I think what broke his back was when I asked him why they were selling for more than another store. He stated that the manufacture tell them what price they can sell it at. I have been buying Guns my whole life I know the manufacture tells the lowest they can sell it for, but when another small gun store has is 100.00 dollars lower than you and also a big chain store has it 100.00 dollars cheaper than you. Its not the manufacture its you. Please under stand I did pay for more than I should of but I was going to range the next day so I needed it. I think with all that said the worst part of it was when the sales associate if I wanted or not. I rebuttal that with asking if he gave military discounts and he said Yeah with a attitude. I Told him no and I just left. I then came back a few minutes later and got another sales associate and just bought it. He was giving me some pretty bad looks. So I am telling this because service skills are very important.

Don't know why a person would be in business if he hated dealing with the public. May i suggest that you don't waste any time going into this shop. The owners don't want your business and the shop is very dirty and unorganized. If this were the only gun shop in Hood County, I would drive to the metroplex before dealing with this ahole.

When we passed Arts & Letters Bookstore, we spotted a book we wanted to buy for our newest nephew. The book? "The Little Puppy (part of My Little Animal Friend)" by Nicola Killen. The clerk who helped us, Brandy, was very friendly and helpful. I asked about local authors, and learned there is a section just for them. In the same area, is books specific to Granbury. Very cool little find. I also bought some Granbury themed stickers for random gifts for random friends. I also joined the free shoppers club (if it has a real name, it slipped my mind), where after spending $100, you get $10 of your next purchase. I now know what people are getting for gifts next year... Books on Granbury, written by Granburians!

Great store and great group of guys working there. Good selection of firearms as well as fishing gear. I love that this business is locally owned. They have way more knowledge than you'll find at those big box stores. They did not try to oversell me and took the time to help me find the gun that was right for me. Nothing too major, I couldn't shoot the gun I needed to sight in because it was too large a caliber. nothing indicated as much online, but that was fine, I had other guns I needed to shoot, and I could take that one elsewhere. With the place almost entirely to myself, I head down to their 100yd range and get a couple practice shots in to get comfortable. Happy I decide to practice some at range quick firing. Nothing crazy, just trying to shoot accurately from range while being a tad fast. I shot off at most 10 rounds in 15-20 seconds, before I had one of the staff shouting at me to, stop being stupid, go into the shop, get my money and leave." confused, I asked for some minor clarification, as I hadn't broken any rules to my knowledge and there wasn't anyone else there for me to bother. He responded by telling me, "You know what you are doing," before hopping in his mule and driving away. the staff in the office weren't any better. telling me that I was "Mag dumping". which I could almost see, as I was firing a tad fast, and that was against their rules. however they couldn't give me a clear answer how what I was doing constituted a rule break and just kept giving me arbitrary lengths of time to trigger pulls while pointing to their tome of rules while trying to throw me out. All in all, there staff are obsessed with "Da Rulez" and refuse to even work with people to help have a good range environment. For example, if the staffer had just told me I was shooting a tad fast for what they normally allow and to tone it down a little.Instead, they decided to be hardheaded and treat me as less than human, now losing future income.
