They managed to waste months of my time and ultimately left me without care due to their own internal blunders. First, their off-site call center gave me completely incorrect instructions to attend an "Intake" appointment with a different doctor just to establish care. I took time out of my day and physically showed up, only for the front desk staff to tell me "we don't do that" and cancel my appointment on the spot. To fix their mistake, they scheduled me with the doctor I actually wanted to see (Dr. Schoenrock). However, they forced me to wait months for this opening. Now, right before my appointment, they have canceled on me yet again. They refuse to take me on as a new patient because Dr. Schoenrock is leaving the practice. While I understand that doctors move, this clinic allowed me to wait for months following a massive administrative error on their part, only to drop me completely at the last second. They offered a random replacement doctor, but I refused because I waited specifically for the provider I chose. Turning away a patient after forcing a multi-month wait due to your own staff's initial mistake is unacceptable. Avoid this clinic if you want reliable scheduling and care.

I choose this one because I liked the credentials and biographies of all the doctors - didn't read any bad reviews in yelp... and I liked the faces of the doctors in the biographies! You know, show me a police line-up and I think I can detect the ones who have all the lights on and someone is at home when I look into the eyes. So, based upon reviews, biographies, internet stuff and a book from Amazon I choose Napa Valley Urology Associates. I choose Dr Khaira but would have been happy with anyone in that group. I needed a specialist to act upon a high PSA score. Dr Khaira was able to verify a biopsy was needed and performed the procedure to get the needed results. This excellent review is given because of his skillful performance to get the 12 samples and do it quickly with minimal pain. He had an assistant so that the procedure was quickly done. I have read of this exercise being done with as few as six samples - and the use of a topical painkiller rather than injections and no assistant. The pain from the topical painkiller can be "excruciating" so that six samples is all that can be taken at one time. ( I always like to inject a little humor into my reviews as a little treat to anyone who takes the bother to read it... so use your own imagination here to have a good laugh and then read on. ) Dr Khaira gave adequate pain injections and the procedure went smoothly. Napa Valley Urology Associates is a busy place! When I went in for a 10:30 appointment it was like a busy bus station... though there were plenty of seats. A small army of women run the front desk and from the banter of conversations I heard they are a happy crew that work well together: signs of a well managed group. I also saw a couple of local men who were surprised to see each other there - but found the opportunity to schedule a dinner to try out some new wine. A busy place and a happy place.

I broke down shaking and vomiting with the worst migraine i've had this year. It caused me so much stress that i was in bed the whole day. I called and cancelled any appointments and injections he had sceduled with me and let it go. I'd rather have no help, then have to deal with the stress and anxiety this doctor causes. The manager called back later ,sounding very disappointed, to say they were calling in my medication after no one had called it in days since my appointment.
