They have experienced/learned nothing regarding stem cell research due to the fact that Marquette is a religious school. COVID threw a wrench in their studies but there wasn't ANY preparation for jobs and the real world. Nothing helping them get internships whatsoever. My girls would have gone in as Jr's but Marquette doesn't accept any AP scores for credit for any classes regarding their majors, being in the "honors" program NONE of their AP scores counted for even CORE classes. Friends kids went to IIT and graduated in 4 yrs with their Masters degrees. Honors degrees mean NOTHING. I could have saved the $ by them going in as Jr's or they could have received Masters or double Majors at any other school. Forget trying to get into the dental program unless someone in the family is already a dentist or dr. Just about every student accepted into this program has a family member who is already or family has donated $$ to the school. On top of that Milwaukee is getting more and more dangerous. The Citgo gas station on State between 15th & 16th is prob one of the worst areas to be. Shootings weekly if not more often, most if the student apartments are in this area just 1/2 block south. My daughters were in a club and came out to find a crime scene roped off because someone had been shot right outside and had no clue this was going on. They had to walk two blocks through it to get to their Uber rides! Guidance counselors are a joke. Mentors are a joke. No support no guidance no help, just a minimal undergrad worth $21/hr that you can make at your local Walmart without having to spend $150k for the basically useless degree

District is slightly deaf to the HS and students although their offices are IN the HS... but they lock the doors to keep students out, nice job guys... They spend a lot of tax payer money to keep this thing squeaky clean with the renovation and the athletic facilities are on par and above what most schools budget. With two gyms, massive field property owned by the school, indoor pool, track, stands, stadium seating, full track field event structure, its a good school. The school has a strong academic staff with well trained personnel and devoted teachers that will be there long term, they are paid extremely well as far as the public school sector pricing goes compared to city of Milwaukee (MPS) masses that employ most of the teaching staff in the area. Your child will be challenged both academically and socially. Almost ever single teacher will interact with parents if they take the first step. There are issues brewing as Greenfield transitions the population and they see a more diverse student body. The place is layered with security and police, like most modern schools now require, and there is a fair handle on student related crime. They have also addressed the staff and have adequately fired several individuals for misconduct involving students, I would like to dock the school a star for this, but they have zero tolerance and I guarantee you every HS has an issue, but gag orders usually keep these things tied up in litigation. Ask around... I would like to note one major flaw that almost took this down to 3 stars, career and counseling program at Whitnall is weak, extremely weak. They do not interact and prepare students for college like I have seen at other schools. The recruitment numbers are based on entrance to college, not preparation. I have witnessed a fair share of failure of the lives of whitnall's graduating classes due to their ill prepared college life transition. Many of the students drop out and work in the area, it is sad. I went for advice pre-college and really got no substantial information. They need a pre-college system for acclimation and take the job more seriously. Love hate relationship with the alma mater. There is a hard headed management aspect to the school but overall you have way more pluses than minuses here, I'm just dishing on the bad because the good is obvious if you walk through the halls.

This place is an industrial factory of swim lessons for children, and I can only mean that in the…read moremost positive way. Goldfish is behind Culver's in Brookfield, and we went there based on a recommendation from a friend. They are incredibly good at what they do. The entire place is decorated vibrantly with bright colors and an ocean/beach theme. There are different types of levels that you can enroll your child in and for each level, they are assigned a lane during class. This means if you have multiple children swimming at different levels, they can go to the class at the same time. This is an amazing thing for busy parents. While your child is swimming, there is a comfy adult sitting area behind a glass partition where you can take pictures still without the danger of getting splashed. Afterwards, there are showers where all the kids rinse off and little dressing rooms for privacy. I love also that they provide a hair drying station as well. This place does everything you can to make swim lessons easy and painless for adults and children. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are thinking about enrolling multiple kids so they can get the attention they need for their level but still be scheduled together.

They send in extra instructors to work with the kids that are really behind and you'd think after three months of needing to master one more skill before moving up they'd work with her on that skill. Instead they just keep taking the monthly payment and waste her time on other things instead of just focusing on that one thing. In a 30 min class that means she only has two times to try that skill. It's really frustrating when you watch new students enter and get more attention as the instructor spends extra time with that child trying to figure out if they are in the right class. If you are looking for basic intro to water it's great. It's just not enough focused time to work and move up.

They had their men's and Children's choir honoring our flag and Armed Services with song and merriment. Guest speaker Colonel Joe Willis, USA (Ret) was spectacular. The dinner was Roast Loin Of Pork, mashed potatoes, and bacon wrapped vegetable medley. Their church staff made all of us veterans and our guests feel at home! Hopefully this is going to be an annual event to honor our service members, our flag, and our country! Kudos to you all!

Having only been here once as a freshman before turning 21, I couldnt really experience the full ambiance of a bar in the basement of a student union. With that said, the decor provides little ambiance at all. Its a low-ceilinged, white and light brown tones and is HUGE. enough seating for over 200 people, judging from my last time being there. The food itself is effing awesome, and for the price, you can't go wrong. Patty Melt anyone?! Deep fried cheese curds are also amazing, and if you sit on one side of the bar, you can peer right back into the kitchen (though you may not want to, lol). Clientele? Mostly sausage. Testosterone pumped male students who came to down some beers and watch the game, while eating good food. I can't really complain there, its normally I sight I'd welcome and don't get to see in class. Besides, what's better than sausage? Unfortunately, their female companions who stroll in are usually the ditzy broads who don't know the difference between their hair straightener pamphlet and the business law paper due next week. They also can't see much due to the abundance of eyeliner penciled over their fake orange skin. Yeah, I'd take the sausage too.
