Their communication and reviews had me sold. Then when they installed the equipment it didn't match what we paid for. The error was recognized by me and they offered me an extended warranty as a result. Due to their great service during this time I felt like they resolved my issue. There were also hiccups with the air unit that they fixed. Fast forward to 2026 when we needed a new water heater. We received several quotes and this one was comparable. They installed it a few days later and all appeared well. We paid $575 for the permit process to Balanced Comfort. They said we would get the inspection within 1-2 weeks. I called three different times and was told they did the paperwork, and lastly to call the city myself. When I called the city they said it had never been filed. I had to call Balanced Comfort again and again to get the plumbing manager to call me back. When he did it's clear he doesn't have customer service training. He's rude and was like oh well it's filed now. It took six weeks total and action on my part or it may never have been completed, a paid service. Next up the inspection. spoiler alert! We didn't pass. The inspector was clear they cut corners and should have known better. He advised I call the company and let them know. When I did, the plumbing manager was beyond rude to me and said "these things happen".... I will never give them my business again.

We had a new HVAC unit installed and this was the company that my HVAC installers had called for…read morethe inspection. There were pluses and minuses with this experience; although, the minuses outweigh the pluses. Let me start with the scheduler whom I will say is quite persistent. Called twice within a 5 minute period of time, and then texted... that's fine. But the urgency behind the messages were a bit frustrating. I had scheduled a time for them to come out which was to be Memorial Day between 12 and 3. So, on the day of the first scheduled appointment, I got a text an hour or so BEFORE the scheduled time telling me a tech was in the area and could come by early. We weren't home, so I had to reschedule for a couple of days later (same time slot). I will say, the scheduler didn't really give me direction as to where this inspector was going to inspect... the ducts? The attic? The air vents? The unit the roof? No guidance whatsoever... I had to ask questions since I've never been through this process before. THEN when the tech sowed up the rest of the story happened. He was super polite and courteous, but he never offered to wear booties in my home and I had to tell him those were needed on all carpeted areas. He was super efficient and quick which I appreciated but he left a mess behind. We live in a 50!year old house that still has popcorn ceilings in some areas, and when he tested the air return, a bunch of popcorn fell into the carpet and tiled areas. Sadly, the guy just left it like that and didn't even bother to clean up after himself... not good! So, my recommendation to the owners of this business is to coach your people to offer booties for their shoes when they enter a home AND vacuum your mess up. I wasn't very happy that I had just vacuumed a few hours prior and a mess ensued by a contractor without being cleaned up.

Andrew from allbritten showed up and discover the whole issue was a chewed up data cable. He worked his wonders for few hours, restored the system and then worked his magic with his superiors to get us an amazing price !!!! I have hired many contractors before but never ever received such a service as this company provided. I'm extremely grateful that they didn't push a new system and really showed their professionalism and customer care!!!

Beware of High Quotes for Simple Repairs…read more I recently had an outdoor faucet break off, leaving the threaded portion stuck inside the pipe. While I'm not a plumber, I'm reasonably handy and felt it might be something I could fix with the proper tools. I contacted Allbritten and scheduled a service call. Pricing was not discussed beforehand because I was told the plumber would need to assess the work and use a company pricing system to determine the cost. The plumber arrived on time, was professional, courteous, and explained that he had performed this type of repair many times before. After evaluating the situation, he returned with a quote and described the work in great detail, comparing the complexity to a surgical procedure. I interrupted and simply asked what the repair would cost. I was given a price range of more than $500 on the low end and more than $800 on the high end. When I asked what would happen if the repair only took 10 minutes, I was told the company charges flat-rate pricing regardless of how long the work takes, although he could contact his supervisor to see if the price could be reduced. I declined the repair based solely on the quoted cost, paid the service-call fee, and we parted on good terms. Afterward, I went to Home Depot, purchased a pipe extractor kit for less than $15, and removed the broken pipe threads myself in under 10 minutes. My issue is not with the technician, who was polite and professional throughout the visit. My concern is with a pricing system that can result in a quote of $500 to $800+ for a repair that, in this case, required a simple tool and only a few minutes of work. I encourage homeowners to get multiple estimates, ask detailed questions about pricing, and consider whether a repair is truly as complex as the quote suggests.

The sales guy - hit us up for money weeks after our roof install. Asked for $100-200 bucks to get him to the next paycheck. Even though in his sales pitch told us all about how Vezina was different and he wasn't commission based and they paid their team so well. They forgot to calculate the correct square footage of materials needed for the roof. After contracts signed and financed they "forgot" to add in the size of the garage. They mentioned during prep that demo could get a little messy, but they would clean up at the end of each day. We asked if we need to clear out the garage, cover anything, take stuff out of the rafter "Oh no it's nothing that crazy. Just some dust." They did clean up the nails in the yard at least. But it was definitely a chaotic mess in the garage from all the wood left behind of the old roof. They fell through the ceiling during install. Luckily the worker was totally okay but my bedroom was not. Complete lack of urgency in patching up the hole same day so we didn't have an unfinished skylight in our bedroom. The latch job was rushed and shows, there was talk to come repaint my ceiling and 3 years later still waiting. I've given up calling about it. They did offer to put in new insulation to replace what fell out and replace anything destroyed but took months of follow ups and calling to get this in place. The windows. Told it would be a 2 day process. Happened in 4-6 hours. Felt rushed and I'm seeing now that it completely was. Asked the workers to please keep a certain door closed so I cat wouldn't get out and to let me know when they get to that part of the house so I can put her in a secure area. You know where this is going, she got out and they just shrugged that they needed to get that area done. Luckily she only went a yard over and is okay. The roof caving in on her during the roof install was much more traumatic for her. Took her a long time to go back into that room. During measurements of the windows the project manager (who is the best part of that company tbh, she was lovely, nice, explained things well and in detail) let us know we could change orientation of some windows to update them to our needs at no cost. This was great and we did a double open window in a bathroom so it could open from the top or bottom at the same time and have a screen all the way for air flow. Something got lost from that day to install and the full screen function didn't get installed. Over a year later it got resolved despite many calls to the office on the issue with zero call back. When they did come out to resolve it it was only because the finance company got involved after asking me if I would recommend Vezina and I said absolutely not. The guy that came out blamed us for not catching it on our contract we signed - which they couldn't send me a copy of oddly. And said it was on us not them and they shouldn't even fix this issue for our mistake. He was also very condescending to the project manager who came with him and would not let her talk. She said it was her error in not selecting an option and how it got left off the final configuration and he did not want us to hear or remember that admission. It was a screen on a window, not a whole new window. Last year we had an energy audit done on the house and the amount of areas of concern around our windows is comical for windows done within 3 years. The tech showed me the spots where you could see that the insulation foam used to seal the windows and walls had massive gaps. I have zero faith in anything getting fixed there because the windows would have to be replaced to do so. Then today which prompted me to finally make this review was seeing the state of the garage window. It is warping. This is on the inside in the interior of the garage. Don't think this should happen ever really, but especially within 3 years (less technically. Windows were done July 2023). Please save yourself the headache. Pick another company. The only positive was the project manager.

Instead of providing me with an estimate, I was told I'd be "better off" going to Lowe's or Home Depot for the lowest prices. If I wanted the cheapest option, I would have gone there myself. They claim to have been in business for 25 years, offer great service, and stand behind their work but this interaction was the opposite of great service. A professional company should be willing to provide a quote and show why their quality and service are worth the price, not dismiss a potential customer and tell them to shop elsewhere. Based on my experience, I'll be taking my business to a company that actually values customers and stands by their promise of great service.
