Pool area...totally chill and amazing. What a great place to stay!
    Kristy S.

Sabal Palms is a lovely spot behind the main Marriott World Center location. The main hotel was booked, opted to stay here for a conference so I could be close and it was a good deal to split with my coworker instead of 2 separate rooms. Full kitchen, living, dining with 2 separate bathrooms and bedrooms. Completely stocked with everything you could possibly need and more...even a high end washer and dryer in the unit. For business or family vacation is is a perfect option. The staff was super friendly, the grounds were clean, quiet, and safe. I would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to be back for a vacation at some point.

Epic failure! I was checked out of my room that had a view of the pool and the Disney fireworks prior to my departure date because "I did not have luggage in my room." We missed the Disney fireworks, the laser show at the pool and spend an hour and a half trying to figure out what the heck was going on (I had been in the room a few hours prior and did not know why my key wasn't working). I am a Marriott gold member with over 400 nights at Marriott properties; I have travelled a lot of business over the years and nothing like this has ever happened to me. This was a family vacation and I was treated like crap. Disney vacations are too expensive for this type of nonsense. Please consider a different hotel.

This place is beautiful. Two bedrooms - One suite with private bathroom and rain shower system. It was amazing. The second bedroom is a two bed with access to a second bathroom. The kitchen was great. It had all the appliances needed for the stay to cook with. The supplies needed to stay for a week was great but they gave only one set. So you had to run out to buy, once it ran out. The only thing stopping me from giving this place a 5 star is the fridge. The first day we got there the fridge was not cold and the second day and days after everything was frozen in the fridge even after the temperature was adjusted. This place also included a washer and dryer. All of the pools were also nice and they had activities for the kids. Some were free and some costed 5 bucks. Overall, I would recommend this place. Its in the middle of everything.

I have some mixed feelings about this hotel, but overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel under certain circumstances. First, a brief description of the property. Each suite has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen complete with silverware, dishes and a dishwasher, and even an in-unit laundry machine with dryer. There is a spacious living room and dining area, and the master bathroom has two sinks, a separate lavatory and a wide rain shower area with side nozzles as well which was very nice and romantic for, uh, shower things. ;) The second bedroom has two beds in it that are clearly meant for children. The property is linked with two other properties that have several restaurants, a beach volleyball court, several big pools and Jacuzzis and a decent fitness center. There are numerous activities for kids going on all day as well. It's only about 3 miles from the Disney parks so the drive is an easy 10 minutes. From a practical standpoint, this place is overkill if you are just going as a couple or by yourself. It was cool to have all that space and I even cooked one meal in the room, but unless you are coming here with a family, or a bigger group, it's overkill. From a value standpoint, staying at this property is not a bad idea. We paid about $330 per night here which is far cheaper than getting a room at one of the Disney resorts and you get far more space and peace and quiet. Yes, there is a lot to be said at actually staying at one of the onsite hotels, but if you want to stretch your money a bit and you have a family, this is the place to stay. Each building here has two floors and no elevators. So if you have a lot of heavy luggage, have some health issues or are just plain butt-lazy, then request a room on the first floor well in advance or deal with walking up one flight of stairs. There are no shuttles to the Disney parks, so you'll have to arrange your own ride. This place just recently underwent some renovations so there are a few kinks that were being worked out. For example, my main TV was missing some sort of adapter that allows me to watch actual TV. For a while, I could only watch the Marriott Vacation upselling channel that they have going on endlessly. The second bedroom was missing the TV remote, which I didn't really care because we didn't use it, but it's the principle. In any case, this is a very nice place that provides good bang for your buck and is located very conveniently close to the Disney Parks and Disney Springs.

Just recently stayed here on vacation. Absolutely loved it! Villas offered lots of amenities as well as the resort. Loved the new updated shower and that it had a washer and dryer in the unit.

A very nice "villa-style" hotel with 2 bedrooms, living room, and full kitchen. I'm just staying here for a few days at a conference but it has the comforts for a longer stay including laundry facilities right in the room. It is a bit far from the conference center but I knew that upfront and enjoy walking the grounds. It is very clean and the desk staff accommodated my late arrival and even drove me to my room. Since I'm traveling on business I'm not too price sensitive but it seemed like a good deal.

If you don't follow your GPS like it's the voice of God, you'll drive past this place at least 10 times wondering if you're being pranked. Once you finally find it, though, you're in for a surprise. The hotel is attached to a magnificent steakhouse and gives off this classy vineyard-patio vibe that makes you feel like you're about to attend a wine tasting, even if you're just there for work like I was. Walking up, there are beautiful outdoor tables with glass tops where guests can relax, eat, and pretend they're important. Then you walk into the lobby and BAM dark wood floors, elegant furniture, comfortable sofas, and enough atmosphere to make you wonder, Wait what did I accidentally book? I was honestly concerned I'd somehow clicked the wrong hotel and was about to max out my credit card. Nope. Surprisingly affordable. The room? Fantastic. You've got a Keurig machine ready to fuel your caffeine addiction, a nice big TV, all the amenities you need, and then there's THE BED. Listen, I don't know if it's a pillow-top, a cloud-top, a Sleep Number, a NASA mattress, or if angels personally fluff it every afternoon, but that thing is dangerous. I laid down for what felt like five minutes and woke up the next morning. I slept harder than a newborn after a bottle. Now let's talk about room service. They have this little stand where you order directly from the steakhouse downstairs. I ordered dinner, expecting hotel prices that require a small bank loan. The bill was $35. I nearly called the front desk to report a pricing error. Meanwhile, I was hungrier than a hostage, and they delivered a meal fit for royalty. For a brief moment, I genuinely felt like a VIP. The hotel also has a nice bar for those who enjoy a drink. I don't drink, but if I did, I probably would've celebrated finally finding the entrance. Bottom line: great atmosphere, beautiful property, comfortable rooms, amazing food, affordable prices, and a mattress that may have supernatural powers. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I still need GPS to find it? Also absolutely.

Not once did the waitstaff ever come by to offer me more coffee at breakfast. So, for service I give 3 stars. However, the bartender at the pool was wonderful! She was very nice and attentive. The valets were all great! The front desk staff were all wonderful. It's really just the waitstaff in the restaurants that need to get better. We loved our room. We had a view of the pool. I would hope a nice hotel like this would have magnified mirrors for the bathroom. The food and drinks in the restaurants were good. No complaints. The location is great. We were able to go out and about without worrying about driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The hotel was easy to find, and parking is conveniently located right across the street with simple in-and-out access (though, of course, there is a parking fee -- which is never fun). Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff was accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was on the fifth floor, which I actually prefer when staying in a city -- the higher up, the better to avoid street noise. One of my favorite features of Embassy Suites is the room layout. The separation between the living room and bedroom is ideal, especially if someone wants to rest while others are still awake. The rooms have consistently been clean and feel very homey. Everything was great -- until Sunday morning. This is a dog-friendly hotel, which we love since we bring our dog and take her on walks so she's not stuck inside all weekend. However, checkout morning was pure chaos. One of the two elevators was out of service, it was peak checkout time, and there was also a princess pageant event happening, so the hotel was much busier than usual. Trying to get downstairs with my dog was extremely frustrating. I looked for stairs but wasn't sure if they were alarmed. When I asked an employee to confirm, she looked at me like I had five heads, which didn't help my already thin patience (I definitely did not have enough coffee for that situation). I eventually just went downstairs. Coming back up was even worse -- the line for the single working elevator was ridiculous. When I asked the front desk about the stairs, I was told they were accessible from outside. I didn't realize I needed my key card to re-enter through the outdoor stairwell (which makes total sense -- I was just aggravated at that point). After going back inside and trying again, I ended up walking up five flights of stairs with my dog. Thankfully, we had requested a late checkout, so we avoided the absolute peak of the chaos. Our friends on the third floor ended up carrying their luggage down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wasn't worth it. Unfortunately, being on the fifth floor with a lot of luggage, that wasn't really an option for us. Aside from that stressful morning, we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary evening happy hour with drink tickets and small bites is always a highlight. We also had breakfast on Saturday morning -- and honestly, the breakfast is a major deciding factor whenever we choose to stay at a Hilton. Overall, a great stay with one very frustrating checkout experience.

We also enjoyed milkshakes from the malt shop. The room was fine - we had a suite with a little kitchenette and it was spacious enough for a few days. **My only real complaint (and the reason for my lower review) was the quality of the furniture. My daughter was leaning against one of the end tables to plug something in on the other side the night before we were hitting Epic Universe early, and it collapsed below her. She fell on top of it and some portion of it punctured her leg (we think a metal pin that was poking out from one of the broken legs). We contacted hotel management, and they came with hotel security who did some basic first aid and took away the broken tables (the other one also broke from her fall). We're grateful she wasn't injured more seriously (at least that we know of yet), but it could have been so much worse if that pin had punctured a more delicate area of her body. It also definitely made the next day at the park a lot harder for her with leg pain, etc. They really need to upgrade/inspect the furniture to make sure it's safe for guests.
