TV did not work. Shower curtain needs replaced. No coffee. Only one coffee cup in a 2 person room.

I stayed here for a conference. I read the reviews and was not impressed but since the conference was at the hotel, I decided to book a room here. My room was okay. The carpet okay and so was the bed and bedding. The bathroom (shower and toliet area) needs updating and there was water damage or something on the walls. My company served us breakfast and lunch. A few of my co-workers ate breakfast at the breakfast and had a horrible experience. The conference spaces/rooms are good but the wifi is horrible. There is a bar in the lobby which is very popular and seemed to be a local hangout spot.

We've come here for an overnight and couldn't have been happier with our stay. We have two grandkids with us and all four of us have been treated with nothing but over-the-top respect and courtesy. The pool is extremely comfortable, the hot tub is the perfect temperature, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the hotel, on the whole, is very clean, and like I said the employees are just short of perfect. The continental buffet was very nice, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, pancakes, items for bagels and lox, and the rest of the usual suspects. The outdoor pool area looks nice and clean and inviting though it's is not open at this time of late winter. PS- the (I believe) manager was walking around asking guests how everything was, during breakfast, asked us if our grandkids were finished their breakfast and if they'd eaten enough to get a snack. He took them to the pantry area and let them each pick a few things. We thought that was the nicest gesture and example of the type of service everyone should strive to achieve. Very happy with this stay, and will definitely come again.

Peeling wallpaper.

Just checked in. Wallpaper peeling from the wall, sink must be clogged because it fills with water as you wash your hands and drains slow, and toilet won't flush unless you take the back off and jiggle the internal tank filling mechanism. ???? I hate to see what tomorrow brings when I try to take a shower and try get ready. I am with my elderly parents and not able to easily change rooms or deal with maintenance. ETA - Empty soap container in shower.

Nice place for a conference. The room was fine, nothing special, but the staff that hosted the event for us were exceptional!

Ask the Community - Marriott St. Louis West

What type of coffee maker do they have in the rooms?

Im not sure, I never use the coffee makers. I always get coffee from the lobby area in the mornings.

I stayed at a total of 10 places while back home during the entire month of June, some of which were airbnbs but mostly hotels, this Holiday Inn was by far the BEST hotel I stayed at while in town! This is a newer hotel, and is in a great location right off of 270 in Creve Coeur. It's close to many restaurants and is centrally location within the city/West County area. The hotel is very clean and is quite large. It also has a restaurant/bar inside the lobby. The front desk staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Everyone that I interacted with here were great and helpful! In terms of St. Louis hotels, you tend to get what you pay for, so if you see that the price of this hotel is higher than most of the other nearby hotels, there's a reason for that, and this place is worth every penny.

When I arrived to check in, I was told they did not have any of that type of rook available. When I asked what they could do, I was hoping they would realize their mistake and perhaps give us a second room to accommodate our party. They did not. I was offered free breakfast which is not commensurate with what we needed. After speaking to the evening staff I was assured the manager would call me the next morning. I did not receive a call, and called and left a message with no call back. We had to make alternative arrangements last minute with some of our party, but this was way out of line. I would have exptected at least to be refunded the difference in the room rate as well, but no such luck. No apology, no rectification, and no follow up. Stay here if you want to have to scramble last minute and be charged for a room you never get. I guess this is why credit cards have dispute options.

From all of the front desk staff to the housekeeping team to the folks working the dining room at breakfast, everyone at this hotel was friendly and gave excellent service! This hotel is a bit dated, but it's very clean. My only complaint was that the comforter is very thin and seems like a thicker sheet rather than a comforter. I asked the Steven at the front desk if it was missing from my room and he advised that it's not, but ordered to give me extra bedding. I liked that the hotel is connected to Stony River, which was really convenient, and great for a late meal or cocktail. The hotel also has a nice free breakfast buffet in the morning with hot and cold food items. Parking is also free, which is helpful. I would stay here again.

I did not expect so many kids to be running around also the pool is adjacent to the lobby elevators the kids were tracking water all over the marble floors making it slippery and dangerous. the hotel has happy hour with 3 free drinks and everyone goes to that. also they have free breakfast in the morning. I know that I stayed over a holiday and that might have been so many families. but the kids were running all over the hallways too. it was quite an experience that I didnt really enjoy. I dont think I would come back again, the rooms are dated and old. I have stayed at other hotels in Chesterfield that I liked much better.
