Went to Ollie's today for their fabulous bubble bath which is only &2.99 for 36 ounces of (vanilla lavender ) it's antibacterial so I also use it for liquid hand soap ! While I was there I meet the manager Tom ,Joann , Charlene you probably wondered why I meet these wonderful people ! This is a great place to find bargains. You can find things here that are very reasonably priced, with a great selection. They have many household goods like carpets and kitchen ware and the like. They also have deals on food items as well. It's basically a discount store steroids. I love this place. My mother probably goes there every other week. read more

Ollie's is a great store for shoppers and so reasonable priced that you can't beat. You walk in there's always something for you to buy. You can never go in and only say im only here for coffee. Now you find a new coffee maker and buy kuerig coffee a big box for 29.99. Dark roast. Then what about the coupons the more you buy the more percent you get off. 10%or15%.off! read more

The service was very good they got me out quickly. The selection of products is pretty good obviously a few find something you really like probably better buy it because you won't find it again at another time their inventory changes because of the type of business they are. Great value on different things depending on what you're looking for Candy's pretty cheap there they have breakfast bars very reasonable coffee sometimes little less than other supermarkets I would definitely recommend it to most people it's a great place if you just looking for random things they've got a really good book section paint section and other types of car products. read more

Ollie's is a huge discount store that has the look of a Value home center, blended with the super flea market. Everything that is being offered here, is overstock from other department stores. Books, small appliances, furniture, and food all can be found here at very reasonable prices. read more

This was my first time ever visiting this location. It seems as though everything is thrown here and there. No semblance of order. Rows and rows of books. So many rugs. I was able to find an inexpensive gardening hoe, a lot cheaper than Home Depot or Lowe's. Aisles are cluttered, with garbage everywhere. read more

Strange employees, stranger customers . Ollie's rarely have items advertised in circular. The "deals " seem to be swallowed up by the regular customers. Mostly poor quality items. Good for K-cups and windshield wiper blades. We rarely find "good stuff cheap " poor quality items and overpriced good quality items. This is where your cheap ( but well off ) sister in law goes Christmas shopping. Bring back the free coffee! read more

Lots of items - combo of grocery store, drugstore, hardware, home furnishing and home improvement. Low prices, lots of no-name brands to keep prices down. I ended up buying snack food, home decor item and a tool to fix my broken chair. If this store was closer to my home or work I'd visit more often. read more

The short: you owe it to your pocketbook to take a trip out The long: A cheap-crap closeout store where you can find just about everything, for nothing at all. Actually, Ollie's moto is "Good Stuff, Cheap"...and while MOST of the items are good, ALL of the items are cheap!! This is a favorite stop on our bimonthly Saturday Bargain Hunt, either before or after a trip to the Flea Market on Walden. (definitely stop off at Milton's for a souvlaki wrap and fries if you wanna make it a complete trip!) I've literally spent two hours in this store before (not sure I should admit that lol) Go in knowing you will leave with more than what you planned for; although you can't really PLAN ahead for Ollie's because the selection is different each time. It is the quintessential discount closeout store, putting Big Lots to shame. Ollie (we're on a first name basis) initially earned a spot in my heart because of his huge selection of discount books--some good, some bad, most under three bucks. The book area is a teacher's oasis when starting up a classroom library and the perfect spot for xmas shopping on a budget! All genres, all shapes, all sizes, all colors. Fiction, non-fiction, children's, art, inspirational, coffee table, and everything in between! And don't forget the 10'x20'ft wall of yellow "For Dummies" books...it is a truly overwhelming sight. I didn't realize there was such a wide variety of topics to choose from. Whatever skill you need to hone, you can find a resource book to help you through it here. Seriously, this place is crazy. There is such a wide variety of all sorts of products. I always say "Check Ollie's before making any purchase." Ok, I don't actually say that...I think it. And I rarely find my way out to Walden to follow my own advice. But every time I'm there I always feel guilty for spending full price on crap at Target, cuz truthfully there are often closeout items from the big box'ers....and for usually half the price. Scrapbooking, art, school, and stationery supplies Automotive and boy stuff picture frames framed art RUGS, RUGS, RUGS as far as the eye can see! (do NOT purchase a rug, big or little, until you check here.) planters really cute patio furniture (seasonal) Utility shelves bar stools lamps Shelving and cabinetry usually a decent holiday section (I got some great halloween stuff for literally pennies) towels, bedding, curtains (all my curtains are from Ollie's...they originally hail from target.) random non-perishable food (hit or miss with quality) TOYS and games...good ones too! (ie. Eric Carle board games matched up to quality children's literature) Brand name (good quality!) pots, pans, silverware Cleaning products Name brand shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste DVDs sometimes odd-ball clothes electronics accessories etc etc etc Also...the customer service is pretty spectacular. A few times I've gotten into some pretty deep convo's with the counter girls...and the manager was extremely helpful when we needed to return an airconditioner (in a mooshed up box, sans receipt) because it was the wrong style. Brownie points for the cute old man caricature and the funny signs all over the store. But sadly...I'm deducting a star because on more than one occasion I have seen products covered in gooey junk (I'm speaking specifically of bathroom stuff like shampoo or moisturizer.) It is apparent the reason the stuff was shipped to Ollie's was because a box burst or whatever...but they don't even bother to wipe the products down before putting them on the shelves. I'm not a neat freak...but I prefer not having to touch mystery fluids lol.....but who's kidding whom...if the price is right I'll wipe it down myself once I get home! ;) read more

It's gotta be me because other people love this place but I couldn't stand it. Sure you can get some things for cheaper than you would in Target but I question authenticity and expiration dates. Plus everything seems to be cheap, lower quality, made in Asian countries, and just not appealing. I rushed through the entire store, anxious, and waiting to find where the dead body was hidden. Wow, non-food establishments really get the short end of the stick for reviews huh? PROS + location: it is close to the Galleria mall. How cool is that? After you're done shopping here, go shop there! :P + price (obviously): The original prices are marked by the reduced prices. This is like a Winners or Marshalls but with everythinggggggggggggggg! + loyalty program: If you're signing up for the first time, you get 10% off your next purchase! I bought few items on the first one so I could go HAM on the second :P NEUTRALS *(my non-con con list) - Organization (or there lack of): You can come to expect this, given the prices you're paying for the quality you're receiving. I purchased curtains, curtain rods, rugs, home decor, food, etc. but I had to dig to find them. It's like hunting for treasure. The journey was just as fun as the collecting of the gold ;). Even with 10+ items, I managed to walk out with a bill under $100. Score! - Customer service: Can I be neutral about this? I didn't think I got impeccable service but they weren't downright rude to me. One of the staff, after responding to my inquiry, made my shopping experience slightly uncomfortable by saying, "you're so gorgeous/beautiful." So there you have it. Being a girl and perpetuating gender stereotypes, I *love* shopping and I *love* deals even more. The prices and selection of merchandise is fair. However, the employees and management staff, are rude and their behavior sucks. Teris screwed up at check out, and called me ignorant and trouble maker when I called him on it. I like Ollie's now and again. It has a lot of different merchandise, including grocery items. I find some neat things here when I haven't been in awhile. You do need to know your prices as some items are a good deal and some not so much. There's a lot of no name items on the cheaper end which I usually avoid as I don't know how they will be. Overall I find it fun to bargain shop once in awhile and when I have time I enjoy wondering around the store to see what goodies I might find. read more

It's mostly cheap junk. If it looks like too good of a deal, it's probably broke (example - adorable coat rack for $17 definitely broken pieces inside) That being said, if you can get through the racist ads on the walls and ceiling, there are deals to be had! Totes and picture hanging equipment a plenty. Their hardware section and pet section are much bigger than you might expect. Not great for arts & crafts - definitely the most overpriced section in the store. Staff is quick at check-out and pretty nice. read more

Karen Z's review was right on the money. Ollie's is all about "randomosity". They have a little of everything. I really recommend stopping in every so often since they often have short-term zingers you won't find every week. One week I found a full Bosch kitchen faucet set for $35, another time it was shelves for $9 that are $40 at Target. You just really never no what you'll find tucked away within their usual offerings of kitchen doo-dads, bargain books, window treatments, linens, and toys. I'm something of a cheapskate. So when I'm looking for something specific, I usually start my shopping expeditions here, then gradually work my way up through the value chain to Target, TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc until I eventually get to Macy's. read more

Definitely a a discount store atmosphere. There's not too much for me to say here that hasn't been said in other reviews. I suppose if it hadn't been my first time there, it would have been easier to find a few things that I was looking for. The store is rather large and as others have said, filled with random, cheap stuff. I almost added another star for this find however: Due to an old neck injury, I cannot buy inexpensive, generic pillows. I typically spend $30-$50 any time I need a new one. I got a Sealy here for $7.99. I didn't know if it would work out due to the low price but it was name-brand and for the price I figured I'd give it a try. In conclusion, one of the most comfortable pillows I've ever owned. I'm going to try to get back there this weekend to buy a few more because I'm sure this was just a random thing they had. I'm guessing that they don't really have most things on the regular. As a co-worker told me, "If you see something, you have to buy it because when you come back, it will be gone." read more

Hey - I'm a junk store junkie and this place certainly has some junk - some of it pretty darn good junk. This wasn't my first trip to this particular location, but it was the first in a very long time. We got a great deal on some K-cups and I might add - we've already tried them and we like them better then the Starbucks K-cups we had on hand - so that proved to be worth the trip in on it's own. I also picked up a great deal on some Levi jeans - though the Levi tag was removed - you could easily tell that they were Levi's AND yes - tried them on at home and they fit like I've worn them for years - not a bad deal at all unless you are the type that likes to show off labels. A few other purchases and we wondered why we don't go there more often, but like most stores in this category - the rating could change from day to day. Today - it received my four star! There was plenty of parking, huge selection and if you go without expecting much - you might be surprised. The staff certainly were friendly enough too! Just don't expect nice big clear isles or great organization and you will be fine. read more

When you need something or when you want something and you are not sure what you need.....Ollie's. A bit dusty dirty with a discount store atmosphere you need to give yourself time to LOOK. I've got lost in the book section for at least a half hour each time I've visited here. There is food in strange unpopular flavors...... there are lots of rugs. Throws and large enough for whole rooms. Linens always a good buy. Cooking pans, etc. Not bad prices, something for every budget. Scored $100 sheet set for $15. Lots of flower pots right now. Love this place! As a discount store, you never know what might be offered. Very similar to National Wholesale Liquidators in Long Island, NY. Brand name stuff for much less - definitely great deals. The circular flyers are difficult to read so I don't bother anymore - get signed up with Ollie's Army for emails and postcards - that's where you find out about the good stuff! Great selection of discounted toys, art/school supplies, and food. Also has a wide variety of staples for the home - linens, bath & kitchen accessories, etc. read more

Ollie's is a mess. The store smells and the aisles are unorganized. My feeling is that even though a store sells junk, has supposed discounts and is an outlet, doesn't mean that is a free pass to skimp on keeping the place clean. With that being said, they have tons of stuff here. Pots, pans, frames, lamps galore, minimal furniture, mattresses, rugs and appliances. I sorted through some of the frying pans looking for one that was decently priced however I couldn't recognize a discount. All of the Paula Deen pans were more money than the Paula Deen pans sold at Target and Marshalls. The only reason to come here would be to get a mega discount but I didn't think things were that cheap. I was looking for an end table but they were in the $70 range, more than Christmas Tree Shops and Walmart. You can't have a messy store and beatable prices. I didn't dig too much into the home goods area because I was skeeved from the cleanliness of the place. read more

Randomness at it finest. When you walk in here it just seems like it has piles of organized stuff. If you need a particular item it may be somewhat daunting to figure out. This discount store actually makes you want to browse everything they have to offer. Luckily I don't mind that, cause you never know what you might find and it's like you're on a adventurous treasure hunt. I bought an oriental rug here a couple years ago pretty cheap, and it's still in great shape. Actually discounted rugs seem to be one of their better selling points here. I also just came here recently for an exchange. I received a food processor as a gift that was damaged and since it was charged on the original purchaser credit card I opted for the store credit instead of the exchange of the same item. This is so I could go exploring again and maybe find something else. Glad I did, since I ended up with a really nice combo blender and food processor all in one for the same exact price....Score!! read more

My review is on the cashier whom cashed out an elderly lady in front of me in line. The poor lady just wanted to use one of her coupons and the cashier masses her feel bad and made it seem like the lady was causing her pain by taking the coupon. The cashier was texting when there was a line of people waiting to be cashed out. I work in customer service and I was getting so upset about how the dumb cashier was treating the lady. They need people who are excited to be there and help. read more

This store is a decent place to get (some, not all) quality, or at least not bad, items for not a lot of money. Everything's surprisingly organized and clean. My only complaint is that when I went there, the staff were not nice. I asked a young lady working there if they had any mirrors because I broke one, and she literally said "go find it yourself!" So I talked to the manager and she doesn't work there anymore, which is good, also when I went to checkout, the clerk was silent. He didn't say a word, he didn't tell me how much change I got back, or how much money I owed, nothing. That's why I'm giving Ollie's a 2 star review. Be a little more friendly Ollie! read more

Ollie's offers tremendous opportunities to get excellent items at excellent prices. However to be successful first understand that the item arrived for sale at Ollie's because it was unsuccessful at the original place of sale. It could have been the fault of the original seller, placement, or even the wrong season. Nothing offered there is broken or not suitable. Everything from clothing to food and more are established brands, It's sorta like Marshall's or National Liquidators. One thing to remember if you see it and want it, it probably won't be there again. Currently the Progresso and Campbell soups offer tremendous value and unique flavors. One thing consistent is an excellent variety of quality hardware and great DVD's. Just remember to join the "club" for frequent 10% discounts. Venture into electronics only if you have an understanding or bring a friend along to help. Ollie's offers an excellent return policy, so retain your receipt. read more
