We , My husband and I have and will continue to purchase our eye glasses from them . Again Great Prices !! We have also purchased tires for our RV from them , lowest cost in the area . With all of the shopping I do at Costco, I'm surprised that I've never reviewed them. I keep in mind that prices ending in .88 or .00 are special, last-chance markdowns. Meanwhile, prices ending in .97 are markdown deals made at a corporate or manager level. Also, when I go on road trips, I ensure I fill up via Costco. Besides, most Costco locations aren't too deep into the cities. This is an added plus due to the higher petrol prices in SoCal, parts of NorCal, Chicago, and the Northeastern United States. Next, if you are like me, I don't do Costco on the weekends, but If you must and hate crowds, get there when they immediately open or at least within the first hour. They have free air for your tires, which recently came in handy during a road trip due to the fridge weather. My vehicle was showing 15 air pressure on the left front tire. If you are a sports fan of MLB, NFL, or even the Kentucky Derby, Costco will have merchandise at the start of the season at a fraction of the cost, even cheaper than Walmart. For alcohol sales, due to Kentucky state laws, you do not have to be a Costco member to purchase alcohol. Texas is another state, and the alcohol is outside of the member card check-in area. I'm often surprised that folks are still unaware of this. Since I am Deaf, I don't hear the product scanning beeps, so I have to watch the prices on the self-check screen. I don't want to get accused of theft. I've never had issues Recently, I was scolded while at the self-checkout for placing a twelve-pack of water on the weight shelf after scanning it. A staff member who was working self-checkout appeared sore with me. I finally saw him say, "Don't sit that there." The weight will break the shelf since it weighs items. We will scan it for you. Leave it in the cart." Well, that was utter drivel because the other staff member watched me pick it up and scan it while she stood there like a Greek statue with the scanner in her hand. Seriously, we made eye contact; I believe she was more interested in staring at us, signing to each other. You'd be surprised at the amount of hearing people who are scared to interact with Deaf people because they don't know American Sign Language (ASL) and assume that is the only mode we use for communication. Look, if it's that important, use the notepad on your Smartphones to communicate with us. read more

We stopped by during a road trip home because our son is so picky and only likes a few items on the road! But Costco pizza is always on point and his favorite! The slice was HUGE, steaming hot and super cheesy! And I got the warm cookie to take with us on the road! It was so delicious and stayed soft the entire time even when it got to room temp! Seriously, Costco may become addictive, and this warehouse may be an enabler! It should not come as a surprise that not all Costco Warehouses are the same. Sure, most basic stock can be found anywhere, but this location is larger than the one that is 5 miles from where I live and as such carries additional products that make it worth the 65 mile drive from time to time. Pricing is uniform with the other warehouses I shop except for "clearance items" which at this location appears to be better and of which I took advantage of. I found this warehouse to be very clean and well lit with helpful employees when I needed help on a bustling pre holiday shop. The food court is a practically a universal model, so no surprises there and the wait was literally under a minute. No complaints at all with this location. I will gladly return! read more

This was a beautiful store! Organized, clean and quick at the check out. The liquor store had a great selection of bourbon and whisky. The garden section was loaded with flowering plants including Easter lilies. Some of my favorites which scented the entire front section by the registers. Parking was easy around 6pm which was rare. Walking into Costco is like walking into a casino--(minus the slot machines and smoky haze!) My wife and I walk in, grab a bite to eat, and suddenly it's like time doesn't exist. We head in for "just a couple things" and find ourselves wandering the aisles, losing all track of time as we stumble on deals we didn't know we needed. Sure, the store can be packed, but if you time it right, it's an adventure. And shoutout to the staff--they're super friendly and helpful. read more

I joined principally for gas, but I must note that I've already had a better service experience than at the other membership clubs, having gotten a detailed introduction to encourage me to optimize my membership card. The store is full of bulk items and cheap brands as you might expect. I don't think I'd do a ton of food shopping here for my needs, but I was pleased to find some peppadews, among a few other useful items. The checkout experience was straightforward and even on a busy day I barely waited. The gas station had a bit of a line but it wasn't bad. On the downside, the road leading here is one of Lexington's many traffic snafus, and with a hospital being built next door, one can expect it to get worse rather than better. Their app is also not as functional as my Sam's Club app was. They are pretty limited in what payment options they accept. While there are plenty of things here that aren't the quality I would want or are in sizes I won't use, I think I'll get good use out of my membership. read more

While taking care of a relatives Furbaby, I was gifted a Costco membership. I went to the store to purchase pet food/items. I was greeted immediately and directed to the membership counter. The associate explained all levels of membership thoroughly. Once my card printed, I browsed the store. As I walked in every department, I was greeted by other associates. I eventually found all the pet items and headed for checkout. Two associates offered to checkout my items and even scan them directly from my cart. However, I declined and checked the items myself. Love this place. Every time we come we find some winners. This time it was Calumet 15, a bottle of Peerless Rye, a Stellum Bourbon and a Makers 46 Cask Strength. It was a steep bill but cheaper than ANYPLACE else. We took our finds to the car, went to the store and bought another $200 in items. I usually get gas at the gas station of this Costco location at like 7:00 a.m. on Sundays because my parents gifted me a bunch of Shop cards. Today, I went and I waited in the parking lot closest to the gas station. When I arrived at a pump, I heard a friendly "Good morning!" and I turned to see a gal who then told me that I could jump the gun and help myself to a pump before 7 a.m. Really, I wait until 7 a.m. as courtesy for the associates to get everything ready. Weird how they are encouraging someone to come in earlier. If it were me setting these pumps up, I would try to do everything to make sure people can only enter at 7 a.m. There is a reason for this time. Nice to know though. read more

My husband and I were there at 3pm this afternoon. It was busy as normal for a Friday. I had 4 items that I self-checked. The problem began as we realized that the line to get out the door was backed up to the check-out counters. We moo'd along with the rest of the cattle; all of us complaining. The guy checking the receipts was fast friendly and efficient. The woman on the other side was physical placing her finger on every single item corresponding to what was listed on the receipt of each guest. I handed her my receipt and said "4 items" an pointed to them. She took her finger and touched each item then slowly drew her Sharpy down my list. My husband kindly .mentioned to her that the line was backed up to the check-out counters. She said, "I don't care about that ! and laughed. With the courtesy desk right there I thought that a manager with a Sharpy might have jumped in to help. read more

I really do love Costco overall. I'd like to point out that someone did put "contains almonds" with their Açaí bowl on their sign. I'm so glad that they have become more conscientious of those with allergies. I love Costco's sample booths around and their quality of items is 100% awesome! This Costco location is like any other you will visit. My cousin shops at this location, so I have visited a few times with her. You can get really great deals here, if you're looking to purchase items in bulk. If you're in the market for larger quantities of produce, meat, or party/event supplies (like frozen foods, dip, chips, etc.), I think this is a good place to pick those items up. My husband and I swung by here while we were in town to check out the new Costco and compare it to the Costcos back home (in Chicagoland). Parking wasn't an issue at all. Where were the crowds!? I guess they had better things to do on a sunny Monday than go shopping -- can't blame 'em. It's a typical Costco, but we were pretty impressed. The storefront looks a lot nicer (probably a newer design), the store itself was clean and spacious, and the employees were friendly [and honest -- one employee even encouraged us to look online for a particular item rather than buy from the store]. This Costco also has more outdoor/fishing/camping gear than some of the other locations, which my husband was excited about. Our new home can only fit so much (bulk doesn't really fit in), but we'll be back after we move to the area to continue enjoying our membership! read more

Costco is no joke one of my favorite places. I love getting a bargain, and here there are good deals at every turn! You know the concept- buy items in large quantities to get a discount. There is a membership required. Shopping here really is an experience- it's fun just to walk the aisles & see what they have. Ranging from mattresses, to vitamixes, and to breathalyzers, looking through the home goods section is always fun. In the produce area you can get good deals on produce you'll either eat quickly, or that keeps well. They have a great refrigerated/frozen food section here as well. It seems like lacroix are a better deal here than I've seen anywhere else. Household staples such as paper towels and laundry detergent are other great items to buy in bulk at Costco. They also have dry packaged goods like cereal, rice, and chips for cheaper than at the grocery store. This Costco also features a wine/liquor store as well as a gas station. I believe there is an optometry clinic as well as a pharmacy. Printing pictures here is the lowest prices I've seen! Good quality prints for a steal. We're from one of those "state run liquor store" states - which really means that finding good and well priced booze freaking sucks. So while whipping through Lexington on a cross country trip, we stopped in to hit the Costco Liquor store, and we made out like bandits. The prices were fantastic, we get 1.75's for the price of .750's at home, and the staff was super helpful. As we were checking out they got boxes ready for us and helped pack our booze haul well for the trip back home. Would definitely stop here again. read more

-Costco Gas Station- This is for Costco Gas station reviews only, however I am seeing lots of reviews for the grocery store. Today we came to get gas and found that the price was $.20 cheaper than surrounding gas stations. The gas seems to provide better gas mileage as it must be a better quality/grade than other gas stations. The area was clean and the attendant was polite and cheerful. We received a great product for the price and were off on our way. It's totally worth getting a membership at Costco just for the savings at the pump. read more

Normally I have nothing but positive things to say about Costco, but my recent trip to their Tire Center has been contrary to my normal experiences. I purchased four tires for my car online from Costco and had them installed at the store. The installation took about an hour and a half. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. All four of my wheels came back with serious damage, including impressions and deep marks along the inside edge of the rim. This is first tire change this car has ever had and had no previous damage. After the install all four had significant cosmetic damage. I confronted the store about this and the tire center manager was extremely rude and tried to brush it off as if nothing was wrong. I filed a claim with corporate and was told that there was no way their machines could cause this damage. Looking online at posts from others I would say this is absolutely wrong. After hearing friends rave about Costco, I went ahead and bought a membership last year. It's a great place to buy stuff from if you have a large family cos everything comes in bulk. I like that I can buy disposable cutleries, paper towels etc in bulk. The produce is fresh mostly but everything comes in a large pack, so we rarely buy anything except spinach and mushroom. The frozen food section is very large, they even have samosas. They carry name brand clothes too, surprisingly. It becomes too crowded during the weekend. The samples they give out are great. The liquor store has a wide variety and the prices are good. The food court seems to attract quite a crowd. The pizza is tasty and is very large if you buy a whole pie. read more
