I ordered a birthday cake for my mother from this bakery and it came out beautiful! I ordered a 10 inch round cake with buttercream frosting in the lemon cake and blueberry filling flavor. It easily served 15 people with left overs for the next day! It tasted amazing and everyone, including my mother, loved it! I tried to cut it in half and it literally just shattered into crumbs. The cookie dough cupcake is just a regular vanilla cupcake with a little bit of cookie dough on top? I thought there would have been cookie dough baked inside the cupcake. The cannoli one didn't even have cannoli cream on it it was just buttercream with chocolate chips. I'm writing this review as a warning to any future brides or anyone who doesn't want to pay a ridiculous amount of money to be scammed and disappointed. Please, if you don't want to be worried the entire time that you won't be getting AT ALL what you paid for, and actually want to be happy with your cake for your special day, I BEG you not to trust this place with your money. I have all the receipts and all of the WRITTEN down agreed decorations and I got the most sad excuse of a cake I have ever seen. I came to this place because I was originally having my wedding at The Royal Fiesta Event Center. I had a different cake lady before, but unfortunately she went out of business. So, in an effort to find a new cake, I went to a tasting at Marlee's. They asked me where my venue was, I told them, I didn't think anything else of it. I was very surprised to find that, even though I was going for a 2-tiered white cake with the up-charged flavor (Their cake is dry and flavorless. The only option that they have that is decent was the banana's foster, but of course there is an upcharge if you want your cake to be tasty), and having EDIBLE (says it on every invoice I have) poinsettias, flowers, and snowflakes, with an edible silver sparkle icing on the 2nd tier, with a silver ribbon; the cake was going to come out to $184. I didn't know they assumed I was getting a package with the Royal Fiesta for the cake and that they were only giving me this great price because of that. So when my venue went out of business and I called to change the location and get a 3rd tier, I was very shocked to find out they wanted to charge me $212 extra plus the $48 extra I had to spend on the 3rd tier! I wanted my money back, of course, because if I wanted to spend $458 on a mediocre cake, I would have gone to Publix. At least they would have decorated it like they said they were going to. This place KEEPS YOUR MONEY. They only offer a store credit for a certain amount of time. When my contract came to an end with The Royal Fiesta, like they assumed I had, then it should have came to an end with them too, but these people are THIEVES. Now, I can be reasonable, if somehow making sure they were aware I didn't have a deal going on with my venue for a discounted cake was my fault, then fine. I understand that the beautiful wedding cake I had in mind would be expensive. Fine. Whatever. So I paid for it. They had inspiration pictures, and they had the picture of the FAKE poinsettias I was using in all of my decorations because that was what they were going to make the EDIBLE ones from. This cake was so sad. Just pathetic. -It was not white it was YELLOW. When confronted by this they said "well I can't make buttercream white" you should have told me this the day I made the order! -They slapped a couple sugar snowflakes and white roses on it, but had the gall to put the same fake NONEDIBLE poinsettias with the NONEDIBLE glitter on them. -The center tier was supposed to be covered in a layer of edible sparkles, it was plain. -There was supposed to be a silver ribbon lining the bottom of the tiers, there was a slightly see-through white thing on there that looked like someone forgot to take it off. When confronted by all of this, they claimed it was a supply issue. Fine, that would be understandable except they don't contact you to tell you this, or offer to change, a refund, or anything to make it right. No. They just half-ass it and let you be disappointed and MORTIFIED in front of all of your guests on your special day. Plus, the cake was extra dry that day. I have the receipts, invoices, emails, and pictures from all of this. For some reason I can't post the pictures, but you would see how they really scammed the hell out of me. Please, if you would actually like to be able to depend on the person who makes one of the biggest centerpieces to your wedding to do what they say they will do, please find somewhere else. All they gave me was a sad little $50 store credit. At least $200 of the $458 I spent on this cake was for decorations I did not get. They make excuses. They don't give refunds, and they don't own up to their mistakes. Plus, why would I EVER want to return to a business who treats their customers so poorly? Why would I want to purchase mediocre, dry baked goods from a company that has so little pride in their work. I just don't want another bride to spend so much to be so disgustingly disappointed. Planning weddings is so so hard and stressful, I don't want this place adding to your frustrations and ruining your wedding pictures like they have mine for the rest of my life. Same to those who want a memorable cake for any memorable events in your life. You'll have to worry and wonder the entire time if they are actually going to come through like they said they will or if they will half-ass it and leave you with ruined memories and nothing but excuses. read more

Lots of mixed reviews for this place but we were needing to get our toddler a quick snack and I want coffee so we decided to give it a try. Good cupcakes but I've had much better. I really hate giving bad reviews for small businesses, but my parents missed their granddaughter's graduation bc they forgot to make the cake and cupcakes!!! They didn't tell my parents that they forgot to make the order, they kept postponing them saying it will be 45 minutes blah blah blah until eventually after an hour waiting, they were told that they had the wrong date! I was in the FAU auditorium so I couldn't pull up the receipt with my reception. They caused A LOT of unnecessary stress! One possible solution would have been to deliver the order when it was done - instead of having my parents sitting there like idiots and missing the graduation. We are local it wouldn't of been much of a commute. Or maybe another solution would've been giving a great discount or possibly even a certificate to use in the future. The the only recourse we got for spending $200 on these desserts and them messing up the order and my parents missing their granddaughter's graduation, causing stress and aggravation, was six free cupcakes? We were next door running an errand and decide to pop in for a couple of cupcakes to go. The shop itself is super cute, with everything from lunch options to milkshakes and cupcakes. We got a red velvet and chocolate cupcake to go and they were not very good. The flavor on the red velvet was good, but both were minimally frosted and EXTREMELY dry. We both took two bites and tossed them. With so many cupcake options out there we would never stop here again. You'd be better off stopping at Publix for something fresh and moist. read more

I read all of the reviews when selecting this place for delivery. Since I am at home recovering from ACL surgery, I figured that I would get a few things to nosh on throughout the day! I noticed that a few Yelpers mentioned delivery issues, so I pre-planned ahead, ordering around 10:30 a.m. That way, if food arrived around noon, then I would be in business...the lunch eating business that is... Even though I felt a little guilty (like patronizing a person who orders a greasy burger and fries with a diet soda), I decided to get the Butternut Squash Bisque and the Sweet Start salad with a cinnamon roll and a half a dozen cupcakes. The soup was delicious and had just enough chicken and quinoa to make the dish satisfyingly sweet and filling. The salad with strawberries, feta, avacado and walnuts with the Honey Lemon Vinaigrette was fresh and flavorful. Needless to say that I was pretty stuffed and happy, but I tempted my tummy early based on cupcake pictures and nibbled on a coconut cupcake to end a really nice lunch. Just knowing that I have had delicious food at Marlee's Bistro and Cupcakery, gives me the confidence to say that oh yeah, I will be ordering from this lovely establishment again (lol, as long as you agree to never tell my spouse about my over indulgence with your fantastic cupcakes! ;) read more

If I could give them zero I would. I see the reviews here are not good. Well this is one company that gets what they deserve. The worst cake I ever had. $170 worth of garbage. My daughters 21st birthday was embarrassing to say the least serving them what tasted like I opened a stick of butter and bit into it. Cake was dry. Here's the best part, they don't even acknowledge you called or care about your disappointment. But it's ok because you get in life what you give and I have every person i know sharing this on fb and IG. I've heard mixed reviews about this place. My boyfriend was getting his hair cut at the barber nearby and we decided to stop in before his appointment. To start off, we stood there for about 5-10 minutes without anyone to greet us. We ordered a smoothie, at 2:30 (they open at 10 AM) and they are out of bananas. Pretty much all their smoothies use bananas. We ask for macarons and the girl says she will ask, and returns to say they don't have any. Really this whole place was just a turn off. I will say that the establishment was very clean and did look inviting but the service and overall vibe fell flat. read more

My Birthday is usually me pre planning stuff and doing everything on my own(long line of friendship procrastinators)... This year I really didn't want to bake or cook I just wanted to relax. I really wanted to like this place. Fresh cupcakes, great selections, all made on premises! Well, even though the selection was creative and mouthwatering, the taste fell very short. The cupcakes were not fresh at all. Taste and texture did not meet "gourmet" cupcake expectations, and actually tasted like they had been sitting there for two days. Personnel were friendly and offered suggestions, but the overall experience was not good, especially since these are not cheap cupcakes. read more
