I stopped into Kohl's yesterday on a whim to see what kind of dresses they had in stock. I'm currently on the hunt for a royal blue dress (which is harder to find than you'd think), and sometimes I get lucky at Kohl's. While I didn't find the dress I was looking for this time, I still ended up leaving with a few things. I picked up some cute decorations for St. Patrick's Day and Easter, which I'm excited to put out, and also found a small clearance section with Valentine's Day décor that was marked down, so I grabbed a few of those items too. While walking around, I tried on a few boots, sandals, and heels just for fun. There were definitely a couple pairs I liked, but I already own way too many shoes and talked myself out of buying more. This location had a pretty small Fiestaware selection, but I still checked to see if there was anything I needed. We also browsed the graphic tees, which are always fun to look through. Before checking out, I stopped by Sephora and grabbed a few clearance items, then headed to self‑checkout. Honestly, I was so happy to see they have self‑checkout now. I used to dread going through the regular cashier line because of the constant credit card push. I know they have to ask, but being asked over and over, especially when you're buying one or two items, is just annoying. No, I do not want to open a credit card for this purchase. So yeah, self‑checkout was a very welcome sight. I couldn't believe how many people were still waiting in line for the cashiers, but that just meant I was able to get in and out quickly. I do think Kohl's is like a smaller version of a mall since they do have a ton of different brands and lots of options for just about anything you might need. read more

Went in looking for a swim suite as I am going on a vacation soon. The swim suite selection was very slim pickings. It was hard to locate and I had to ask a sales associate where they were located. All of the Juniors, women's, and plus size swim suits are mixed together, so you have to sift through them to see if they have your size. Outside of the swim suits, the store was very well stocked in every department. They had a pretty decent sale going on, and a lot of clearance/marked down items. Staff were friendly and helpful. They have a separate counter for Amazon returns. Store was clean and organized. Plenty of parking outside. read more

I came in today looking for an Easter outfit. I was quite surprised to have several options in my size, and everything was on sale. I even got a clearance item for a good price. I got to try on a few things to make sure it fit well. The dressing room was packed, but I found an open slot quickly. I enjoy looking in the Sephora store, and they have a good selection of product. If I'd had more time, I would have browsed the home decor too. Another time! When I got to the checkout, I asked if there were any coupons available, and the cashier helped me find one on the website for 15% off. It was a painless trip today, and I won't wait so long to come back! read more

I probably should come here more often being that it's only a block from home but I don't. When I do though, I generally find some random cheap things that generally will come home with me. This Kohl's has so many sale items, it's insane! It might be a normal thing for Kohl's but still, sales get me excited! I generally come here for work clothes because they have a variety of office type clothes that will actually fit me. I don't like spending too much money on office wear so Kohl's is actually perfect. They also carry shoes. I've purchased some boots and flats here before. They're fine. They carry some decent brands in the shoe department as well as great sportswear! I like to peruse their sales and can sometimes find a few nice summer shirts for $7 or less. Kohl's also carry some small kitchen appliances. I personally have never bought anything for my kitchen here because I don't ever think of Kohl's while buying kitchen appliances but they have quite a selection. Overall, I'm generally happy with this store. They could use a better/faster checkout system but otherwise, I've never had a bad experience. read more

Being moderately tall, I've always found that big and tall stores sometimes miss the mark when it comes to providing a selection that works for everyone that may come in, but they usually have somewhat of a variety. Looking at this the big and tall section had no pants longer than 32 inch inseam. The sizes were things like 48 waist 32 tall. I'm sorry, but that shouldn't be called a big and tall section, just big. Didn't miss the mark they didn't even try. read more

I am not a big fan of kohl's but my daughter wanted to check out their baby section. I can never find anything for myself there due to high prices or the clothes just aren't my style. I was surprised that we find such good clothes in the baby section that were modestly priced. read more

I hate Kohl's. And they are really far from downtown where I live. That said, they had a men's dress shirt with schnauzers on it that I had to have. At $10 shipping, I decided to pick it up. It's 12 miles away, ugh, and the store is exactly as it was 15 years ago. It's full of that nasal Missouri accent, you know the one, talking about their iCloud account passwords on their cell phone, and rooting through the men's sale socks for Rand back home. The online pickup area is full of people returning Amazon stuff that, I guess, they can't just return themselves like I do. It wasn't clear where to pick up the online order but eventually I figured it out. Safe to say, I'm not going to be a regular here. Unless they stock a martini shirt. read more

Kohls plus size clothing is really quite poor. Their sizes aren't true. And the whole department is jammed into one tiny corner. After losing more than 30lbs, I was excited to shop for a smaller size but very depressed after trying on the poorly fitting, poor quality clothing in the plus size dept. News Flash, Kohls- Plus sized woman should not have to pay more money for sub par fashion. Fat people still face discrimination! I've also been disappointed in other areas of the store too. The shoe department never has the size I need in the shoe I want. It doesn't matter what if I'm buying for myself or other family members. read more

Kohl's is better then TJ Max, Marshall's and even Stein Mart. I just wish they were at a better location so I'd remember to shop them more often. This location is not on my normal path for shopping so I have to make this a destination store. Great for men's casual clothes and accessories. The home goods are pretty impressive as well. I have gotten several good deals on pots and pans and other kitchen goodies. Their prices were lower then BB&B. Only downside is the customer service, it is bare bones. If you need assistance on the floor, good luck on finding someone. The cashiers are perky and cheerful, just a shame they do not have the same type of associates on the sales floor. It pretty much is a self serve, self find department store. Small warning to those who are claustrophobic, this store is cluttered. Very cluttered, they pack in as many racks and tables full of merchandise as they possibly can and that is why you save big $'s on your purchases. read more

I made a purchase with a variety of clothing items for my son and my husband as we had a few events going on. I purchased a pair of Chaps dress pants for my son. When we got home, the pants were not in the bag. All of our other items were in the two bags. My purchase was over $400, so you can imagine there were quite a few items. I returned to the store yesterday with my receipt to either get my money back or obtain the pants. I spoke with the girl at the customer service desk first and she was very pleasant and helpful. She referred me to her store manager, who was not. Chris was rude and condescending. He watched a video of my transaction, and explained that all of the items went in to the bag. I asked if he saw that particular item inserted in to the bag, and he would not say that...only that he saw a stack of clothing items bagged. I asked him to check his inventory, and he stated his inventory is not accurate and touted he does $60,000 a day and inventory will be off. He walked away from me without finishing the conversation and I called him out on that, because I thought it was very rude. He stated "I don't know what to tell you. Everything was in the bag." I have one 12 year old child who was with me. I had two bags. I know that the pants were not in the bag. I had nothing else in my trunk. I only shopped at Kohl's that evening and had no other bags. If there was any question in my mind, I would not have returned to the store. I needed to make an additional purchase when I went in to discuss this issue, but I refused to do it at this Kohl's. I spend a lot of money with Kohl's and have contacted their main customer service line. They are very pleasant and willing to help, and a dispute has been filed. I will NEVER return to this Kohl's and will tell everyone I know about this experience. No one should pay for something they did not receive!!! This issue deserved some attention and I hope it does not happen to anyone else. read more

One of my favorite places to go for affordable men's clothes, I find this Kohls -- although the location sure stinks -- convenient and well-stocked. Their jeans, shirts, shoes, and even some of their dress clothes are very decent. Now I'll be the first to admit that I'm no fashionista, but this place meets my needs and doesn't leave me lookin' like a bum. My only thought: geez, guys, get consistent with your pricing! I don't like shopping at a store and wondering if I could be saving more money if I had arrived two hours sooner. But with their weirdly-timed specials, bizarre scratch-off coupons, and more, I always feel like I'm disadvantaged by not clinging onto every scrap of Kohl's advertisement that comes my way. I will never understand their pricing. Bought two packages of underwear and it was $40. Say what, that's crazy. I did buy some other things though and the lady at the register told me I could save by opening a Kohl's charge. She said it did not show up as a "hard pull" on my credit. I believed her, got a card but it did show up as a hard pull. Not sure if she was given bad information and passed it on or exactly why she told me that. Whatever it was, you should not give people bad information. The store was clean, nothing wrong except crazy pricing and incorrectly telling me credit will be a soft pull. read more

I'm not sure how I've gone this far in life without shopping at Kohl's, but my trip here was my first. These are my impressions: -There is a lot of merchandise in this store, and it's packed pretty tightly. -The store has a claustrophobic feel to it and it's hard to get around. -It's also hard to figure out where things are located. -Prices are not listed or easily found on merchandise. Very, very frustrating. -There is a distinct lack of staff. After wandering aimlessly for almost half an hour in search of an item, I had to wait in line at customer service to ask someone for help finding it. In the end, Kohl's didn't have what I was looking for. I specifically came here because they had a good selection on their website. When speaking with customer service, I was told that they don't carry in-store most of you find online. The merchandise seemed to be of good quality. Unfortunately, Kohl's is just too unpleasant of a shopping experience to make this a regular destination. read more

I love Kohl's for a few reasons: *cheap essentials (camis, socks, accessories) *tons of sales (see: cheap) *home goods They're sort of notorious for all their sales (everything and anything is on sale at any given time during the week, honestly), so it's funny if you ever look at their actual price tags. Some of their clothes are almost outrageously priced for the quality - I could go to clothing stores in the mall for these prices and get better clothes. But, with their constant sales, the prices are brought back down to reality. Makes you wonder why they just don't price things lower to begin with and forget about all the sales, but whatev. One thing I almost forgot, is they have some of the nicest dressing rooms - spacious, with nice dark wooden doors. Overall, a solid store, and I like coming here to check out everything - clothing and shoes to home goods and small appliances. Some nicer stuff than Target, but not as nice as a nicer department store, like a Macy's - it's a good in between. read more

This store has a ton of great deals and Kohl's Cash Rocks! For example: I bought a $68.00 Blazer on clearance for $7.00 I bought a $90.00 watch that was 35% off and used earned Kohl's cash to purchase for $.43 cents They have great women's casual, business and sports brands like: Rock & Republic Jennifer Lopez Lauren Conrad Nike Reebok They also have great deals on housewares and bedding! The only shortcomings of this location is that the store is a bit cluttered, which makes it hard to maneuver through the aisles and you spend an inordinate amount of time sifting through the racks and most of the staff can be pretty surly, rude, unhelpful and flat out lazy. I have had one too many negative experiences at this location, but it's close and they have great deals, these are my only reasons to continue to shop there. Let me also say...the cashier's are great! However, anyone you may ask a question of on the floor usually acts as if you are a bother and wasting their precious time and the ladies behind the Customer Service desk are always dreadful! read more

Not impressed at all. I get that it's the Christmas season and those workers put in tons of hours and with many, many customers. In my youth I did the same work. HOWEVER, instead of taking responsibility this evening to follow up with the first manager I had spoken to (who was still on the premises)...this manager accused me, the customer, of just trying to "take advantage of (the manager's) generosity". was n In all my experience while working retail and being a customer, I have NEVER witnessed worse customer service. It is far short ot the level of customer service that a manager of Kohl's should be saying. I would have been canned on my butt for saying such a thing when I worked retail. I was never told that I would need to do a return and recharge my debit card, and would have not permitted it. I was just suppose to get $10 refunded...no mention that that much money would have to be tied up (possibly overdrafted) on my debit card for my checking account, to make the correction happen. When I explained that we don't have those kind of funds to have out of our account for a few days and then charging it again, that it would cause an overdraft, I was told, " what is going in your life outside this store is none of my business mam". I was told I had to run the card or he would have to undo what he had done which meant I would be shorted $10 if that happened. I had been on the phone earlier with a different manager who knew I would be coming in this evening. Not one mention that I can recall, that I would have all this activity on my debit card with the few day delay on funds going back on my card. All of this, and risking a $36 overdraft fee to save $10... I just wanted him to talk to her. If I misunderstood then fine, but I didn't deserve being spoken to like that. Further I did have more options available to me in accomplishing in getting my original order to my home that this store never in any communication let me know. I had to call the .com number and I got the item that they were out of stock on. Really tragically poor customer service. And humiliating a customer in front of others pretty much guarantees no one from our household will be patrons of that store again. And I have witnessed their store is not in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act due to most times I am there, a regular size wheelchair/scooter can not get through some of the aisles. Corporate stated that if what I say is true, they are out of compliance. Hopefully that will light some incentive for the management to make an effort on that. I know several of us in the area have complained to their store about it. Our money spends just like anyone else's does. If we can access their goods, we can't buy their stuff as easily. P.S.update: I spent several hours dealing with emailing, phone calls and so on to get it all straightened out. I hear people say customer service is dead. They have not shopped at Kohl's in Crestwood! Time and time again, customer representatives have gone above and beyond in helping me find what I need and then selling it to me for less than I expected. All with a smile, a good attitude and a sincere willingness to help. Now that's some healthy customer service! That is why Kohl's is my favorite place to shop, both in store and online. Yep - I am a bona fide Kohl's fan. This is where I go when I know what I need and either cannot find any super fantastic mall store deals or simply do not want to pay crazy brand name prices. They always have some kind of deal or sale going on or so it seems. I am a picky, picky clothes shopper but have no trouble finding shorts, dress shirts, tops, tanks, and shoes at Kohl's. If I walk out of there and haven't spent $50-100 - it's a Christmas miracle. This particular location is the closest so it is frequented the most. The customer service folks have always been helpful and nice as I have returned/exchanged several items in my time. They recently moved their cust. service desk to the front, which is awesome. It was previously in the back and somewhat jammed as far as space and lines go. The store is relatively organized, and I can usually find the sizes I need with ease. Their shoe dept. is perfect in size - plenty of selection and room to try on and test drive. I have also found some amazing home goodies in the home section - esp. end of the season deals on say patio/outside items. Their markdowns are a steal. It's all about timing, though. I have frequented many Kohl's stores and can't complain about any of them. There is less hassle and madness than malls (at least when I shop), and I'm not dropping a Benjamin or two on a couple items but rather taking home at least 2-3 mega bags when shopping at Kohl's. There's no reason to miss out of deals because they surely inundate you with sale literature/coupon codes/etc. whether it be snail mail or email. The online site is great, but the in store experience is the way to go....way more selection. read more

Returns weren't too bad after a big Christmas of clothes. You always have to return something if you're guessing for people (or they're guessing for you). All my after Christmas purchases were from the clearance racks and they let me use a coupon for more off and another $10 off for spending $30. I love Kohl's. I don't understand why anyone would go to Macy's. They limit you to only one discount and don't take prices down from "every day low prices." What a joke Macy's! Kohl's is supposed to have good policies and deals so I'll be adding a wedding registry soon. Never had a bad experience. Ordering online is easy. I'm a new Kohl's devotee, and wow can you save money there. I love how it's a department store that carries pretty much everything but without having to go to the mall. It's close to my house and always quick to get checked out. It is fairly well organized, though around holiday time it gets a bit messy but not for long. Sign up for rewards and get money towards future purposes. Kohl's cash is awesome - it's literally like cash you can spend. They have mens, womens, kids, babies, maternity (small section - more online) and more. I love how they have a huge variety of sizes, incuding plus size for men and women, plus petites and talls. Rarely do I visit without finding what I need - and more! I'm someone who shies away from credit cards, only having one, but I am considering opening one here since the savings are so big. Whoa. I just read Jessica's review of Kohl's, and I'm speechless (and man, Jessica, I'm sorry for the shitty service they gave you). I have to say, I've never had a bad experience at that location. I get my nieces' Christmas stuff there with no problem (around the holidays, Target runs out of sizes pretty fast, so I go here), some work clothes, towels, etc. Kohl's stuff isn't really exciting, it just is. But it's what I need at the moment. I will say, when they are having their big sales, going later at night is less crowded. But it's usually a mess, too. read more

The online pickup is a mess! They have a line 7 people long with only one person working! They had to people for returns. I don't understand why one of those other people couldn't do pick ups as well. Considering the time of year it is you would think they would have more people working! BEWARE! Do not register here and do NOT buy from here if your bride/mom to be is not registered here. Stick with Bed, Bath and Beyond, Macy's and others that have a FAIR return policies. I'm speechless. I didn't even want to give this place even one star. What a horrible experience. We just got married and had some family members purchase items at Kohl's--mind you, we weren't registered there. We would have kept the items but they didn't match and belong to the dish family we were trying to complete. I toyed with getting the receipt from my relative, apprehensive this would be an ordeal. But, I didn't want to be tacky! I figured, they deal with this stuff all the time. I tried to return a place setting and was told they could only give me $8.90 in STORE CREDIT. Unbelievable. I felt like I had no option. After apprehensively processing the transaction, I walked back to the kitchen items to see the same set being sold for $50+!!!! I couldn't believe it. I went right back to returns for an explanation and was told it has to be credited to the lowest sale item in the US!!! My poor relative who spent $50+ and a company who takes advantage of these special occasions knowing they'll profit and happily take money out of your family's pockets. Then the rep told me, "see, I wouldn't have done that. I would have exchanged." When I asked if we could reverse this out she said, "sorry, it's too late."
