (after he reassembled, broken garage door) Called the scheduler to set up another appointment. They told me they didn't have anything for another two weeks. Cool whatever, I set up another appointment two weeks later. Installer was supposed to contact me by 1 PM. I didn't get a response so I contacted the appointment center at 3 PM and they told me that they would have the installer contact me. No call at 5pm so I called back and they told me he was still on another job. At 6 PM The installer contacted me and told me he was on his way. At 7:20 pm I get a call from the headquarters they claimed the installer would not be coming out because they had the wrong spring once again.. I told them I'm done and would like a refund. Few other things to mention the installer left bolt in my driveway that dug into the treads of my tires . No big deal it did not puncture my tires (e rated tires) He also left a small amount of trash in my driveway. Save yourself from time, frustration, hassle and money . Look elsewhere.. these guys are a huge scam. So much so I'm going to reach out to the bbb as well (who really has time for this) In the end I have scratches on my hood, bolt in the tire and took off 3 days of work for "installs" (I'm hourly not salary) and still don't have the door installed. Really bad unethical business. jokes on me I suppose read more

A1 responded very quickly to our need for service. The technician was super courteous and helpful, rapidly diagnosing the problem (the door opener/closer mechanism had failed in several places), and explained every step of the repair procedure. The new mechanism works perfectly, and is almost noiseless besides! We've had occasion to use A1's services twice now, and recommend them highly. read more
