It's just as good as store as any. I personally really like the style of urban outfitters but think it's a little pricey. This store always has super nice workers and it's pretty clean. Sometimes it can be hard to get an attendant to let you into the fitting rooms but once you grab somebody, they're super nice. I've made returns and placed online orders and store and they're always helpful. I also really love their clearance selection which sometimes goes up to 50% off of the clearance price. I am a little annoyed at urban outfitters the larger company because I bought a pair of pants size 25 and they fit really well and when I went to purchase a pair of pants in the same size they were way too small as seen in the picture. I don't know why there's so much range within the same brand and styles pants. But that's not indicative of the workers at this location just the company. read more

I love UO for little unique trinkets; gift items such as ceramic mugs with curse words, Pug t-shirts, jewelry dishes, books about irrelevant topics like "How To Take the Perfect Selfie" or "Rules of Instagram". I also enjoy Urban Renewal which is usually just overpriced rags they retro such as damaged high waist Levi shorts or Guess shirts turned to tube tops for a modern splash of fashion. UO also has home decor, cool sunglasses for the low, hats, shoes, band-aides with bad words and cartoon characters, socks with marijuana leaves, vinyl albums, nail polish, belts, lip balm and whatever else you can think of to waste your hard earned money on in the name of coolness. Great location! I purchased a button down and threw out the receipt, and tags (Idiot me, I know)! I wanted to exchange it for a smaller size, so I went back the next day, and they handled it very well. I was able to return the button down, and they looked up my purchase through the credit card I used to purchase it. Their selection was great, and I appreciated the fact that their location was right by an entrance, so that way I didn't have to walk all the way through the mall. read more

Ok...so it's really just another Urban Outfitters...but I can't believe no one has reviewed it yet. I had no idea we even had one in St. Louis. I was so excited to see it a few weeks back when I was catching a movie at the Galleria I had to stop myself from going in and blowing the last of my student loan money on plaid shirts and overpriced tank tops. Yes, Urban is somewhat painfully overpriced. Yes, it's made for little skinny hipster kids that look great in skinny jeans and trendy hats. All that said, I still love shopping here and if you hit the sale rack you can find some pretty good deals. Half of my scarves and hats come from this place. And lets not forget the hilarious sleeveless wolf running through the snow hoodie I found on the sale rack...I mean, where else can you find such rediculousness??? (ok, Value Village, but only on a REALLY lucky day) And if nothing else, you can always find SOME random book about outhouses or church signs of America to bring to a Yankee Gift Exchange. I wish I was hip, fresh and cool...but I am far from that.. I'm about as fresh as a Foghat concert. Thus, Urban Outfitters is not my kind of store. I stopped in last evening to pick up an ivory dress for my wife that was on hold. The staff was so helpful and really nice and got the dress pretty quickly. I wandered around as I waited and looked everything over. They have some cool things but definitely for a younger crowd. Nothing wrong with that but just not for me. The screen print tees and Amy Winehouse LPs really aren't my bag.. However, the staff was very nice and helpful. read more

Love-hate relationship. I've bought some REALLY great tights here. Dark green and dark red lace-y tights with really nifty patterns in them. Seriously love those tights, and they were on sale too. I wish they carried more tights like those in more colors and styles. I've also found some really cute jewelry and belts in here as well. But the clothing is so....urrrgh. Overpriced, terrible quality. Some odd years ago I bought a silk-y bolero thing with chiffon puff sleeves and it was a bright shade of blue...until I washed it. The blue dye BLED all over the place and stained the white lace on the bolero. Ick. Wtf? Do your manufacturers know about "prewashing" and "setting" fabrics?!?! Ffffff. Also I discovered make-up by a favorite British company of mine called "Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics." I almost died when I saw it sitting on the shelf in Urban Outfitters...because I thought you could only get it by ordering it on their website and paying out the butt for overseas shipping. It makes me glad to know the U.O. is now carrying one of my favorite brands without too much of a markup. :) I've also purchased a lot of cute plates for my apartment from their home-wares section, a flask for my booze, snoopy ornaments, an Alice in Wonderland coffee mug, and some paper lanterns for my (former) dorm room. The concept of Urban Outfitters is cool, but is not manifested in their St. Louis location. Urban started as a high-end resale shop. Now while they still resell some things, they charge an arm and a leg for them. No, I do not want to pay $50+ for a used jacket you just happened to find at a local Salvation Army. But they do have a few cool things... The novelty/housewares section is always fun. Although I'm not sure if I'd actually purchase a SEX Game for $15 or Homer Simpson Beer Glasses for $8. But their clearance section is really where it's at. I found a 'novelty' ice cube tray for a few bucks and a disc chair for dirt cheap. Also, their men's section is a tad bit overpriced, but if you know when and where to look, you can find what you need. The t-shirts are always a hoot to look through, but I'm not so sure I'd drop $30 on any t-shirt with a funny slogan. I have found cool shirts like "You must be this tall to ride this ride" or my sweet Red Stripe Beer shirt. Overall, I like going here and getting things. I was really excited when my stepbrother thought he might be working here. Employee discount, here I come! But alas, no such luck. I fell in love with this store in Vegas and couldn't wait until St. Louis got one. I have to admit the one in Vegas has much better sales and a wider variety of merchandise but I still love browsing the one here. The t-shirts and tanks are always overpriced but I can often find a good shoe or jewelry sale. I think the women's selection is superior to the men's, though. They also have a decent funky home goods section that's good for those Clayton kiddos who have free reign over their parents' credit cards. I really like this store. It has a fun setup, products you don't see anywhere else and great helpful service. While half the store is full of cloths, 3/4 even, if you are looking for a place for fun gift items, you might find it here. I bought a book for my niece and a 7" record, just because I haven't seen one sold anywhere. Their sales are a joke, always have racks that say 5 for 25 then they ring up as 80 bucks because "oh it's just the underwear" then why even have the rest of the clothing on the 5 for 25 display? i've been a semi-regular at urban for awhile but i think it's time for us to part ways. i've been informed my last few visits that a few of the employees that i thoroughly enjoyed (2 were african american, one had freckles, the other was a little thicker, and an older white girl maybe a manager?) and were nothing but helpful to me & my mom. new employees aren't awful, just not super polite or helpful. seems like everything is getting more expensive too. i live a little over an hour away so the trips aren't worth it just tog et ogled by employees who don't offer help:( read more
