It is really hard to get used to a new location of the same store even if it's right in the same plaza! The new location it is pretty clean and bright. Even though it probably is just my imagination, the sections and product variety seem smaller. I do not like the new shoe section at all. For a short person, the higher shelves might provide more shoes, but I can't see them anyway as they are so above my eye level. This location was a bit difficult to get to due to construction and some entrances being closed. The store itself was also somewhat messy and a challenge to navigate. But, persistence pays off, I scored a pair of jeans and 3 tops for less than $40. Staffing must be an issue, long checkout lines with only 3 cashiers. I do like the bargains to be found at Marshall's, and will try them again when new facility is opened. Hopefully it will be more accessible and better organized and staffed. read more

If we're starting with service, An old lady named Sue was following me around the store, assuming I was stealing, when in reality the only thing getting stolen is my want to return to Sues store. As I'm walking around she shoved the empty cart she was rolling into the back of my shins. When I turn around I'm greeted with a jump scare. The child next to me started crying and running away because of the dirty, wrinkly, rbf I was met with. No apology. After that, I was looking at the men's underwear when I feel a soggy hand touch my butt. I turn my head and it's saggy sue. I YELL. A nice lady named Jessica came over and directed sues attention somewhere else so I was not being followed anymore. However, I could still feel sues negative, evil, stink fart cloud in the store. This location, simply put is just ok. I will not go out of my way to return. I find the other locations more to my liking. The selection here wasn't quite as nice as other stores. As with most Marshall's your finds can be hit-or-miss. The great thing about Marshall's is the variety of products they offer but it comes at a price.The price is, sometimes you have to be willing to search with undeniable patience to obtain that great find. Marshall's is my go to place for last minute affordable gifts. It's not the clothes that I like, it's the housewares, cooking gear, books, and packaged gifts. I go every year last minute and come out with the best affordable gifts! Full color hardback cookbooks are generally under $10. Many are only $5. They have unique cooking supplies that are fun to give as gifts. I bought several full color hardback cocktail handbooks to pair with vodka for gifts. All marked down to $3 ea. They were well received. They have everything from iPod accessory gift kits ($10), holiday decorations (4 ft silver metal tabletop Christmas tree that I saw at Macy's for $49, Big Lots for $25 and Marshalls for $13). A broken suitcase brought me to this Marshalls. I've never been one to shop for clothing, shoes or handbags at this store, but I do haunt Marshallls every few years for luggage. You've got to dig through some crap, but they have some great finds. I've never found better prices on good luggage than at Marshalls. When I pulled into the parking lot, my heart sank. This whole plaza looks old and dumpy. But once I entered, I was pleasantly surprised. The store was very well organized and clean, much more so than your average Marshalls or TJ Maxx. I found a great, modern looking black Samsonite carry-on rollerbag tucked amongst a bunch of gaudy suitcases (I had to dig, but I found what I was looking for...and cheaper than anywhere else!). Their housewares section is pretty good, too. I grabbed a nice scented candle to go with my suitcase. The young man who rang me up was very friendly. I only go to this Marshall's because it is close to my house. Customer service is okay. Today I was purchasing some items, close to $100. Tried to pay with cash, $100 dollar bill. She couldn't take it because they "couldn't find the line". Only 1 girl looked at it and then asked for another form of payment. I went out to my car and there was in-fact a line. Normally I love Marshalls, but had a bad experience today. I had bought these shoes a few days ago and they fit perfectly then and I decided to wear them for New Years. I wore them for maybe 10 minutes from my house to my car and got the worst blisters ever. I tried to return them today with the receipt, box, price tag, everything. They would not take them back. So not only do I have killer blisters on my feet, I now lost $25 and I'm a broke college student. Very disappointed. read more

Ok here's how soured I am on this store. I went in to return a piece of cookware around 9:45 on Dec 4, 11 Sunday morning (trying to beat the Xmas crowd). I went in with receipt and asked to return. I guess the tag had fallen off so the lady called the housewares to bring up a comparable pan so she could scan for the return. The girl who she called to do this wasn't bright enough to understand the request over the walkie talkie and had to walk up to the front to understand. Took her a bit of convincing then she finally got it. While I'm waiting this young man who was at the front desk when I arrived has been complaining about talking bad about customers, making horrible faces, complaining about the phone. Just made me shake my head at him more than once, and he didn't seem to care. Meanwhile 10mins later the girl brings up a pan as I was about to go find one myself. The guy still complaining now about customer phone calls. Lets just say no one worker was welcoming or in a hurry to get the job done. 17 mins later I was finally out of there. Take note, I was the only one in site to be waited on. This store is not the best and does not represent Marshalls at all. They need to take a class from the workers in Osage Beach, MO. Think about it Marshall's, you lost sales for this store based on a return. Wow.....better luck next Xmas. read more

Soooo yesterday (2/15/18) it's a nice day out. I decided to stop by my favorite store. I love finding random cardigans and jackets for a low price. My fiancé and I walks pass the purses and he says "hey baby , they have a nice variety of bags today." So we're looking at the purses and I find a MK bag I like . But apparently it's a lot of theft in that Marshall's because you had to wait for the manager. The manager took the bag upfront until we were done shopping. The man that was standing outside when we first walked in continues walking past us as we walk around I noticed him because of his bright green shirt. This manager we never seen til we asked for the purse starts walking past us also. I wanted to say f*** that bag at this point. I'm looking through the junior clothing and this lady comes over and starts to look also. Guess what? When I went to purchase the items I picked up. The lady that was roaming through shirts up at the DAMN REGISTER , the man with the green shirt is at the DAMN REGISTER AND WOOHOO THE MANAGER IS ALSO . Every BLACK person doesn't STEAL ! So yeah yesterday was my last time shopping at Marshall's on Lindbergh! You all should find a better technique to watch your customers instead of following them & eye-balling making them feel uncomfortable. read more
