There's a beverage cart that we saw frequently. Very good practice facility- range balls were included as part of greens fees. Separate chipping and putting area. Staff was friendly and helpful. July Monday round - big PLUS, bottled waters - 2 were in a cooler in the cart and you can grab more at the beginning or turn. Also ranger has more but we never saw him. Overall better than average and would return.

Palatka Golf Club was the closest option so we gave it a try. The attendant in the pro shop was friendly, polite, funny and very helpful. This is the first driving range that I've ever been to where you paid at the pro shop, collect your balls, drove to the driving range and then walk through an active course across the 9th tee box to the driving range. I'll admit it, at first I was pessimistic about hitting into a large pond that was boarded by the golf course with no netting to catch bad hits. But, outside of a few stray hits that went into the boarding fairways, there were no problems. The range itself was well maintained and was fun to actually into a water obstacle on purpose. Directly to the rear of the driving range is a short game area complete with bunker and practice green. This was not as well maintained as the driving range. But, it was still good and we both enjoyed it. Overall, it was a nice experience. I did not have the opportunity to play a round, so my rating is based only on the driving range and practice green.

There is a lot of chatter about this being a Donald Ross designed course (1925) and it probably was a decent course, at one time. The fairways are dirt and weeds. All greens are turtle-backed, so that quickly gets old. But, I could live with that if the greens were actually green. Where are the sprinklers?!! How about a little fertilizer and some weed control? Yes, there had been a short draught, but there is a large pond holding water. The clubhouse is fine and the staff are friendly. But, that cannot excuse the condition of the course. I'll try again this fall and see if there have been any improvements.
