Comfort zone. Security blanket. Happy place. All ways I would describe this Marshalls location. I don't remember when I discovered Marshalls, but whenever that day was, my life changed forever. I feel like I'm cheating on them if I get a candle somewhere else. And honestly why would I with the prices and quality candles they have!? Unless of course it's handcrafted by a local, those are special treats. My wardrobe got a real upgrade once I realized there were things for me here. I went from H&M and Forever 21 to quality, brand name clothing that lasted more than just a few months, and honestly didn't cost a lot more. Also a big fan of the homegoods section filled with pots and pans, wine glasses, quirky mugs, interesting ingredients, furniture, area rugs, shower curtains, bath mats, dog beds, throw pillows, planners, holiday decor... I could spend so much time wandering those aisles (read: I HAVE spent so much time wandering those aisles). Over the years, I have found this location to always been clean and tidy, helpful and kind staff, and though the lines can get backed up, I've never seen it get as bad as TJ Maxx/Homegoods in Amherst can get. Parking can be tricky during peak shopping times during the holiday season, but it's usually not too long that a person comes out and leaves giving you a place to park. read more

I Haven't done a whole lot of shopping for at least a year, probably similar to many other people. But I popped in here recently to look for a new lightning cord for my car. While here I took a quick trip around to the back where they keep all the kitchen and food stuff. Everything is super well organized and super well laid out. They do have a greeter at the front door who is counting to make sure that doesn't get too crowded in there. There was kind of a long line for check out so that was unfortunate. Not a bad place for clothes. I've picked up dress shoes for $18 (wedding-worthy), a nice assortment of summer clothes and most recently a nice winter jacket. The winter jacket was on the pricier side at $75, but Tommy Hilfinger branded and not awful. The store is mostly clean and organized and even if there is a line, the cash out registers never take too long. Additional tip: get those German cookies they have at the register! Totally worth the $3 ;)! read more

I have shopped in numerous Marshalls stores and love the bargain prices and the quality of the merchandise. This particular Marshalls is smaller than most, which makes it feel cramped and crowded. While there are many clothing bargains to be found, the biggest downfall is that the dressing rooms are closed. Parking is right outside the door, which is a blessing in bad weather. The carts are wiped clean after each customer. There is a sanitizing station by the entrance where a kind lady offers face masks and hand sanitizer. Once inside, there are several departments to visit, and each has a clearance section to select from. I always find something irresistible, and never leave empty handed. There is usually a line to check out, but it moves quickly. Today I had Kalisha cash me out, and she was so friendly and fun to chat with. She thanked me for shopping at Marshalls and said she hoped to see me back soon. Shopping carts cannot leave the store. I found this out the hard way when the wheels locked and I couldn't push the cart any further. Luckily, assistance was immediately available to remedy the situation. read more

I have a guilty and special fondness for Marshalls that does not blind me completely to its flaws. It's like a flea market or thrift store done corporate style: there's never the same selection twice, and that's sort of both what I like about it but what you might hate about it if you like the consistency of, say, the Target down the street. Marshalls sells pretty much every home good except the most important one (alcohol), but there's a liquor store next door to this one, so you're still covered. It's weirdly and haphazardly arranged (see: corporate flea market comment) so that you don't really go there looking for anything in particular. You just sorta go there, and see how the spirit moves you to spend money on things that, unless you're getting last years socks and boxers on clearance (which you probably should), you most likely didn't need all that much. So, here is a typical Marshalls binge at our house: a cast iron pan (they carry the fantastic Lodge line), an electric desk fan, nine kinds of olives and hot sauces (these are cheap and always changing), maybe some discounted elastic exercise bands, a wallet, an old-model air fryer on clearance, a bunch of artsy snack foods, the aforementioned socks and boxers, Halloween-themed plates long after Halloween, a dog toy or two, and a piece of badly damaged and hastily repaired furniture that's like $40 so you will gamble that you can fix it better at home. Plus maybe a suitcase if one of us needs an upgrade. The weirdness of that list sort of tells you everything that you need to know. Marshalls may fit your life and it may not. Lines can be long. Service is generally pretty good. The parking lot is tiny. You will be panhandled on your way out the door. read more

Easily one of my go-to places for books, toys, & sometimes clothing & shoes for the kids. Tasked with shopping for a group gift for a baby shower I was able to fill a nice basket with 10 gifts for a little over $60. And I would have brought more with the cute items in stock (see pics of adorable chairs) so good thing my group had a spending budget limit! The staff is friendly - while waiting in line a nice lady asked me if I found everything I needed or need a price check on items. Random notes: + there's a huge dressing room if you need to try on clothing near the shoe section - inventory changes on everything daily so you never know what kind of cool things you'll find (or miss) - parking does get kind of cray cray since it's in a small plaza with other businesses, however, I never had a problem the few times I shopped here read more

I wanted a frame, I found a frame, I purchased a frame...it was the perfect frame for my needs, the price was fair. There were so many other things to look at, but I stayed focused until I saw the cacao nibs... then all bets were off and I had to buy things I did not intend... gotta LOVE Marshalls! read more

Handbag selection is weak. They get robbed everyday from snatchers. They have items that don't even belong in the store. The manager Joe and Amanda are rude and are never welcoming. They don't have enough cashiers or people on the floor who know about the merchandise. The associates clearly don't want to be there making the place so gloomy and the appearance of the store is so nasty and sloppy. Clothes on the floor, broken hangers on the floor, tickets in the fitting room. The merchandiser of the store makes no effort to empower me to make a purchase. There's no post Covid hand sanitizer and the bathrooms smell like shit, are clogged with shit, and this place has gone to shit. I used to come here all the time make over $200 purchases pretty much every week and they have no consideration for my loyalty to this store. Can't even put a hold or make exceptions for customer satisfaction. I really don't recommend this marshalls for people that want to have a pleasant shopping experience. Even the homeless people outside of the store have a better attitude than the people in the store and really that's saying something. This place should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves. There are way better marshalls in the Buffalo area and I would recommend anywhere but here! read more

I'm not a huge Marshalls fan. The stores tend to be disorganized and the "chute" for the cashier is awful. It always seems to take a long time to get through checkout. That said, I was on the hunt for nice boots for work. I stopped at the Shoe Dept next door and figured I might as well pop in to Marshalls to see what they had too. They carry some high-end brands at a pretty reasonable discount from the retail price. Usually last year's styles. If you're looking for generic shoes, even the clearance rack can cause you sticker shock. If you're looking for higher-end shoes that will last a while, then you know you're going to pay a premium for better-made footwear. Today I bought a pair of Coach boots (normally $448) on clearance for $149. Worth the trip. read more

I have been to this Marshall's a couple times and I don't find it to be well stocked. It could be because it is a smaller store and that's the reason it stays picked over or maybe it's the location? I usually go to the Marshall's at the Niagara Outlet which is a half decent store. Since I was staying in Buffalo, and it was close to where I was I checked out this location. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this store though. read more

This location has usually been a good, successful trip. The clothing selection for men is somewhat limited, but there are always some good clearance shoes to look at. I'm also a big fan of the kitchenware section - if you want a french press, buy it at a store like this! While the lighting in here makes me utterly woozy, I still find plenty of reasons to come back. The housewares section has amazing bargains, ditto stationery, towels, and accessories. On occasion, I have even found a small table or office chair for a fraction of the price it would be elsewhere. Woof. This Marshalls is pretty bad. Clothing wise, they are fully stocked. Lots of options for women, men, children and babies and as plentiful as the selections you are going to find at TJ Maxx. Their shoes department is a mess, really needs some organization and I am not saying this after one visit, I have come in several times over the last few months and have had the same opinion. The smell of this store, well, it's not my favorite smell. Almost sort of a mildew, in desperate need for a serious cleaning kind of smell. Their home goods section is where the star rating takes a mega dip. Their aisles are bare in that department. They had one bag of coffee on their shelf yesterday, one. They had a section for candles that was about 6 inches wide and four feet tall. Their candles were thrown about like it was a pre-school cubby. The wax was chipping out of the majority of them and the glass containers were broken for many. It would have taken a solid 10 minutes to arrange these candles nicely, toss the broken ones, clean the outsides that had stuck on wax, to make them someone presentable. Just because Marshalls offers discount items doesn't mean the store needs to be a dump. I walk into the Home Goods on Transit and the Hallelujah chorus begins. It's sparkling clean and everything is displayed in a clean, organized fashion. This Marshalls could be that way too! Anyways, pillow section was tiny, blanket section was non-existant. They had about 8 lamps, NO section for kitchen utensils like spatulas, knives, pancake flipper over things (why can't I think of a name for this tool right now?) I think this Marshalls should close down for a weekend, get their act together, clean, re-organize and then have a grand re-opening. read more

I used to love shopping here, but now I just go every once in a blue moon. I used to be able to find what I am looking for from shoes to accessories, and the store used to be tidy up. Going there today, everything is kind of not in order and you have to look hard to find what it is you want because its so scattered. Some shoes aren't in shoe boxes, some look worn, probably from constantly being tried on by other customers, and also it is so cluttered. I feel like there is no space, even there isn't a lot of people in the store. They sell name brand things, but it is a bit cheaper which is what I like about it. Sometimes I wonder though if its the real thing. They are a bit pricey, but when they have sells things go real fast. So if you want something probably have to go early, or you'll have to wait until they restock. They do have Layaway, I've never used it but most people use it during the holidays. This store is in a plaza with a whole bunch of little departments, salons, stores, etc. There is big parking lot, so you don't have to worry about finding parking elsewhere. The area is pretty safe, and there is also surrounding stores, fast food, and restaurants around it. read more

This chain of stores is my favorite! You can always find hidden gems and good deals. I especially recommend it to dog owners because they have the cheapest prices on pet supplies in town! It will require patience and a few hours to shop the entire store for phenomenal deals but if you go in for something specific, it will be easy to locate what you need and you'll get a good price. Sign up for their rewards program to get random freebies (I've already received a roll of wrapping paper and a makeup bag) and they'll invite you to early morning private shopping parties. read more

I am impressed with the constant turnover and organization of the store by employees, however.....That's just it I feel there are often so many employees throughout the store stocking, organizing and chatting.. and one MAYBE two employees at the register. There have been numerous times where I almost decided to leave while in line due to having many customers in front of me and one or two cashiers cashing as if there were 2 people in line, not 15. I'm not saying they should need to feel rushed, but being attentive to how many people are in line - and how that makes them look having small talk about their weekend slowly cashing out a customer, may benefit them. read more

Decent Marshalls. I've been to both better and worse. Staff is nice here. Also I find the lines to move particularly well here. I'd say most of the time you can find a good deal at this location but compared to some others you can't always find multiple of that good deal. That may be because the volume at this store is less. Either way I get a good deal here. If you're looking for a giant store though this is not your choice. Cheektowaga or Orchard Park have them beat. read more

I like coming to Marshall's for hair/nail accessories. They also have a nice selection of clothing to choose from. Some things they get come in different sizes while other things are 'only size' as if shopping in a thrift store. I like the thrift store feel of Marshalls because it means that you're going to get some quality merchandise for a bargain. Marshalls is really neat for those unique buys. For instance, they have hair care/skin care products that are vegan and organic....super unique feature of Marshalls. They also have a great hair care section, and home decor section which makes them one of the top spots for stocking stuffers. I had been shopping at Marshalls for years and years with many terrific finds. I was VERY disappointed when they eliminated the petite department. While they claim they still carry petite merchandise and that it can be found mixed in with regular clothes I can only rarely find petites. PLEASE BRING BACK THE PETITE SECTION!!!! read more
