My favorite brunch spot in Prague. It has a quaint, charming atmosphere and traditional brunch food. the goat cheese omelette is fantastic and their bread is baked fresh. it's a small space so there's usually a wait, but the food is definitely worth it.

This is a perfect brunch spot but seating is very limited so be ready to wait. The wait was very worth it. The food and drinks were great. The atmosphere gave me a very home-y vibe!

Came here on Saturday morning and the place was packed! We were seated on a small two top in the middle of the restaurant which was fine for us, but it seemed like we were in the way of the servers getting around. I had a macchiato and BF ordered juice. Both were fine. I ordered the French breakfast and BF ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. He ended up getting the ham Benedict but just ate it so we didn't have to wait for his new entree. He ate it all but said it just tasted average. My French breakfast looked good, but unfortunately that's all it was. The hard boiled egg was wayy undercooked. The whites of the egg were still liquid, making it impossible to eat with a spoon because it was just a jelly-like consistency. That made me grumpy because I was love eggs. The croissant was fine. And the selection of cheeses were okay, but nothing remarkable. Fruit was standard. Service was a bit rude. I get that it was busy but didn't see the need for an attitude. It's a cute place, but there's better restaurants and friendlier service!

Nice place to stop by to grab something to eat after a stroll along the Vltava River. Waitresses are friendly even to tourists, especially compared with the local standard. Had strawberry mimosa, English Breakfast, and French Omelette with Goat Cheese, which are a nice break from local traditional Czech foods.

[OVERALL] I really love this place. The interior feels super homey, and the waiters are super nice. The food takes quite a bit of time to come out (20-30 minutes), but the prices are very cheap, the portions are very reasonable, and the food itself is always pretty good. There's also free WiFi that's actually fast and consistent. Breakfast items are served all day on weekends too! [FOOD] Eggs Benedict with Ham: To be honest, this tastes okay. It's not amazing, but it's not bad at all. It is quite filling though. Fluffy Omelette: Very good. The eggs are nice and light, and there's a fresh side salad that comes with it. Five Pancakes with Bacon and Maple Syrup: These were really good. The pancakes are about the size of your palm, and they're nice and fluffy. The bacon pairs well with the sweet maple syrup. Croque-Madame Sandwich: Pretty standard sandwich. It's really filling. Marthy's Home-made Pure Beef Burger: The burger tastes very very good; however, it's sometimes hit or miss, as the bun is sometimes a little dry/stale and the fries are sometimes soggy. Nevertheless, the burger itself is very juicy and the onions are super sweet and delicious. Grilled Goose Breast (Monthly Menu - December 2016): Comes in a very big portion. The goose is really good and tender with a slightly gamey taste. The cranberry espuma is slightly sweet and reminds me of yogurt. Waffles: They were nice and fluffy and a good way to end a meal.

My go-to breakfast spot in Prague! The French toast and omelettes are delicious. The dishes are all inexpensive and the service is great!

Dissapointing. We heard good things about this place. Our food took an hour and it wasn't that good. The ratatouille portion was small and I wasn't even close to full afterward. My friend got the galette and it was more of a crepe? Also she found a hair in her food. I saw the lady working there drop a baguette and didnt throw it away after she picked it up. Lastly, they charge you for tap water which seems ridiculous. They seem understaffed and the other customers around us seem to be waiting a long time for their food as well. The decor is cute and the wifi is decent, but I definitely wouldn't come back.

Amazing food! This was the first place we ate at in Czech and let me tell you, we were not discussed. It was delicious! The interior is really cute as well. Rustic style.

Excellent chilled lemonade! The breakfast was perfect, too. The WC was a little tricky to find given the fact that the door was open and not marked well. One server kindly directed me where it was, though, while the other (perhaps a kitchen staff member) rudely mumbled in Czech about how silly it was that I went the wrong direction. Besides that, we enjoyed our time at Marthy's.

Our party of four (4) arrived without reservations and were informed of a 30 to 40 -minute wait. We were invited to have a drink in the bar which is off the hotel entrance. Within 20-minutes the hostess informed us that our table was ready. Duck with cherry sauce and braised beef with gravy and dumplings were outstanding. Although we did not have room for dessert, they looked amazing in display near the maître de desk. Several parties arrived as we were leaving to have coffee and desert.

The space itself is grand and beautiful, but the experience went downhill immediately. The hostess seemed to wield all the power in the room--no smile, barely any eye contact, just a curt and judgmental "no reservation." The restaurant was far from full. She then added, "I only have a side table for you," as if that were some sort of compromise. We accepted. At first glance, the waiters looked well presented, but with a bit more observation, the illusion faded. Some had sagging pants, untucked shirts, and most concerning, repeatedly inappropriate hand placement while on the floor. It happened more than once, which was uncomfortable and distracting (see photo). Overall, the place feels very pretentious without delivering on substance. The food wasn't anything special, and the desserts were average at best and certainly not worth the hype or the attitude. I wouldn't recommend Cafe Imperial to friends, especially if you're expecting a warm welcome or standout desserts.

My omlette was very good, with goat cheese and spinach, and my wife liked her eggs which were sunny side up over some vegetables and a avocado purée. That said, we had a gorgeous yet really disappointing pancake order here that just wasn't acceptable at all. The pancakes were thick, premade and tasted more like crumpets topped with fruit than pancakes, but what was inexcusable was that the pancakes themselves came out cold and hard. How does that even happen? On the other side of things, the expresso drinks were adequate, the egg dishes were enjoyable, the orange juice was fresh squeezed and the brown bread and butter that comes out (complementary) with breakfast is wonderful. If you do opt to come here, head to egg dishes, their bread and expresso, and away from their not good pancakes.) (Wish they would discontinue or replace the pancakes here. These hard, heavy, cold pancakes bring their morning meal average down a level, considering the other dishes here are a-okay.)

Our hotel was very close to the restaurant and we literally stumbled upon it (when quite hungry after a long travel day) and it quickly became one of my top five dining experiences ever! We visited Prague during the Christmas market season so the restaurant was glowing with holiday spirit. The staff was amazing and the food impeccable. I am still dreaming about this meal. The menu changes frequently but on this cold winter evening, we enjoyed the warm mushroom bisque, a grilled seafood dish with pasta, and the duck breast with gratin potatoes. I have never ordered duck before (other than confit on a salad) and this was "off the charts" delicious! Such a wonderful experience.
