Had a fantastic stay at this huge resort. Check in was quick and efficient. The villa was spacious and beautifully appointed. I really love the elegance and the calm of the decor. The master bedroom was massive with an amazing walk in shower that could fit multiple people. The beds slept very comfortably. I loved the guest room set up with both a queen and a twin bed inside the room. There was a nice, large dining and living area. Full sized appliances and washer and dryer that were in mint condition. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for preparing food. Nice, large patio area for outside seating. The grounds were immaculate as well. Tons of activities for families to do and multiple pools and courts for basketball, tennis, etc. I highly recommend and would return. read more

While I have high hopes for all Marriott properties, I was pretty blown away by Sabal Palms. Our party of three rented a three bedroom villa for the night and it was such a great place. Huge living area, full fridge and washer/dryer, and the master shower was like a human car wash. It was nice that the other room had plenty of room and a connected bathroom. On top of that, the patio was very nice and overlooked the golf course. I loved using my phone as a TV remote too! Overall, I'd totally come back here and stay again. Horrible start to my stay. I'm a titanium bonvoy member so I stay at my share of hotels. Came here for a conference and the lobby told me someone would be right there to drive me over. 25 minutes later and I'm still waiting. And now, I couldn't even get a late checkout so that I could change clothes after my conference ends at 12:30. If this is how they treat their titanium customers, I'd hate to see how they treat others. read more

I reallyyyyy loved my Villa. It was everything! Super affordable and upgraded. Everything in the Villa felt and looked brand new. The Villa was extremely clean and I loved that for me! I live for a clean ass house! Yesss. The parking was cool, you don't get to park like right in front of the Villa but there's parking close by. I also loved that the villas came with a washer and dryer. Those really came in handy. The only thing I didn't like about the Villa was how confusing it was to get to, its literally allll the way in the back. Other then that everything was perfect. Sabal Palms is a lovely spot behind the main Marriott World Center location. The main hotel was booked, opted to stay here for a conference so I could be close and it was a good deal to split with my coworker instead of 2 separate rooms. Full kitchen, living, dining with 2 separate bathrooms and bedrooms. Completely stocked with everything you could possibly need and more...even a high end washer and dryer in the unit. For business or family vacation is is a perfect option. The staff was super friendly, the grounds were clean, quiet, and safe. I would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to be back for a vacation at some point. read more

Had a great stay at Sabal Palms. We specified location preferences before arriving and they hit the nail on the head. Villas are spacious and just right for a family of four. We found everything clean and in good repair. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because there's a lot of construction going on throughout the property and grounds appear a little neglected. Marriott's Sabal Palms is part of the Marriott Vacation Club, which is like time share companies, but part of Marriott. We stayed for our trip to Disney and loved the large villa. It had two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully functional kitchen, washer and dryer, dishwasher, living room, and a family / entertainment room. The master bedroom was enormous with a large shower and a long two sink vanity. The property was modern, clean, and quiet. Now that we travel with a toddler, a large suite like this Villa is perfect for our family. The cost for five nights was about $1500. Consider that it is five minutes from Disney where the onsite villas are $1,900 per night. That's a real value! We could not have been more pleased. read more

We stayed at Sabal Palms for five nights in November 2012. We were visiting Walt Disney World, so this location was perfect for us. It's about 10 minutes out of the park, and you won't find a bunch of screaming kids all over the place. It's located on a giant Marriott property that offers golfing, dining, arts and crafts, and swimming. Our room was wonderful - two rooms, and the master bedroom is incredible! Each room has its own private bathroom, too - so you don't have to share one with the whole family. There's also a full kitchen, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, plus all the plates/glasses/coffee cups/silverware you could need. You'll also find a very good selection of cook ware and utensils. There is a coffee maker, but unfortunately they charge for coffee packs after the first day - so bring a pound of your own freshly ground coffee to save a few bucks. The rooms include a large living / dining area and a huge screened-in balcony. Ours overlooked a small pond and the golf course - it was so relaxing and comfortable to sit out there in the morning with a cup of coffee. So, why not five stars? Well, housekeeping needs some work. Even though we left a generous tip every day, they did not replenish towels as necessary, and left very dirty towels in the kitchen. Shampoos and lotions were not replaced after a few days, either - really, Marriott... stop pinching the pennies in these areas. The rooms do come with a full size washer and dryer, so if doing the hotel's laundry over your vacation is up your ally, you will be all set! read more

Epic failure! I was checked out of my room that had a view of the pool and the Disney fireworks prior to my departure date because "I did not have luggage in my room." We missed the Disney fireworks, the laser show at the pool and spend an hour and a half trying to figure out what the heck was going on (I had been in the room a few hours prior and did not know why my key wasn't working). I am a Marriott gold member with over 400 nights at Marriott properties; I have travelled a lot of business over the years and nothing like this has ever happened to me. This was a family vacation and I was treated like crap. Disney vacations are too expensive for this type of nonsense. Please consider a different hotel. read more

This place is beautiful. Two bedrooms - One suite with private bathroom and rain shower system. It was amazing. The second bedroom is a two bed with access to a second bathroom. The kitchen was great. It had all the appliances needed for the stay to cook with. The supplies needed to stay for a week was great but they gave only one set. So you had to run out to buy, once it ran out. The only thing stopping me from giving this place a 5 star is the fridge. The first day we got there the fridge was not cold and the second day and days after everything was frozen in the fridge even after the temperature was adjusted. This place also included a washer and dryer. All of the pools were also nice and they had activities for the kids. Some were free and some costed 5 bucks. Overall, I would recommend this place. I have some mixed feelings about this hotel, but overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel under certain circumstances. First, a brief description of the property. Each suite has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen complete with silverware, dishes and a dishwasher, and even an in-unit laundry machine with dryer. There is a spacious living room and dining area, and the master bathroom has two sinks, a separate lavatory and a wide rain shower area with side nozzles as well which was very nice and romantic for, uh, shower things. ;) The second bedroom has two beds in it that are clearly meant for children. The property is linked with two other properties that have several restaurants, a beach volleyball court, several big pools and Jacuzzis and a decent fitness center. There are numerous activities for kids going on all day as well. It's only about 3 miles from the Disney parks so the drive is an easy 10 minutes. From a practical standpoint, this place is overkill if you are just going as a couple or by yourself. It was cool to have all that space and I even cooked one meal in the room, but unless you are coming here with a family, or a bigger group, it's overkill. From a value standpoint, staying at this property is not a bad idea. We paid about $330 per night here which is far cheaper than getting a room at one of the Disney resorts and you get far more space and peace and quiet. Yes, there is a lot to be said at actually staying at one of the onsite hotels, but if you want to stretch your money a bit and you have a family, this is the place to stay. Each building here has two floors and no elevators. So if you have a lot of heavy luggage, have some health issues or are just plain butt-lazy, then request a room on the first floor well in advance or deal with walking up one flight of stairs. There are no shuttles to the Disney parks, so you'll have to arrange your own ride. This place just recently underwent some renovations so there are a few kinks that were being worked out. For example, my main TV was missing some sort of adapter that allows me to watch actual TV. For a while, I could only watch the Marriott Vacation upselling channel that they have going on endlessly. The second bedroom was missing the TV remote, which I didn't really care because we didn't use it, but it's the principle. In any case, this is a very nice place that provides good bang for your buck and is located very conveniently close to the Disney Parks and Disney Springs. read more

This bldg has all the comforts of home: 2 BR w 2 Bath units plus free parking, a screened in super porch & 7 HBO channels, a couple Starz channels, & many sporting channels per DirecTV. It's not a new bulding but apparently was recently renovated. There are only 2 stories so it doesn't seem crowded & feels amply spacious. Love the space and rooms! Each room was decorated differently which made it feel more like a home because everything didn't look "the same." I felt like I was living in a three bedroom condo with a full washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, a whirlpool spa and a bidet! The interior designing was colorful and bright. They stuck with solid colors and a few patterned pillows and sheets. The queen bed I slept in wasn't too soft or to hard. In the closet there is wo extra pillows, another set of sheets and a comforter just in case someone was going to pass out on the couch in your room. A very nice "villa-style" hotel with 2 bedrooms, living room, and full kitchen. I'm just staying here for a few days at a conference but it has the comforts for a longer stay including laundry facilities right in the room. It is a bit far from the conference center but I knew that upfront and enjoy walking the grounds. It is very clean and the desk staff accommodated my late arrival and even drove me to my room. Since I'm traveling on business I'm not too price sensitive but it seemed like a good deal. read more

I remember coming here is a little kid when we came down to Orlando on vacation. I haven't noticed the place changed since the early 90s. it has been kept up fairly well, and now that I have kids of my own it's a pretty decent stay. It is close to Disney and all the other surrounding parks. If your member of the Marriott you will enjoy coming to a place like this. The rooms are fairly large. The one that we are in features two bedrooms two bathrooms and a full kitchen and the living room. One of the neat things to see is gone on your back patio and be able to witness the fireworks from Epcot. I would recommend bringing food to stock up on for dinner or lunch during the day. read more

Stayed here for a girl's weekend over Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend - 2 bedroom villa. Extremely clean and all appliances/cabinets/furniture recently upgraded. Awesome master shower and huge master bedroom/bath. Has a sunken in living room that will always make it feel a little dated. Downsides: (1). Have to drive through the bowels of the Marriott complex to get to the entrance. Very odd entrance. (2). Helicopters. I know the Marriott can't control this, but there are constant Disney helicopter tours that are always hovering around and noisy. Annoying and certainly not conducive to an afternoon nap. (3). While the master bedroom and bath were huge, there is a glass block area in the shower that lets in the light from the parking lot. Room is never really dark at night which is important to me for sleeping. read more

Our first time at the Sabal Palms though we have stayed at Royal Palms and Imperial Palms previously, and several times at the main hotel as well. I like the feel of a secluded location though actually just a few steps from the hustle and bustle of the World Center Marriott. This property is quiet when you want it, or you can go over to the resort for more activity. The units appear to be freshly updated, and very comfortable, love the walk in shower in the master bath. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to prepare basic breakfasts and lunches. We will definitely try this again unless we have a large enough party to need 3BR and then the Imperial Palms or Grande Vista are a better option. read more

This is a great hotel for business and families. You really don't have to leave if you want to just relax by the pool and eat dinners/breakfast there. Extremely quiet hotel. We almost thought it was vacant. We were on second floor. There is no elevator. Everything needs to be hand carried up. Nice pool. 3 minute walk to the Marriott one world center. You can use their pools and slides as well. Very few resort activities, and most are at the Royal Palms (free shuttle). Master bedroom is nice. 2nd bedroom is tight, twin bed and a double bed. Hard to get into the closet. Washing machine is fantastic. Slow service, we waited anywhere from 30 minutes to 2+ hours for stuff when we called the front desk. Lots of mosquitos. They liked to hang out by front door. read more

I'm from DC and this was as nice as any upscale condo in DC. 2 huge bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, living room, patio veranda. The Marriott property, which includes 3 resorts, is drop-dead gorgeous, has a golf course, free parking, running trail, pools, etc. Staff extremely helpful. Close to everything in Orlando. Super quiet.I felt like I was in paradise for the week I stayed there. read more

I am an annual visitor to Sabal Palms and I couldn't speak more highly of the serene quiet setting, the supportive staff, and top notch villas. I am extremely satisfied with the pools, the walking paths, the spa, the childcare center. You name it, they have the service for it which is primarily because it is adjacent to Marriott's World Center. I look forward to visiting this tranquil place year after year. Part of the charm is that the large villas are so well maintained that they feel new, and they haven't torn them down to replace with a new style. They don't need any new styling as they are beautiful. We enjoy the screened in porch and the large dining room table, using both daily. This place is top notch comfort and parking is easy; right in front of your villa! Our family getaways are all the better because of Sabal Palms. My only recommendation would be for the Marriott staff delay their WELCOME call until after 10am or so since traveling and going from Pacific Time to Eastern Time (3hours) is like getting that WELCOME call at 5am on your first day of vacation. Marriott: We know you love your guests just wait until after 10am to call the room. read more
