They also say They taught my child her ABCs and other learning songs. Now, the daycare wasn't bad, it was close to home and I get to do a double shift at work if I needed it. now my issue is: 1 day when I was at work, I got a phone call from the day care , with the owner in a panic as she tells me my daughter just fell off a chair.( the chair is about less than a foot off the ground and it had padding on the floor). So when she said she fell , I said don't worry about it (this was a face time call), and she looks fine to me. so I decided to stay at work and do a double. She called me in the morning and she was giving me updates throughout the day about my daughter's well-being. however around 7pm, she sent me a pic of my daughter and her right eye was very red and it looked bad. Being that I had a couple more hours at work, I decided to stay due to the fact that she wasn't crying and acting normally , I decided to finish my shift. My shift would be done by 11pm. at 9 am I called my cousin and sent her the pic and she was very upset, she told her mom and her mom decided to Call the owner and asked what happened my aunt asked what was the child to staff ratio and she couldn't even answer it. She told my aunt 1-2 as in 2 children to 2 adults. my aunt then said she was understaffed. the owner then said no, she isn't because she claimed there were enough staff. It was 4 children there with 2 adults . My aunt then asked how many staff takes care of 1 infants. She couldn't answer that straight forward as she said there were 1 staff to 1 toddler and an infant. My cousin worked at a daycare and she was telling me that according to the law you can not have 1 adult to an infant and a to toddler. It has to be 2 adults to 1 infant . (My child is of course considered an infant). anyways, what really got me upset was when my aunt tried to ask Her exactly what happened and she kept going around in circles . She first said to me that she fell off a chair trying to reach for a toy then she told my aunt she was playing with another child and she fell and hit her head on the chair. I left work immediately because now I don't know what' Really happened. When I got there I asked her where she was and she told me she was right next to her. So I said how could you let her fall? She then said to me that it happened so fast. I really think that she wasn't there at all and wasn't paying attention to my child and now she doesn't even know what really happened. When I looked at my daughter's eye I noticed a cut on her eye. I went to the hospital when I left the daycare , thankfully they said everything was fine and put Bacitracin on her eye for the cut. I also Did a follow up with her doctor and she said everything will be fine and the bruises We're superficial nothing deep . Bottom line is, this daycare was negligent to my child and I was paying for their service! They should be treating my child like their own! That's why I paid my money! I should be able to leave my child somewhere knowing that she would be in good hands. This wasnt a free service. this was terrible. Accident or not. You left my 1 year old alone and she had an accident and you can't tell me what happened because you weren't there! If you put your child in this daycare good luck! because she doesn't have enough staff to watch your child.
