There nothing wrong with this place or the people running it. I received tickets from them on numerous occasions and today simply got a box to ship a guitar to my brother, and they were great. I hope the others were a competitor just trying to compete. It's a sick way to do do business but I'll go back without hesitation. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Upon first entering the store, I wasn't greeted or even noticed. It seemed as though image and popularity took precidens over treating clientele appropriately. They buy used equipment. If, however you are choosing to sell your equipment because you need the funds that day, do NOT choose this establishment. I needed the funds for more important priorities. I brought in some very nice, lightly used equipment, most of which was purchased here. I asked a fair price for my items and was expecting to get knocked down some. What I wasn't expecting was to be offered 1/3 of its value. I realize that there needs to be a profit made in the re - selling of items. I don't however, feel that people should be taken advantage of to make a few extra bucks. Even with fair market price, in print, on a screen, being shown to the business owner, he denied the credibility of the very credible internet sites and the stated prices listed. He insisted on wanting to offer me an amount so low that it was an attempted jab and insult to one's intelligence. It was almost as if, because I didn't own a music store and wasn't credited with having local smalltown fame, I was an idiot. I do however hold a college degree in CNC Programming, Mechanical manufacturing and Engineering. The entire situation, atmosphere, and just general negative energy in the air was very awkward and unwelcome. The demeanor of the staff and the "music snob" vibe was overwhelming. I am ashamed to say that, regretfully, I did accept the ridiculously low offer. In truth, nobody forced me to accept this offer, I simply had to do so. It was my own decision to accept this. I am dismayed at the fact of the entire scenario. It would seem to be logical, that if someone is selling there musical equipment around the holidays, they most likely need the money for holiday related expenses. I would not see that as an opportune time to over - profit from someone else's need. I did this simply because I didn't have the necessary time it would take to list these items in the available advertising media and wait for a sale. It is Christmas time,so swallowing my pride and taking this offer was neccessary to help with gifts and bills. With that said, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for a friendly, fair, or inviting environment, when wanting to sell or purchase musical equipment and I personally, will never enter this establishment again, for any reason. The extra money that you spend on fuel to drive to another place of business will be well worth the preservation of your perceived sense, in which you think that fair trade should be conducted and also peace of mind. 2 thumbs down. read more

Good selection, decent prices, horrible, horrible service (rude, condescending, indifferent - except for Sid, who has served me previously, and has always been helpful). I went there, hoping to buy some lighting. I met Mark, who is apparently the owner. That guy is one *arrogant* mofo. He argued with me about what I was thinking on buying and how I was going to use it, and in general dismissed me. How does this place stay in business? And Mike (the guy he referred me to) didn't even respond to my questions. He was amazingly indifferent , and was almost (like his boss, who must have trained him) argumentative. I went there for advice on what lighting I should buy, and was was hoping to "buy local" - even if it cost a little more than www.americanmusical.com or www.pssl.com, and keep a local place in business. After this experience, I wouldn't miss 'em. read more
