I have so much respect for the district manager that was here today, we had a short but sweet conversation about our personal lives and found out we had a lot in common. What a treat! The cashier was also very helpful and guided me around the store to help me find some things that I was looking for specifically ( a keychain). Great attitude towards their jobs and the business they are in, you can tell they are very experienced and very knowledgeable about their business. They tend to have pretty good sales throughout the season and when the season is over, of course they have even better sales. On average, during NCAA shirts are about 14.99 but I have even gotten a tshirt for $5 during off season. They also sell sweats, tops and bottoms... As well as kid sizes and 3 & 4XL. Something so simple is so much appreciated to witness, at least to me it is. Overall, the clothing racks have plenty of selections and are dispersed by sizes so it is easy to find your size. Racks and shelves boast flowing, lacy tops and skinny jeans with high price tags. Home decor with scriptures range from signs to mugs to pillows and so forth. Most of the items in the store were actually my style and taste (I spent nearly an hour walking around); unfortunately none of it was really affordable for me. I did end up buying a small sideways cross necklace that cost $15. Not ridiculous but a little bit high. If someone bought me a gift from here, I'd be delighted, but not sure if my wallet could tolerate. Minus a star for the prices of the clothing. I know that a portion of the profit goes towards supporting high risk children but it doesn't specify the amount or the specific people being helped. [Ah-Ha! A quick search on their website says 1% of the profits go to an organization in Peru....] Plus, doesn't excessive consumerism sort of go against Christian values, anyway? The store is a bit of a contradiction. At least they're trying to spread a message.

The prices were steep, but they were running some sort of "buy one get one for x" sale. I hate that, what if I only want to buy just one?! That was the case actually. So, after searching around looking for a second shirt, I finally put the one shirt back and left empty handed. And what's with all of the short shirts?! I'm not liking that style at all, and it seemed like the majority of the shirts were waist length. Needless to say, I won't be coming back.

I used to shop the White House Black market outlet stores, but much of their clothing appears to be of a different quality (except for the sales racks which seem to have some clothing from the boutiques). I came here on Sunday with my friend who had some birthday money to spend. The summer sale items were 50% off of their reduced prices. She found many nice dresses and tops. I also found a good black shirt and skirt with a black, nude, and white, pattern on it for work. The store was quiet and the saleslady checked in on us often. The appearance of the store is neat.
