The food variety isn't different, I don't think from other Hilton hotels, but the separation and presentation at Tru was brilliant. We have two pets and were able to bring both for the same fee. Nice. Dog bags and receptacles were available. Also convenient. One last appreciation - their black out curtains are amazing. Every hotel should use these versus the curtain type that always leave odd gaps. Thank you for this thoughtful upgrade. We didn't make it to the fitness center or pool, but I imagine these spaces would have been just as nice as all the others. My only request would be colder rooms. On June 17, 2026, I received notification that my reservation would not be honored due to the Hotter'N Hell Hundred event. While your notice stated that this was intended to provide sufficient lead time to secure alternate accommodations, this notification comes more than six months after my initial booking and only two months before the event. Because this is a major local event, the remaining hotel options in Wichita Falls are currently priced at double or triple my original rate. I am disappointed that my long-standing reservation was cancelled on such short notice, leaving me with significantly more expensive alternatives. Furthermore, my attempts to resolve this via telephone were unsuccessful. After being redirected by national headquarters to the local property, and subsequently through multiple phone numbers, I was left using an automated system that failed to recognize my reservation number despite repeated entries. After about an hour on the phone I gave up and decided the best course would be to write a review. It is highly concerning that a long-standing reservation was cancelled only to be resold at a higher premium. This experience has been entirely unsatisfactory, and unscrupulous ethics for a business. As a result, I will no longer be patronizing La Quinta Inn properties. The bad, this place has extensive water damage, the elevator is out and our room was on the third floor, our room smelled horrible, when I walked in I waited 5 mins for an employee then went to the bathroom came back waited five more minutes and then the employee showed up after that. On top of that they charge me a 20 dollar incidental fee, are you serious, what a scam, they should have gave me a 20 dollar credit for the elevator being out.
