However, I did not move forward with treatment. It took 3 visits to get any information on costs and/or treatment options. While I understand the need to tailor care to the individual, and the difference between corrective care and relief care, it didn't feel very honest or transparent to not put this essential consideration up front. At my 3rd visit, where they repeatedly insisted my husband should attend with me (what is this...the 1950s?) I was presented with an $8,000 treatment plan, which I found quite shocking. I told the Dr that I simply don't have the time, energy, funds or, frankly, the commitment to come in 3x per week, but he did not offer any alternative to this rather intensive treatment plan. (I am not in severe pain, just looking to integrate spinal health and posture correction to my lifestyle.) Lastly, I did not receive an adjustment or manipulation at any visit. To be given a 3x week, 7 month, $8,000 plan, without ever having been treated, adjusted, cracked, or hardly touched is another issue entirely. Thats quite a contract for never even gotten a "sample" of the work! So alas, I still need an adjustment after what feels like quite a saga. After all that, I at least expected a crack! To save your self 3 visits and $120 for the initial exam, here are the prices they gave me: Initial Exam/Consultation: $120 Office Visit: $82 Re-Exams (during treatment): $100 Home care/exercise training: $55 X-rays: $60 I have confidence that going through with this treatment would have been effective and a life-long investment in my spinal health. Dr. Bartlett seems very experienced and I am sure if you are in very severe pain and desperate for relief and in great need of spinal correction, he is probably a good chiropractor. If you're like me, not completely desperate or don't have $8,000 dollars laying around, I would suggest another office.

I was desperate because of nerve pain I was suffering after my left upper lung was removed. I honestly can't say enough great things about him. He listens and ask questions. No rushing ever. I always feel heard and my questions answered. He is one of the kindest most compassionate doctors I have ever been to. He is very knowledgeable and discussed a few other problems that he didn't have to but took the time anyway. If you are looking for a neurologist who is professional is a wealth of information, compassionate and so very kind Dr. Goodwin is your doctor. I feel very fortunate to have him as my doctor. The office staff is Lisa. We are all so lucky to have her. She has a lot on her plate so to speak and always handles things professionally and is very kind. After his initial consultation and evaluation, he then goes over solutions. Recently, I had belonged to a Medical Group where the doctor would immediately come in and go to the computer, spending less that 2 1/2 minutes of personal time with me as the patient. This became a regular routine, where after all the computer input had been done, then the exam would take place, usually in a rapid manner. The opposite is true of Dr. Furness. I would say his strength is he obviously does his homework before even coming through the door. He knows why you are there and is already prepared to offer options depending on the ailment. He is easily accessible through his office and/or online and is prompt to respond. The most important aspect and quality of Dr. Furness is that he treats his patient as an intelligent adult and listens to options or ideas that the patient has to offer. He is not a doctor who lives off his ego, rather he lives to fulfill his chosen path of healing.

I do not recommend this Dr. You cannot be your own advocate. Not only does he talk rudely to you (very arrogant),but he will discuss ALL of your private information in front of other clients (it's how his office is set up). Why even speak in a medical room if THAT is going to happen. If you question why all the blood work (nearly every three months), he will not explain and just have his staff (his wife) call you do inform you that this Dr. has cut you from the practice. Blood work every three months to tell me I need to take vitamins which, by the way, he sells. And will sell you expired vitamins but tell you they are okay to take. Also, if you have any physical concerns he will not look at it directly. Has ZERO interest. He will simply suggest a local whatever Dr. No referral. You are given a business card to call said other Dr. (This was a simple foot issue which did not require said other Dr. - specialist - but ended up having to WAIT over a month to get into other Dr. - specialist who told me I could have had Dr. Lozanov deal with it).

He only wanted to give me cortisone injections, which cost $500.00 an injection. Dr. Keller stated, "I am a neurosurgeon, I'm smarter than Dr. X, and I should know you're in real pain and need medication to control your pain." He ordered strong pain medications, and yes, for the first time I was completely out of pain. I was very concerned about the combination of prescriptions and discussed them with my doctors as well as my pharmacist asking them, "Are these combinations of medications were safe to take?" They all confirmed they were safe. I was judicial about taking them and only if I was in horrific pain. Long story short, Thomas Keller is in jail waiting to be sentenced for the death of 3 patients and over-prescribing opioids.
