Cargil (one of the arborists) came out to look at our Cedar Elm that had split, and he gave us lots of great information as to what probably caused the split and what he recommended. Ultimately, it made the most sense to have it removed, and he gave us a very reasonable price, while explaining exactly what we would be charged for and how the price was determined. I appreciated his expertise and transparency. Since there was a risk of the tree falling and damaging our house, he put a rush on the job and the crew came out the following business day. I watched from the kitchen window as they took it down, and it was impressive! They were so fast, but so precise and careful at the same time. And when they were done, they cleaned everything up and asked if we wanted the mulch that was created from the tree being ground up. The following day, Emily followed up to make sure we were happy with the work, and we certainly were. From start to finish, it was a great customer experience, and they all did a fantastic job. I chose this company to…read moreinspect the trees because they have such a high rating on Yelp, and because they were the only ones who specifically said on their web page that they inspect trees in connection with house sales. When I called and said I needed an inspection quickly, they were extremely understanding and cooperative; I was able to make an appointment for the very next day. During the inspection itself, Scott awed me with his knowledge and his ability to relay it to a layperson like me. He was knowledgeable not only about trees, but also about tree laws and regulations. He's funny and folksy, but underneath that, he's also smart and incisive -- like the stereotypical "simple country lawyer," except he's a "simple country certified arborist." He identified all the trees, and he gave me crucial advice about how to protect and maintain them. Most important, he identified risks and issues that the trees presented. His fee was extremely reasonable -- indeed, cheap in comparison to the value of his services. I can't say this too strongly: I would not have wanted to make my house-buying decision without the information that Scott provided!!!
