What started out to be a pleasant experience dealing with Wright turned into a nightmare when I canceled a boat order. The boat was a Tidewater 2210 and the cost of the boat went up to 74K from the 64K I signed for on the buyer's order. Of course Wright (salesmen) is only the messenger. Stewart is the POS behind all of this. I've got stage 4 brain cancer and used to own a boat manufacturing company so I'm familiar with the buying process of a boat and if this company will do this to someone like me , who else would they do it to ? I'm aggravated about the $1000 but my main concern is that this doesn't happen to anyone else that may not have the resources I have. I plan to file a lawsuit against Marshalls Marine knowing that it may cost me 20K to get to court but this won't happen again. read more

We retired from Texas and moved to North Florida in 2019. We originally thought we would enjoy both salt/fresh water fishing so purchased a boat (elsewhere) feasible for both. After two years we decided we would go back to fresh water fishing and thus seeked out to trade our boat and purchase a Skeeter. We searched everywhere for the boat we wanted and only found exactly what we wanted at the Marshalls Marine in Lake City. Numerous other dealers told us everything was on back order and wouldn't be available till next Spring. Our sales person was Cody. We negotiated and shared texts and emails and within two weeks had set a date and drove to South Carolina with our trade in boat and after test driving our trade-in on their private lake we reviewed the paperwork and then test drove our new Skeeter and were on our way within 2 1/2 hrs. We were very happy with the professionalism and knowledge and expertise we were given from the minute we called the business to walking through the door meeting our salesperson(Cody)), finance person (Will) and our quality assurance man (John) !! John gave us his direct phone number and told us to feel free to call with any questions. We drove home and took out our boat the very next morning and after deploying our Minn Kota Fortress trolling motor we could not unlock it to bring it up. I googled it and found numerous others who had the same issue and no fix. I hesitantly called John who immediately knew our dilemma and had a quick fix and stated until its broken in do his trick. Marshal's Marine, Lake City & George Town. Well, let me tell you how this place does business!!! I went on line and found 3 Key West 263 FS with twin 200's at Marshal's Marine and I felt it was just what we needed for our place in Lake of the Ozarks, Their price was $119,590.00 which after shopping around was a great price, but I think their adds are what's called ringer adds, just to suck you in. So, I called Marshall's, talked to Ray one of their salesman, he e mailed me a contract and I put a $1000.00 deposit on their boat and planned on driving up there on Monday to pick it up. The following day I got a call back and was told that they could not sell me the boat do to the fact that BOATERS LANDING in Fort Myers Beach called them and complained that the boat was being sold too cheap, and cheating them out of there business as one of my homes is in Fort Myers Beach, so I called them back a few hours later to complain and then they said they just sold all 3 boats, these guys are a joke. Marshal's Marine uses very unethical practices to get you sucked in, Therefore I strongly suggest future boat buyers avoid this place like the plague, as there are so many other honest boat dealers out there. My 2020 Key West with less than 50 hours has been in shop over 5 times with rigging issues . Both Hydraulic and helm cables . Unresolved . I just want to enjoy my new boat without steering fluid oozing down the console and on my deck or in the aft cockpit . I'll start off by saying one star is too much. This company deserves - Stars. One week ago my wife and I went looking to buy a boat. After comparing differences between many boats, We ended up at Marshall Marine in Georgetown SC. The sales men was Frank. We told him what we were looking for. They ran our credit prior to us giving permission and we were approved. He didn't have what we wanted in stock. We found one in Charleston with another dealer. We told Frank that we are going to look at it. We were honest and up front with Frank. He did his best to sell us something else. Then said be careful of what you buy, you don't know how long it's been out in the sun. The next day Frank calls and says I found a boat just like the one your looking for. His price was more than the other dealer. I said I'll sleep on it. He said fine then hung up on me. Our dealer was less expensive plus he threw in Coast Guard package (life jackets, anchor etc) with a full tank of gas. Frank wanted more money and told me to go to wal mart to get fenders , anchor and lines. We decided to go with the other dealer. I called Frank to tell him. Frank said the following. If you buy your boat someplace else good luck when you need service and try to come here for it. The finance person we dealt with (Will) I called him to question why he ran my credit without permission he said he doesnt recall anything and it was DELETED from his computer. I have purchased three motors and one boat from Marshall's Marine. The last thing I purchased at Marshalls was a 90 hp Yamaha outboard. I had a antique 1972 Star Craft Center consul that I had restored completely. I rewired the entire boat at this time. I laid the wires into the trough that runs from the console to the rear of the boat before I installed the new floor. I took the StarCraft to Marshall's Marine to have a 90 hp Yamaha installed. During the installation when controls were pulled through wiring tunnel the wires where damaged. This caused the hill which is aluminum to be electrified. This caused extensive damage to the boat that I had just painted needless to say Marshall's Marine would not take responsibility for the damage. When you electrify and aluminum boat it causes Aluminum to oxidize which causes bubbles and damage to the paint. I would not recommend Marshall's Marine in Lake City for anything. read more

This dealership seems very nice when you first walk in the door. It's clean,and neat, however, that being said I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY A BOAT from these people. The salesman (Frank) lied to us and when we called him out on his lie he threatened us. He literally told us that if we buy a boat from them we would get great service, but if someone comes to their place to service a boat that was purchased elsewhere they get substandard service. HE SAID THAT. The finance guy (Will) ran our credit without permission and we were approved to buy a boat boat but then he wouldn't divulge to us which bank he used or any of the details we are entitled to. This is against the law and we are looking into this further as we speak. Since we purchased our boat (from a different dealer) we have bumped into many other boat owners who have had similar dealings with Frank. He was rude, dishonest and totally disrespectful. I would welcome the owner of this dealership to give me a call as I have many more gory details if he would like them. I also have names of other people who have since bought boats from Long shore, Hanckle and Coastal Marine. ALL of them decided not to buy from Marshall due to Frank's rude treatment.
